Vinanye liked this place. The clothing store was small and colorful, all things the little gem enjoyed immensely. She reached into her pocket and clutched the gem she had found earlier. A dirty emerald and she'd kept it because she had no one to give it to yet.

She looked at the price on the shirt she was looking at (a pink one, with frills and the cartoon picture of a smiling cupcake), but Vin didn't understand the currency here. She had barely any money at all, and none of it was in this currency. Vinanye only had a home because somehow her mother managed to get one for her.

Vin sighed and looked around, trying to keep her smile bright. Barely anyone was in the store. At the only register was a black haired teen girl looking disinterested. Vin flagged the employee down.

The teen huffed and rolled her eyes before coming over. She wasn't supposed to leave the register, they should have had someone on the floor, but there wasn't, so this responsibility fell on her shoulders. Go figure.

"What?"

"Oh! Salutations! I was curious to the system of your currency in this strange land. These are signs I am not familiar with." Vinanye's speech was stilted as she struggled to sound like a native. This language was much more complicated than Fae.

The raven haired teen stared in astonishment. "Are you serious right now? You must be joking."

"I can assure you I am doing none of the joking!" Vinanye was speaking loud, not out of offense, she just struggled with volume control.

The teen laughed breathlessly and clutched her chest as she looked around, "I'm on some prank show, aren't I? Where are the camera?" She looked to a tall man in the store, one of the only two people in the store at the time, "are you a camera guy? Where's the hidden cam? Come on."
