Finishing Homework...

The academy seemed to be deserted, as the only sound Sohalia could hear was the echo of her own foot steps as she quietly made her way towards the Lounge. Ofcourse, the silence was expected, because most all the students were sleeping, or trying to anyways. This was exactly why, as Sohalia stood in the doorway to the Lounge, she was none too surprised to hear only her own breathing, and see not one other student... Not that she really looked to closely.

Still, she'd been wanting to find the Lounge empty. During the day, she wouldn't be caught dead here. Too many people, too much noise, too annoying for her to put up with. She lazily collapsed onto a comfortable chair in the corner, and sighed, exahusted. Pulling out an assignment from her backpack, she twirled a mechanical pencil between her fingers, pushed a strand of plack hair behind her ear and started scribbling nonsense just to complete the paper.

Finally, she was finished. It was horrible, probably a failing grade, but as long as it was done...She shoved the paper into her bag, and got up to leave, yawning, and headed towards the door. Halfway there, she heard a noise, maybe it was footsteps, or something outside the window? Either way, she looked around the room.

Paige had been dumped by cab (she'd of course refused the bus) outside of Starlight Academy in the middle of night. She didn't know whose brilliant idea it was to get there late, but she was going to wring their neck.

At least she was wearing her cute pink sweatpants with the white tank, and the matching pink leopard print flats and headband. Knowing she looked good made the situation considerably lighter.

She'd dragged one suitcase inside the building at a time and piled them by the door, choosing only to wander around with her backpack. She was tired and probably had huge unattractive bags under her eyes, but where the heck was she supposed to go? Everyone was obviously asleep.

Paige looked up suddenly to see a faint light at the end of a hallway. She headed toward it and opened the door to see a girl sitting alonge in a room. She quickly ran her hands through her hair to fluff it up and walked closer to the girl.

She seemed to be doing homework. "Ew, they make us do that here?" Paige asked the girl, wrinkling her nose.

Sohalia realized it was a girl, one whom she didn't know, but that wasn't much of a surprise considering she didn't know many. She shrugged and crossed her arms over her chest, she was too tired to bother saying anything to the girl; she wasn't worth it anyways. She made a move to leave, since noone else seemed to be there, but the girl spoke.

"Ew, they make us do that here?"

She rolled her eyes, "If you see me right here doing homework, then why do you even bother asking, because that's really one of the stupidest questions you can ask when the answer is pretty obvious. And what school have you been to that doesn't give homework?" The girl was wrinkling her nose now, What a retard... the thought, leaning her head back against the wall and raking her hands through her hair, before closing her eyes.

fissst THUD "Ow..." Yet again, Ren's nightmares had struck. Instead of getting up, however, Ren remained where he was, rolling over onto his back, and staring up at the ceiling. He raised a hand to rub his head of messy black hair, closing his eyes for a moment to reorient himself.

Since this teleporting thing had become a norm, he was dressed normally, with a large black t-shirt and a pair of plaid sweat pants covering him. He opened his eyes again, continuing to stare at the ceiling, trying to figure out where he'd seen it before. Recognition finally flashed in his violently gold eyes. "Well, at least I didn't go too far away.." he mumbled to himself, voice low and gravelly with sleep.

He was vaguely aware that there were people around, but had no wish to make himself more known. And his head hurt. That was a particularily long drop. He sighed, closing his eyes once more as another fissst pop sound was made, a pair of goggles dropping onto his chest. He was definately tired, and messed in the head this time.. He was usually silent. Regardless, he placed the goggles around his neck, remaining where he was, willing to listen into the conversation until he was awake enough to teleport back to his room silently. That is, if they didn't see or hear him first.

Sohalia opened her eyes, thinking she'd heard something. Paige still hadn't said anything, Probably takes her that long to put sentences together, she thought. Sohalia glanced around the room, expecting to see it empty besides her and Paige, but instead, she noticed a boy.

"What the, he wasn't here before," she asked, she would've noticed before this if he was. Sohalia sighed, everyone had to show up just when she was about to leave. The boy murmured a few words she didn't quite hear, though she believed she heard something about going far away... She didn't bother dwelling on it, he was probably still half asleep anyways.

"Hey you!" Sohalia called to Ren, "When did you get here?" She stood up and, walking over to stand by Ren, she questioned rudely, "And why do you have goggles ~ cause they look pretty ridiculous." She resisted the urge to yawn, and wondered if she was ever going to get to sleep at this rate. She wondered if this many people normally showed up about now....

