"That truly is new. As for me, I have been around for a couple months, still have to finish high school and having remedial classes.", at least one of Ebviony's doubts about Ília would be answered: She is not a teacher at all. All her words of wisdom and speech and lessons have come from long years of wandering, visiting places high and low... Everything came to her as she pursued.

While Carmin seemed to be taking the easy way around Cultural Classes and that seemed to upset Ebviony, the golden-haired girl however could imagine the reason Carmin was spared of so much was due to some more unnerving aspects of other beings. Soon but surely she was starting to feel a little uncomfortable, being the only perfectly human-looking of the bunch. "Excuse me a moment.", and following that, she would sprout wings out her back.

The golden light it casts, the warmth, was similar to that of sunlight, the burning golden feathers harmlessly brushing against her clothes and the grass by her feet. "I was feeling like a weird one here."

That's not fair? Heh. It felt weird having someone be jealous of him. It had been a long time since that had happened. Nowadays it was always the other way around. For a second, Carmin wanted to shout out that life wasn't fair, but the desire was faint and disappeared again. Instead he just ended up saying "I started here in high school so there were choices in what I took. Sorry it wasn't the same for you."

When Ília sprouted wings, it caught Carmin off guard. He would've been shocked had it not been for the calmed state he was in. Instead his eyes just opened wide as it happened. The wings were honestly pretty beautiful. He couldn't help but let out a quiet "Whoa." As he admired them. They were just... blurry? Carmin lost his good vision once again.

He rubbed his eyes, but he couldn't get it back. Finally, he commented on the situation. "Who's doing it?" The question came out of nowhere and may not have made sense given the lack of context. It wasn't angry, but it might have been had he been capable of it at the moment. Instead the question was rather emotionless.

"If you took cultural classes, maybe you would know that apologizing to a fae is a rude thing to do," they said with a huff.

Ebvion moved back from Ília summoning her wings. The brightness caused them to instinctively shut their eyes, then slowly open them back up. It was pretty, but Ebvion was still too riled up to focus on it. That, and confused. Confused by the question Carmin asked that came completely out of nowhere. Carmin had been acting weird. He kept squinting and rubbing his eyes. Ebviony chalked that up to the wind, but was it something else?

"Who's doing... what?"

So Carmin was affected by something as well? It didn't seem harmful, but better clear things up. Bringing her wrist up, she showed her aura warning bracelet. "I can't control it, wherever I go I spread serenity. But overall it is a good thing, so I don't use anything to suppress it.", that would leave Ebviony as a possible source of this oddness...

"For a little while now, I have been smelling the burning of torches, but we see no torches around or something similar, therefore it was of me to assume there's some sort of illusory interference of some sort.", perhaps Ebviony could explain her own aura warning bracelet now? Either way, Ília was far from upset, if anything only bewildered.

Apologizing to a fae was considered rude? What kind of backwards logic was that? Either way, Carmin had greater concerns than that. Namely, what was messing with his mind.

Ebviony's response to his question seemed to hint that it wasn't her, at least in Carmin's eyes. Though, in truth it was probably the randomness of the question and the lack of context that resulted in her reply.

Then there was Ília. She spread serenity? An aura that caused those nearby to become calm? That didn't really explain his vision problems and disorientation, but it did solve part of the mystery. That was the reason for his weird behavior. And it made sense, he seemed to lose his ability to get upset when she had shown up. He wasn't sure how he felt about that, but decided he'd leave it for now.

Then there was the fact that Ebviony mustn't have been affected by that serenity aura. They hadn't calmed down at all from this girl's presence. For now, he chalked that up to some sort of species thing. He clearly knew nothing about her species, so it was a likely candidate.

The other weird aura seemed to have been affecting Ília as well, so thankfully he wasn't just getting sick or something. Though the culprit behind that aura was still at large.

"I can hardly see at all." He looked in the general direction of Ebviony and asked again. "Are you doing this?" Carmin was sure that if he took a step forward or back, he'd fall. He relied heavily on his eyesight, and would be even less coordinated than usual without it.

"Doesn't sound good to me," replied Ebvion to Ília's serenity aura. Ebviony hated it when they were told to calm down. Being forced to calm down was much worse in comparison.

But everyone else seemed more focused on something else. It wasn't hard for Ebviony to figure out what the issue was. It was something they had to deal with constantly.

Holding up their left hand, they showed off an aura bracelet. One that signified that their aura had hallucinogenic effects. "Oh... It's me, I think. People get dizzy and see and hear things they don't usually see." They avoided saying "things that aren't there" because sometimes people could see the things Ebviony saw. "I don't have a nullification bracelet to turn it off. I don't want my other stuff turned off. Most of the time people ignore it."

"I can see your point. Some people gets upset in a different way over the sudden reason all their anger is washed off the moment I come closer.", that could not be denied, Ília saw that the fae was right in how it could be uncomfortable to suddenly feel calm just because of a phoenix girl's presence. When Ebviony showed her bracelet and explained her own aura, it all became clear to her.

That explained a lot, and soon she found herself being able to deny the illusion that had been creeping on her, but for how long? And how long until another would eventually crept up on her due to some other thoughts? "True, it makes me afraid if I had to use a nullification bracelet myself, as there is no knowing the consequences..."

It seemed that Ebviony disliked Ília's aura. It caused Carmin to wonder if he was actually okay with it or if he'd share an opinion with them had the aura not been affecting him. This was all an important lesson in aura bracelets. Carmin would have to research that sometime too.

When Ebviony explained that she was also causing weirdness, that put an end to the mystery. Though he couldn't help but wonder how students sitting in class would just put up with it. It was terrible. Though it seemed he was getting hit much harder than Ília. Perhaps he was just weak to auras or something, after all, he seemed to be weak to basically everything now. Though if it wasn't real, then maybe he could just blink it away. He tried shutting his eyes for a good few seconds then opened them up and looked around. Nope, still blurry.

He wasn't capable of getting mad about it, but he sort of understood anyway. About a month ago, when they were still trying to undo the curse, they'd tried a nullification bracelet on him and it had nearly killed him. "That's okay, I know those bracelets kind of suck, I can just put up with it."

What was he even saying? He would've normally reacted totally differently, this wasn't okay.

Ebviony shuffled uncomfortably after revealing they were the one causing the hallucinations. "It's safe for most people. The bracelets turn off auras and abilities you can turn on and off. I had to wear one before. I don't anymore, and I don't want to again."

They didn't find the bracelet harmful. Not at all. It was useful sometimes. It made people stop avoiding them. The issue was that it reminded them of their time on the islets. It made them feel captured and hopeless again.

The discomfort increased in Ebviony as they thought more of their time on the islets. For a moment, they thought the serenity aura may have been nice, then remembered they hated being told what to do and how to feel.

"My aura helps with my powers too. Without it, a lot of people would think I lie."

Seems everyone was in agreement: the nullification bracelet would be more trouble than worth. She already had a guess that such artifact wouldn't shake away her fear, Ília would be bound to be reborn anyways... The fate of a phoenix, after all. "I will take a guess: your powers pertains to thoughts, or perhaps imagination, correct?", the winged girl stretched her wings a little, while speaking.

"My serenity aura has proven itself to help those in fear too, which helps when I am to provide them with healing."
, of course she was not going to tell them she's powerless against death, while she herself cannot die. Ebviony would probably not be impressed, but Ília believed Carmin would be quite shocked.
