Ashton stared at Valli, his lower lip shaking as he spoke. He could see it though, he wasn't stupid like a lot of people thought him to be. He was SCARING this poor man without intending to. He was an absolute monster, really he was.

"You...You promise? If...If I stay with someone I'm not gonna be bottled up again? Left alone in a living hell to fend for myself till my powers absolutely control me and turn me into some monster again?" he asked. His voice cracking terribly.

No powers erupted this time. Usually, they only showed themselves when Ashton was angry. Sadness didn't usually....cause a reaction. And he was feeling an immense amount of guilt and sadness right now.

He slowly looked at his feet as tears welled in his eyes before spilling down. "I...I'm sorry. I-I didn't mean to scare you or hurt you if I did." he wrung his hands tightly together till his knuckles began to turn white. His heart thumping loud in his ears.

The entire situation was a mess. It wasn't the worst situation Valli had been in with a client, but it was definitely in the top ten percent. Most sessions went by without any sort of tension, but this one--he'd already been injured, the cuts on his arms stinging. Really, he'd been lucky--the cuts were fairly shallow, and the bleeding was minimal. Even so, he still planned to get it looked at, if only to be sure.

"Manta Carlos isn't like that," Valli said, trying to get his voice back to normal. "Everyone here is strange. Everyone here is different. There are people just like you here, and they can help you."

He didn't mention the apology. The less he mentioned Ashton's mistake, the better things were likely to turn out. He needed Ashton calm, although it seemed like crying was a step up from anger in terms of danger.

Ashton said nothing. In reality, he couldn't. He was breaking into thousands of pieces inside. Really...he just wanted to go home. He wanted to go back to that home he had with his mother. However, after she passed it was sold for her funeral costs.

Slowly, he nodded his head. "...I-I understand..." he whispered softly.

Slowly, he sat back down now. He was far more relaxed then he had been previously. Using his hands to wipe his eyes now, sniffling deeply. He wanted to apologize again to the other, but doubt it would work.

It was quiet for awhile, a long while actually. Eventually he spoke up again.

"...What now?" he whispered, still wiping his face.

Valli could feel the tension slowly draining out of him. He felt exhausted, and that moment he wanted nothing more then to go down and lie down. Thankfully his next slot was empty, and the patient after that was a kindly old man who wouldn't object to having the session late or out of the office.

"I think we've covered a lot of material," Valli said, taking a moment to compose his thoughts. "I think we can wrap up here. I can show you where to go and who to speak to in order to get your housing situation sorted out - really, you just need to complete registration."

He could only assume he'd stopped midway through, the process left incomplete and missed entirely.

Ashton nodded. At this point, he just wanted to go sleep himself. When he had emotional outbursts like that he just felt so drained and most of the time in the past he would explode and then just...sleep for a day or two straight to get back in order.

He slowly looked back up at Valli before looking back to his lap. "I-I'm sorry...sometimes my temper gets hotter then hell....literally." he said, trying to make a joke but he doubted the other would laugh like he was a little.

Valli gave a weak smile at the joke, and only looked even halfway composed because of his own power. If he didn't have it, he probably would have been swearing bullets, his nerves all but shot, the cuts still stinging.

"You should go to the office," Valli said, standing up as he tried to go about his business. There was a routine, a way he normally finished sessions, but it was all running away from him at once. "Thank you for coming."

At least that much was routine.
