"How long would it take?" he'd ask, "how does it work?" He wasn't going to jump into anything, he was gathering a lot of information on multiple options.

"And....what would it cost?" this girl seemed nice, definitely not unnerving like a lot of the people who made these offers.

It'd start to gently snow then, he didn't even feel it. "Would....would you even want to do it?"

"I don't know. It could..." She sighed, knowing it would be best just to tell the truth right away.
"It could take years. I've never done this before." She explained slowly. "Your soul... your soul is really, really badly damaged and what I take is time. Like, that's how you'd need to pay." She took a deep breath.
"The two most common things that demons take in contracts are souls and years off of someone's life. I figured out that if I make someone spend time with me it works a lot like years off of someone's life. It's... a different exchange rate, but... it works."

"I....I don't know if I'll survive years," he'd say eith a sigh, rubbing his temple. "The things they say.....they...they make their voices sound like my parents to mess with me," he sounded older than he should have, like he'd seen to much.

He'd look at her a moment. "So....I just spend time with you and overtime many years you might be able to fix it?" he'd ask with a sigh. "Guess....guess it does sound better than what others might charge me," but again, he wasn't sure if he had years.

Rowan would shake his head. "I don't know, I'd....I'd need to think about it," he'd sigh, closing his eyes a moment.

"Of course, of course! It's a big thing, but, uh... I don't know if it helps, but it's not like it would be just waiting? It'd heal you a little more every time you, uh, I guess made an instalment." She said. She didn't want to come across as desperate to sell, but... well, she was. She didn't want to just stand by and let somebody get taken advantage of.
"I think... I don't think it would take long to know if it's working or not." She offered hopefully.

He'd nod. "I'll think about it," he'd shove all his cards into his notebook which he then shoved into his bag. "I just.....I don't want to jump into anything," he'd say with a sigh, "not again."

Rowan would run his hands through his hair, taking a breath and looking at her moment. "Thank you, I know it's....it's a weird situation, but yeah, thank you."

He'd fidget a little, thinking. "Y'know, we don't have to make a lease just to hang out....," he'd shrug, "you seem nice, we could just do that sometime." Reaching into his pocket and pull out his phone, "either way, uh, here's my number," he'd give it to her, offering her a small smile

"Yeah, I understand that." She smiled. Then she froze. There... there were people who would actually spend time with her, just her, without needing to? She seemed stunned at that. She gave him a nervous smile.
"That, uh, sure? I-If you want?" She accepted his number, still looking totally taken off guard and confused.

He'd smile, feeling a tiny bit better even though the voices weren't really stopping. He'd stretch, brushing off any snow, before thanking her one more time and taking his leave.