"Hey you!"

Ren winced. Annoying voices in the middle of the night were not appreciated. He moved himself a bit, keeping his eyes closed, hoping to high heaven that she'd leave him alone. With no avail.

"When did you get here?"

Violent gold eyes opened, making slightly acidic contact with hers. If his mind was awake enough right now, he'd disapear, but at the moment, he wasn't sure he could even teleport a pen. Still he remained silent, simply looking at her cooly. He figured she had more to say.

Sure enough

"And why do you have goggles ~ cause they look pretty ridiculous."

Ren resisted the urge to growl at her, remaining in his position on the floor, eyes closed, simply violent gold staring her down, no emotion visible in them. "When I got here, I believe, is not really any of your business..." he paused, shifting his position so that he could see better, before continuing, "And my goggles, are also not any of you're bloody business. If you're going to be so bloody annoying, go where no one can hear you." all the while, his voice was low and tired, like he didn't really care one way or another.

"If you see me right here doing homework, then why do you even bother asking, because that's really one of the stupidest questions you can ask when the answer is pretty obvious."

Paige raised her eyebrows in an amused yet annoyed way. What was this girl's problem?

"Maybe, sweetie, you sit around and do geometry for fun. I honestly don't know."

She turned to the boy that seemed to have appeared in the room suddenly. He had messy hair, a pair of goggles (Paige wondered a little about those) and... the most eyes she'd ever seen.

She'd dumped her boyfriend of two years, what, a day ago? Good thing, because the more she looked at this guy, the hotter he got. She watched him fireback a comment at the girl who obviously had some attitude problems.

"Right on!" Paige said with a smile, throwing up her fist. "I'm Paige. You?" She directed the comment towards the boy, totally ignoring the girl.

Solek had walked passed the room on the way to dropping his stuff off and when he was done at the beach he came back and plopped down on the couch. He was thinking of his laptop and went to get up when it came out of a cloud of darkness. Neat, didnt know I could do that, I love umbrakinetics. He booted it up and let it warm up before he flipped the screen into tablet mode and opened up photoshop. He started drawing, noticing the others in the room. He looked up quickly then back down at his work.

"When I got here, I believe, is not really any of your business..."

Sohalia was expecting an honest answer, but didn't bother pursuing it, "I'm pretty sure I knew that, but I don't honestly care what's my business and what isn't. If everyone in the world minded their own business, cars would've never been invented." She was perfectly aware that her comeback didn't make sense but Sohalia was tired, and didn't bother even trying to think of something that made sense.

"And my goggles, are also not any of you're bloody business. If you're going to be so bloody annoying, go where no one can hear you."

"First, I think we've gotten past the fact that I don't care what's my business and what isn't. And besides that, I was somewhere noone can hear me, but you decided you wanted to teleport yourself here! Next time you don't want anyone to interrupt you nap, go somewhere you can't hear anyone else." she shrugged, not even thinking about what she was saying before she said it. Paige seemed to decided that she'd strung enough words together to speak/

"Maybe, sweetie, you sit around and do geometry for fun. I honestly don't know."

"In the middle of the night? Does it look like I would be awake right now if I didn't have to be? she asked. "And this is a school for gosh sakes, ofcourse they make you do homework!" She would've gone on, but Paige seemed to be totally excited at the sight of Ren. She took the time to quietly turn back towards the door, and hurry past page, out of the room and towards her dorm.

Ren bit back a groan as he pulled himself up into a sitting position, knees bent, and placed his head in his hands. Of all the days (or nights) To have a nightmare, this had to be the one. He forced himself to remain silent, knowing how many bloody's he'd use in one sentence at the moment if he opened his mouth. Not that staying here was his choice at the moment, but he'd been raised to be at least somewhat polite, and to make allies anywhere possible.

"I'm Paige. You?"

He let out a silent sigh, not lifting his head, as he answered in a muffled way, "Ren." he was a fellow of little words when he'd rather be sleeping. Still, he figured that anyone who was this pumped in the middle of the night wasn't going to go away, so he turned his head to observe the person who was going to be keeping him up. He offered a weak half smile as he raised a hand in a limp two fingered salute. "Cheers." he added tiredly, before running a hand through his hair, only succeeding in mussing it even more, and he forced down an annoyed sigh.

However, any of the thoughts or emotions running through Ren at the moment were completely lost behind his well made mask that rarely let any emotions through. It came in handy on days like this, or when he needed to lie, or keep a straight face.
