First contact

As soon as he was standing on the ground he heard the voice say some words he couldn't care less about. there was still the human by standard here but it wasn't something he really cared enough to think about as the palm of creature that was behind him landed. Jones made the energy that would probably have splattered a normal cat transfer into the ground. At the same moment sending commands from him into the attacking creature to make it. "It's good that you, pitiful creature as you are, are no longer ignoring me."

Then with a blur of movement Jones appeared next to where he had been a moment ago and he a second blur later the Cat was jumping for the creatures chest claws and teeth bared. "I will make sure you do not lapse into such thinking again."

Apparently, the alien thing only knew enough about English to thoroughly confuse Fatima with its answer. But the girl wasn't sure the school's translation magic would help things in this case since it seemed the creature was trying to explain a completely foreign concept. She thought maybe it would make more sense if she could see more of the strange creature than what could be seen in the beam of her flashlight.

She wondered if it even knew where it was if it didn't know where it had come from. And what had stopped it from just eating everything. From the sounds of it, something had caused this creature to be more self-aware, perhaps it was the evolving it mentioned. "You don't know where you're from? Then do you know how you got here? To the forest? Or- how long have you been here? Where did you learn to talk? Did you just sort of - wake up and knew you were something? What do you eat?"

The horseman was surprised to find the alien had disappeared so quickly and thought she was somehow aiming her flashlight in the wrong direction. Then she heard its voice coming from a different direction and wondered how fast the thing could move. She hoped people wasn't one of the things it consumed because her reflexes were nowhere near that quick, and she did not want to test her regeneration by being swallowed by an alien.

Even with her flashlight, she couldn't quite tell what it was that was attacking the alien. The only thing she could make out was a small, dark blur. She suspected it was some sort of animal, and it didn't seem to be bothering the creature much. Maybe the alien would have a snack. She wasn't going to do anything with the small animal unless it started attacking her. So for now, Fatima just watched the two, hoping the animal would get bored or eaten so she could return to talking with the alien.

The foreign creature's body changed, its body became spiked. That was a bit unexpected but Jones was Cat. He was superior, he'd never let this upstart alien prove to anyone else that this was not true. So as Jones approached his paws moved so fast that if it was any unpowered being it would shatter bones and pull joints out of line. Though the spike pieced very shallowly into the pads of his front paws. But this was enough for the purpose of Jones, as he continued on his path he altered this alien's Kinetic energies and made him move along with him.

After a few moments of keeping his paws on the spikes of pain he stopped his personal momentum and simply floated in the air. Jones watched the alien flying into the trunk of a tree. Maybe multiple for Jones didn't care how far this creature flew, it just needed to know that Jones was superior. So at this time after only watching for a brief second he 'walked' down to the ground again. Then looked up to the woman standing there. He pushed his mind forward to contact this human. "Why are you here Human? these woods harbor dangerous predators. Such as myself."

The alien seemed to talk pretty well for something that was in the middle of being attacked. Although she was confused by the whole we and I thing. She thought it might not have heard all of her questions. But being distracted by its random attacker was also very understandable. Fatima felt sympathy for the poor being who just seemed to want to explore. "It's okay. Not everyone here attacks on sight either. You might have better luck finding people to talk to out of these woods. I was just following rumours of - well I think I was actually looking for you." The redhead laughed at that. This was definitely a strange creature in the woods. She couldn't tell if the unidentified black blur was odd or just some rabid animal.

The young horseman was finding it hard to continue a conversation with the creature, even if it seemed unaffected itself. And as she went to repeat her question about what the alien actually consumed, the strange animal blur cannonballed into it so hard it went flying. Fatima was bewildered and slightly worried as the mysterious animal floated for a moment before landing again and turning its attention onto her.

As much as she usually welcomed pain, she wasn't really in the mood for being beaten up by some random animal in the woods. Warily she turned her flashlight onto the cat just as he spoke into her mind. Taken aback, Fatima blurted out without thinking, "You're a cat?!" That had definitely not been what she was expecting. The telepathy wasn't much of a shock since there were a lot of unusual animals on the island, but the girl just hadn't expected a cat to be throwing around the alien so easily. At least she was pretty sure he wouldn't try to eat her. Then again, who knew what an obviously sentient cat would eat?

"umm... I was just exploring. Predators don't really bother me." She usually would've had difficulty calling a tiny little cat a predator with a straight face, but this cat had been beating up on the alien, so it didn't seem so far-fetched. "Why are you attacking this poor alien anyways? Are you hungry? umm... would you like some milk?"

When the human sounded surprised that he was a cat he just gave a slow 'well obviously' blink. As if he was trying to slow his body down so the human could comprehend. Though the human seemed to have a good sense not to say anything insulting to Jones he still yawned in a mocking way when she asked if he wanted milk. "I have no need for the lactations of other creatures. That is a myth perpetuated by you humans. I can Hunt for myself. But it is good to see that there are still you humans who understand that Cats are superior creatures."


The purple alien creature came back once more. Jones turned his head to allow one eye to look upon it. At first it did nothing and ignored Jones in turn the Cat ignored the alien and began to clean his paw. After a short time the alien turned and went down on all fours to begin circling the Cat. This made Jones yawn once more before he turned his attention back to the creature. "You have become a nucience. If you do not cease on your own I shall stop you myself. It would be more of a bother that way and you have only yourself to blame as you keep beating your head against the wall expecting different results."

Fatima was slightly bewildered by this whole situation. This alien was definitely unusual, but it was kind of hard to communicate with a creature who had barely any concept of, well, anything. It created some sort of purple orbs, which apparently could speak to her while its body was occupied with trying to eat the cat, but she wasn't sure what else to say to it. And she didn't worry about defending said cat because it seemed to be holding its own quite well. Actually the two opponents seemed fairly evenly matched. Fatima figured one or both of them would get bored and walk away before either got hurt.

The sentient cat was also something different. But aside from the power to beat up on the alien and the telepathy, this cat seemed to be a normal cat. At least it talked like how she imagined a normal cat would talk, which was to say - it had a huge ego and even if she felt the urge to start a conversation with it, it probably wouldn't want to speak to her.

The girl sighed a little. She had actually discovered a strange alien, but it was looking like it wouldn't be as entertaining as she had thought when she set out to follow those rumours. She couldn't even follow the fight well with her dinky little flashlight. She decided to stay a little longer, in case the others did feel like talking to her, but she couldn't think of anything else to say at the moment.
