Deep in the forest, but not deep enough to tread into Forbidden Forest territory, the Ryley sisters had set up a small camp in a small clearing. A fresh campfire was just lit up as the night took the skies. It was their third day of camp, and by tomorrow they'd be heading home. They've brought all their supplies for the whole trip, not wanting to go hunting as the presence of shapeshifters meant risks of accidentally shooting or trapping one. This was, after all, a trip to wind down and have a little retreat to nature. The girls had brought out their sleeping bags from the tent so they could watch the stars while talking idly, wondering what the people they left behind were up to, and if they were alright, talking about the things they've missed. Suddenly, Rosetta went silent, sitting up from her sleeping bag. "Ali, something's wrong..." The older sister immediately grabbed the combat knife that had been sitting on top of the cooler that once held some meat that was now cooked and consumed. She knew when Rosetta felt something was wrong, there was something that was going to happen. But whether that'd be wolves or a tree falling near them, she didn't know, so Aliasse went on full alert. "Grab our guns." As Rosetta quickly scrambled to the tent, Aliasse scanned the area for a presence that wasn't supposed to be there.

If she weren't stalking two strangers in the forest, Trinity would be complaining under her breath. They were just pushing her further and seeing how much she could handle. She tried her best not to overthink it, but her thoughts kept returning to the task at hand. She was tasked to kill two people in cold blood.

There was no logic to this. Trinity thought that the Valkyries wanted to punish her, or just push her further towards the edge.

After about an hour of searching, she finally found them. Two women, out in the open. They often tangled up the Valkyries' work in the past and were considered a nuisance. Odd how the Valkyries knew they would be out in the wilds and where. She watched for a moment from the trees to determine just how badly this would go. For a while, they seemed normal enough; just two people out camping in the woods.

There. Guns. A tactical knife. Weapons. Danger. Just the sight of the weaponry was enough to get her heart racing. She could feel her rational thoughts fading rapidly.

Here we go. Her last exasperated thought before her senses were completely overwhelmed with the need for bloodshed.

She summoned her spear and shield in one smooth motion and rushed at the targets from the trees with incredible speed; an inhuman battle shriek escaping her lips, the spear aimed at the older one's heart.

When Aliasse heard the rustling of the leaves, her grip on the knife tightened. She quickly found the presence and mentally locked onto it even before the battle cry reached her ears. She stood her ground, slowing down her perception of time to analyze her attacker. She saw the spear and shield, and made a decision on how to approach. And that was to approach -- get in close so the attacker couldn't use the spear to its full potential. She could take a bash from the shield and that should be enough time for her sister to shoot. She waited for a few heartbeats before she moved to the side, an arm lifting above the pole which allowed her to wrap that arm under and around it to try and lock the spear to her side, with the bend of her wrist further down the shaft to try and wrestle control of the weapon. Her other arm was to her side, ready to thrust at the attacker's side, should she get closer. For Rosetta, it happened all so suddenly. In a blink, their attacker was on her sister, the angle making it look like she had struck. With her and her sister's gun in hand, she raised both and aimed at the attacker's legs.

The two campers had the advantage of numbers and weaponry. They also seemed to be tactically inclined, working as a team and using their tools to their advantage. Trinity did not share the same toolsets.

At some level, brute force is enough to crack careful planning. Light people unburdened by armor can be thrown. Weapons and fortifications can be broken. Traps can be blown to bits with enough force. Bodies can be broken without blades.

She runs forth, allowing the older one to lock her spear. With another roar, she attempts to lift the girl off the ground and slam her into her sister. With any luck, she would interrupt the shooter, and if she wasn't, the older one would hit the dirt. Two targets, two threats, one swing.

