Has anyone played this? My brother bought it at a garage sale a couple months ago with a guide book, and I'm almost done the game, and I love it!

If anyone has played it, and has beaten it, do you think you could help me? I just need some strategy tips.

Thank you very much!

Okay, well there's two things. I'm nearing the end of Disc 3. I'm taking a break to train.

I haven't started training Rinoa, Selphie or Irvine, but Zell is at level 62, Quistis 68, Squall 82.

I was trying to defeat Jumbo Cactuar. I'm having difficulties. In the guide book it says 60 000 HP max, which is incorrect, for I took over 100 000 damage in my last battle and still didnt' win.

I unfortunately did not get Alexander, so I don't have Revive.

Any tips on how to beat him? Leviathan takes 9999 damage, but is always defeated after 5 attacks.

Also, I want the lionheart for Squall. I understand this is incredibly difficult to get. I just need the pulse ammo. I had tried to run into Behemoth's for Energy Crystals, but it's taking forever and I am losing patience. Any advice?

Thanks so much.

Umm ok... Let's see... Have you got lots and lots of Meltdown magic? That helps. It makes your physical attacks ALOT stronger. At this point in time, I would be focusing more on magic, physical and limit break attacks (making use of all the junction abilities!)... GF attacks are kind of useless in the future. Umm put Meltdown as a status attack for whoever has Siren. I think she's the one that has the junction.

Hehe... They SAY it's hard to get the Ultimate Weapons, but it isn't really. Pulse Ammo comes from Energy Crystals so you'll need alot of them. You'll also want Ultima magic, yes? Mwahaha... In Esthar, I can't remember where, but after Lunatic Pandora attacks, there's this dark shaded Esthar soldier. If you talk to him, he'll go 'Eheheahaha' or laugh or something, and you'll get thrown into a battle with a monster. Enoyle I think? Anyways he give you all the crystals you'll need. After you beat him, move out of the screen and back into that screen again, talk to him and the cycle continues! YAY! MORE ENERGY CRYSTALS!

To get the other items, you can also play alot of Triple Triad. Not only is it really fun, you can refine the cards for rare items.

What else... Are you training at The Island Closest to Hell? I think the Ruby Dragons also have Energy Crystals, but I usually get them from they Enoyle monster thingy... Yeah...

Anything else? :ph43r:

You are a LIFESAVER. I will try that right away. I can't thank you enough!

You said ultima magic? Where is that?

Ultima magic is apparently the most powerful magic... In my opinion it kind of is, but only for Junctioning. If you junction 100 of them to Elemental Def and Full-Life as well, it ends up *absorbing* all the elemental attacks. Mwhaha..

If you have Bahumut (you should get him... he's so cool. XD), he has the Forbidden Magic ref (i think) and if you can refine Ultima magic from the Energy Crystals.

Thank you so much! I got the lion heart, and I am now going to stock up on Ultima. I don't know what I would have done without you! I am so glad I posted here.

Okay, I have one more question.

I was trying to get Bahamut (I am all over the place, haha) but Those Ruby Dragon's are hard.

Squall is at level 96 (Thanks to you letting me know about the Enyole or whatever it is)

I use Quistis's Degenerater (I Love that attack) but the second dragon always uses meteor right off the bat, and I get gameover. Is there a trick? How many of them do I have to beat? Also, do I get the chance to heal before the Bahamut?

I would definitely rate it 10+ out of 10. The graphics are awesome for Playstation 1, in my opinion. The storyline is excellent.
