Appearance Description:
Seal: While in her seal form she has light grey skin with dark swirls covering her body. At the end of her body it seems as she has two feathery fins. Though her body is petite, her fins are out of porportion and are too big for her body. In seal form her eyes dark pigmentation seem to spread through her whole eyes and not another color is to be reconized. She has a scar on her left fin from when she was cought in a fishermens net as a little kid.
Human: Her eyes remain dark, almost seeming black as if there was something demonic to the girl. They seem to put of people since they don't match the rest of Fiona's innocent appearence. She has thin lips that take the form of a mona lisa smile, there but at the same time not there. Across her nose and cheeck bones she has faint freckles that look like someone splattered them across her face with a paintbrush. Fiona never cuts her long red hair as it is her pride and joy. Because she never cuts it you can see that the ends of her hair are broken and damaged. Like in her seal form she is very small, standing at 5''2. She appeares very skinny as if she barly eats, even though she eats more than most girls her age. Her skin is very light and burns easily in the sun.
Personality Description: Fiona gets lost in her thoughts very easily, wether its not paying attention to the conversation in front of her or daydreaming in class. She seems to be lost in her own world and acts accordingly. You can never tell her what to do or where to go since she makes up her mind very fast and once she does no one can convince her otherwise. To some people it may come over as if she had no respect for authoritie, and though it may seem true. She likes to think of it as paving her own path. She doesn't believe in tradition but more of making your life the life you want to live and if someone has a problem with it then they can leave.
Fiona is one of those people that you either love or you hate and there is hardly anything in between those two kinds. To most people she can come of a bit arrogant since she is picky with who she talks to and who she opens up too. It's not that she has something against people but she is more scared of being left alone. For someone who would let someone walk out of her life so easily she is very dependent on family and close friends.
Her mood is something that is unpredictable and unexplicable like the ocean. You can never tell what type of day she is having. Sometimes she will lash out at people for no reason or she will sit in a corner and cry for hours. Though no matter the mood you anybody would know that she is always happy when she gets to spend time in the ocean. Wether it is just sitting at the beach or going for a swim, the ocean will always reamain her happy spot.
Species Abilities:
Shapeshifting between Human and Seal: As a Selkie she has the abilite to transform into a seal, by putting on her seal skin. Of course whithout her skin she is not able to transform. If someone was to steal her skin she would belong to that person and be forced to marry them (according to the old traditions). If she stays to long out of water or her seal form (multiple weeks) she can become very depressed and it my even have a physical toll on her body.
Supernatural Beauty: In human form she is physicaly flawless at any given time at any given situation. Even though Fions's supernatural beauty is quite weak she still can't go unnoticed or fly under the radar. On the other hand she is able to affect other people that when a stranger meets her, they will willingly want to help her with anything within minuits.
Body Temperature Manipulation: She has control over her own or someone elses body tempurature. She can make it drop either extremly low or raise it dangeresouly high. In order for her to change someone elses body temperature she must also do it to herself. She doesn't know how to control this power completly and tends to accendently use it when she gets mad at someone or when feeling sad or depressed. During an anger attack she will higher her and possibly someone elses body temperature and when feeling sad or depressed she will lower it. This can be very harmful to her own and others body.
Enhanced senses: This ability is a blessing an a curse. Even in her human form she still has the senses of a Seal. Starting with her sight, she has incredible sight under water, but on land she has to wear special contact lenses and still her sight wouldn't match up to that of an average human. Though she may not be able to see very well therefor her hearing and smell senses are incredible. She is able to hear much lower frequncies than average humans und when it comes to higher frequencies she can hear around the same as a dog. This also means you can very much annoy her with a dog whistel. Her sense of smell is also enchanted and she is able to reconize people and places by their smell. If there are to many people in one place it can become an overload for her nose resulting in headaches and nose bleeds.
Powers: She has no other powers than her special abilities that come with being a Selkie.
Biography: She was born in a small town in scotland to her two selkie parents. Her dad left her family for a human girl when Fiona was only 2 years old not leaving her any memory of him. Her mother was killed by a fisherman when she was 5 years old. She was cought in the same net but was able to escape. Wanting to find the man that killed her mom she made her way to the shore for the first time. When she transformed into her human form she wasn't able to walk to she ended up lying in the sand. Two marine biologists found Fiona and adopted her. The wife was also a Selkie and reconized what Fiona was right away. Her adopted father was human but was completly aware of what his now daughter and wife were. Unlike in most cases he didn't steal Fiona's adoptive mothers skin, but instead the two of them met in collage since her mother wanted to live a human life.
She moved with her new parents to Monterey Bay in california and started her new life there. Two years after that her younger sister Melanie was born. At the begining Fiona was jelouse of Melanie and thought her parents didn't want her anymore now that they had a biological daugher. She ran away into the ocean, but she didn't even make it a few days before her mother was able to find her. That day they made a deal that every morning they would wake up an hour earlier and go swimming together.
When Fiona got accpeted into Starlight academy for highschool she didn't know if she should go or not. She became very attached to her little sister and her life in Monterey. In the end it was her mom who convinced her to go since she thought it would be best if Fiona had contact to other creatures outside of her family. At first it was hard for her to adjust to the move to the island and the academy, but soon she was able to build her life there too.