Just as she feared, their attacker was exceptionally strong. She seemed to want to throw her over to Rosetta, probably thinking that she wouldn't shoot her own sister. But the two shots ringing just a split second later would prove that wrong. Aliasse disappeared, teleporting to the side just out of the spear's reach, keeping a 90 degree angle with Rosetta and the attacker. They'd have to spread out. Aliasse couldn't hold the enemy down, not with that strength. She'd have to know more. Rosetta shot two more shots from each gun, counting each bullet subconsciously. She'd have to get the extra magazines in the tent before she needed to reload. Aliasse picked up a rock and ground the side of her knife to make a sound. "Is that all you can do? Come on!"

Ruthless too... they were making full use of their numbers. Trinity definitely couldn't hit them if they were spread out. No time to think too deeply about tactics though; she would have to take them on one by one.

The one with a gun would just get in her way too often. Not even gracing her intial target with a response, Trinity started towards the younger one at a walk, then advancing forward at blinding speed. With another battle cry, she leapt into the air, ethereal wings emerging from her back, and slammed her spear down towards the younger one. The impact would be enough to leave cracks in the soil.

"Valhalla!"

The sisters had fought creatures like vampires and werewolves before, and did so without their powers. This confrontation wasn't something too new. Rosetta didn't panic when the enemy suddenly moved at great speeds, having known to rely on her instincts well before she was past her teens. "Rose!" Aliasse called out, throwing the knife at the Valkyrie. Rosetta rolled to the side, tossing one of the pistols at her sister, then with a wave of her hand, the knife redirected to her, blade-first to try and bury it into to the Valkyrie's back. And should that fail, it'd flip around and Rosetta could grab it safely. At the same time, Aliasse grabbed the gun and fired a shot.

Almost out of instinct, Trinity could feel the shift of energies and blocked the bullet with her shield. Unfortunately, she didn't catch the knife in time, only dodging enough for it to cut along her ribs. She let out a gasp, but landed on her feet, ready to attack again. A small splash of blood arced through the air.

She could feel the bloodlust fading and the cold air of the night biting at her skin again. There was little time left, unless she could set off another bout of rage. Trinity set off into the air, wings spread, and threw her spear at the shooter in retaliation, preparing to block in retaliation if the younger one attacked.

The Valkyrie was no slacker, the two of them could agree on that. She'd definitely got some proper training. Despite the muscle approach, she had good footwork. Aliasse would take it to mean that this was no accident or happenstance, the girl was here to assassinate them. Though it did well for morale when the would-be assassin had her blood drawn, but her reaction time was something that was going to be a problem. Neither of the sisters could stray too far from her or it'd only give her time to dodge the bullets, and Rosetta couldn't bend their path like she could with the knife. A quick glance at each other, and they both knew the plan: stay just far enough away from the spear's reach. When the Valkrie threw the spear, Aliasse decided to put her life on the line for a better shot. What good are her new abilities if she couldn't use them to gain an advantage? She moved a step to the right, but it would look as if she was too slow and the spear buried itself through her shoulder, but she didn't wince, and there was no blood. All the while, she raised her gun and fired the rest of her bullets at the Valkrie as Rosetta did the same after catching the knife, some of the blood splattering her clothing. She waved her hand as if throwing a hook, and two small pouches with a pair of magazines each flew to Aliasse and herself. They weren't out yet.

No blood...?

Trinity's strength was already fading fast, and there was no blood to feed it. Worse than that, she found herself looking down the barrel of a gun, with only half a second to react.

She flew skyward as the gunshots rang out. She managed to dodge most of them, but two managed to graze against her leg. Blood arced from the points of impact as she let out a shriek more avian than human.

Trinity collapsed to the ground with a thump, wings fading in a burst of ethereal feathers. The spear and shield were starting to flicker into nothingness. The bullets hadn't shattered bone, thankfully, but they cut deep enough into her calf that her leg would be out of commission for a couple of days.

"This is... stupid..." she muttered under her breath.

Ignoring the flare of her bloodlust rising once again, she started crawling away from the two girls, back towards the treeline, as fast as she could. Obviously, she would not move as fast as she could if she had the use of both legs, but hopefully the two former targets would get the point before she lost her mind again.
