With winter finally leaving, it was becoming more and more of a good idea to spend your time outside rather than anywhere else. Chitose may have been a resin figurine, but she still felt uncomfortable in cold and hot weather just like everyone else. In fact, also still saw, heard, smelled and could even taste things still... but she didn't need to sleep.
So, with that in mind, Chitose dressed herself up today in a form-fitting pair of pale rose-tinted workout pants with very fluffy, pastel looking clouds drawn at the cuffs and the waist of the pants. For her top, she wore a white form-fitting, somewhat elastic shirt with a light rose-tinted sun on the right breast. And of course, a pair of beige sandals. A very bright appearance for a very bright looking day on a girl who has way too much energy to sit around doing nothing. Today, Chitose didn't have any classes while many other students likely did, so there wouldn't be much time to go searching for people to meet. Rather than draw even more, something she's been doing a lot of lately due to not having many friends yet, she decided to put on these clothes to explore her body a bit more.
Today, she was going to run until she got tired. She hadn't managed to do that yet, so she needed to see if there was any way to get tired. It would help her sleep during the nights when she's having trouble with inspiration and really needs to rest her mind to know how hard she has to work herself to get tired, plus it's handy to know in general. Plus, since she didn't sweat, she wouldn't have to worry about what color of workout clothes she wore. There were some benefits to being a living figurine, at least.
So, Chitose ran for quite a long time! She spent a lot of time in the courtyard, learning more about its layout as she went along, but she also spent her jogging time learning some more about the layout of the school. She even tried testing out her balance with some basic parkour - something that's actually really easy to find obstacles for when you're six inches, since many more things become obstacles. She rammed into things a lot and fell as well, sure, but she didn't let that stop her. She kept running on the side of edges, jumping up stairs, tripping down stairs and the like in some effort to tire herself out.
Over a solid hour passed until Chitose found that her body was getting a bit stiff and unresponsive compared to how it usually was, although it didn't burn or hurt like her body did when it was tired from exercise as a human. So, the running girl decided to keep pushing herself, trying to think of what she could draw next in order to help her inspiration along. Chitose typically liked trying to draw about romantic stories with some drama mixed in, but there was always an opportunity to change things up. Luckilly, Chitose found that she could just force her drawing material or even an entire computer to shrink, and then when she allowed it to naturally return to a normal size it would retain a proper scale and coloring. It made animating no harder than it was when she wasn't six inches tall, so that was always great!
While running through the courtyard, Chitose's body was getting so stiff that she could no longer run. Slowing from the run to a walk in a small hedge maze within the courtyard, Chitose stopped and leaned against a leg of a bench, Is this what getting tired feels like now? It is a lot different than normal... but... resting is starting to sound like a very good idea, Chitose thought to herself. She felt way too weak to make it back to her room properly, so she reasoned to herself she could probably rest safely for half a hour or so. Wanting to rest on the little wooden bench and not on the ground, the anime figure started drawing herself a simple bundle of rope with one of her index fingers, weighted with a little metal weight at the end.
Now armed with the rope, she held it and threw it over the bench. With the weight the end of the rope slid between one of the small gaps of the planks of wood on the bench. Once a quick knot was tied at the other end of the rope to a leg of the bench, Chitose was able to easily climb the rope and onto the top of the bench. Chitose willed her creation to disappear so that it did not sap any of her mental energy while it existed, which caused the rope and weight to fade away. Then, finally, Chitose rewarded her little climb by sitting against the backrest of the bench.
Chitose barely had enough time to close her eyes before she fell asleep. While asleep, Chitose's body stiffened up considerably, making her a lot more like a true figurine, though her skin was still more soft than true plastic and her hair was only slightly more stiff than when she was awake. What was planned to be a thirty minute rest ended up being a lot longer, over two hours in fact! Chitose was so fast asleep that if someone were to nudge or pick her up she would likely continue sleeping for awhile longer.
