It only took a moment for Marian to know that it worked and Naisiskhrea had fallen into her trap. Perhaps to Naisiskhrea she was moving about, but to Marian she was standing on the same spot, eyes looking into empty space, and mumbling words some of which Marian couldn't hear
For onlookers, it probably just seemed as if they were speaking to one another. Marian just walked around like she did earlier, watching the slight movements of the other's body, cueing in that whatever she was dreaming of, it was pretty exciting. From the way her body seemed to twitch every so often, the way her face contorted -- Naisiskhrea wasn't crying in fear, and Marian could tell.
Marian heard Naisiskhrea mutter, almost breathlessly: Freeze! and not a few minutes after that command left the other Nightmare's lips, the backdrop seemed to darken. The Shade's eyebrow cocked with curiosity. 'Well, that's new,' she thought with a smile. Then again, this was a fellow Nightmare creature.
Naisiskhrea's presence of mind seemed to return to reality, and Marian greeted her with the same shit-eating grin. "A sample of my work," she said rather proudly, skipping to the side to steal a glance to whatever Naisiskhrea was avoiding.
She couldn't quite tell what it was other than odd-colored clouds looming from above. She didn't look scared, if anything she looked like she would marvel at the sight. "Giving me a front row seat to my work, are you? Careful not to damage anything; my brother would hear of this!" she said with a giggle not quite fitting the situation.
