Veronica's head tilted at how large the girl's smile grew when she mentioned Aedan. Was it something she said? Why was she so happy all of the sudden? It almost seemed like she was being mischievous. She wanted to ask her what she was smiling about, but she decided against it. Maybe she didn't want to know what it was she was so happy about. And honestly, who was she getting into a stranger's business?

"Wow," Veronica commented at all the years the larger girl had been at the school. Veronica herself was in the 10th grade, making her one year behind the larger girl. But even then, when it came to experience, there was no comparison. Of course Amara knew so much more about this place than she did. It also made sense that she wasn't fazed b the fact that Veronica was so normal. She probably dealt with kids like herself all the time. "That's... a pretty long time to be in a school." Of course, Veronica wouldn't know since she'd been homeschooled all her life, practically.

The lightning caused her to jump a bit, not expecting the spark. The canine yelped as he retreated away from his supposed attacker, clearly not happy with being kicked out of his spot. Something told her he probably liked the pets she was giving him, too. "Oh, yeah," Veronica said, as if she could possibly forget her own powers. Oh, how she wished she could. Then she'd be normal, at the very least. "I have empathy powers, from what I understand. I can sense other people's emotions, feel their pain, and what not." In some places she looked up, they also said she would be able to control emotions, but she had no idea how that would work, nor was she interested in finding out.

"I suppose it makes sense with me. I'm a pretty emotional person." Veronica added. "So, what do you and Licky like to do with your spare time?"

No wonder the cute little girl could read her so well. Amara had met a fair share or empaths during her time on this campus. Most had grown to become prominent idols and actors. It also wasnt uncommon of an empath to become a investigator in the island police.

Amara glanced the girl over and wondered if she would fit well in any of those roles. No one was forcing Veronica to make her power a career. Heck if you looked at Amara;'s power she could be on a security or police detail herself. However she instead decided to pursue a career based on her other power which helped her greatly get ahead of the pack.

As she sat there contemplating a thought popped into her head. "Holy hell does she know i'm in deep thought...Does she know i'm thinking about her! What if something lewd pops into my head and she shares that feeling!!!." Amara gave Veronica an evil once over and leaned in quietly . "Don't....Don't read m emotion if you can...Lets just say they are very sad 85% of the time." It was a blatant lie if anything Amara was sad 75% of the time with the other 25% being divided and fluctuating in power.

Lichy was as content as ever on his little bench he was paying no mind to the girls discussion or the akward connection h ad caused. In all actuality h just wanted to see someone run from Amara again. It wasnt that he hated her,no that would be wrong. Instead he enjoyed the payback for Amara and his unholy past. A small grin appeared on Lichy face as he contorted more into himself clearly getting comfortable.

Amara watched the wolf inquisitively. Why was he smiling..what was he scheming. Amara was shocked by the random question but was more than happy to answer. "Well as you can see we take walks on good nights like this, and we play card games on Saturday night." Amara's head tilted " we aranrt the most exciting pair but we love each other don't we Lichy!!" The wolf gave no response besides a noiseless yawn. Amara puffed her cheeks in anger but slowly returned to normal.

Veronica let out a fit of giggles. "I can't read your mind, silly!" The sixteen year old didn't even know if that was possible. "I can barely even tell what emotions I'm sensing, usually. I could tell you were sad, but... I guess it was just because your emotion was strong enough for it. I barely know much about empathy in general, much less how to use it, so I'm not powerful at all." But some of those migraines she got from her father were massive. If anything was powerful, that was it.

Generally Veronica's senses came and go with the emotions that went by. Her senses had nothing to do with how well one was able to hide the emotions outwardly, but how strong, or weak, they were inwardly. That's all she knew about her abilities, though. They really weren't all that special, and had yet to even meet the potential Veronica had for it. Needless to say, her expectations were much, much lower than some people who knew her.

Veronica laughed at the two's little banter. Could her power sense connections between people? The girl thought about it, but decided that she probably couldn't and maybe now wasn't a good time to test theories with people she barely knew. "I don't know," Veronica chuckled at the two's rather funny bantering. "I think you two have a lovely friendship. You seem to bicker like how I do with my brother." Her little brother was quite the brat, but their bickering was proof of how close they were. They lived with each other so much they wanted to kill each other sometimes.

Veronica smiled at the canine's rather passive actions. "If my past experience with my little brother proves useful, I'd say he's just trying to make you made." Veronica could sense a bit of pride from the wolf whenever he made Amara angry.

Amara blew a breath of relief. As long as Veronica couldn't actually tell in any sense what was being thought Amara could think easily and freely. Though it did cross her mind that she couldn't feel depressed as that would reflect and making Veronica feel bad was very mean of her to do. It was concerning considering how Veronica was able to pick up emotions so easy her potential was probably great, greater than most even. Amara face dawned a worried expression as she had her of empaths going crazy due to unwanted contact with certain individuals.

"I don't know sometimes. If I randomly bit you and made you my personal bodyguard for eternity never to be free from me again." Amara thought about Lichy's conundrum and looked at the wolf. " It wasnt like I wanted to put him through that but I feel like deep down h loves me and is thankful." The do raised his ears and barked a little bit before hopping off his bench and nuzzling his head on Amara's leg. "Eh youre like a hormonal teenager with how on and off you are." She rubbed Lichy's head and gestured for Veronica to join in.

" So you and your little brother are the same way huh. I can only imagine how that is for you." Amara chuckled a bit. " Its like once he gets angry you probably get angry and then he gets angrier."she had flashbacks to her and Kimi's fights though they were alot more cutthroat. Kimi wasnt a little girl anymore and was able to use more "flavorful" words that some might find rude to say to a woman or a sister at that.

The thought of Kimi made Amara's heart sink a bit. Kimi was probably getting out of her after school class right now. Maybe she should stroll by and check on her sister. A warm feeling filled her heart. It was a mix of sadness and love. Why was her life so strange. Why did that woman have to leave so randomly? She shook the thought trying not to project onto Veronica and instead focused on Lichy who was panting in pleasure at the attention he was getting.
