If Jude had been anyone else, the sheer amount of class he'd missed would probably have resulted in him doing a second senior year. He'd been out for several days after the incident at Woodland Imports. He'd been out for a week after the portal from Halcyon had opened. And now he was out for the better part of a week while Armourer installed his arm. Originally the plan had been for him to attend class as normal. That plan had gone out the window when Jude had come to realize how insanely painful the process was.

So rather than a full week of install, they'd decided to go almost nonstop, do four days of install, and then three days of adjustment.

It hurt every second.

Jude was in the midst of a lull, his entire left arm hidden and pinned against his body with a cast as he stopped by the office, signing some paperwork and making sure everything was handled. He'd missed two days of class already, and a student council meeting, and the school's reassurances that they'd let people know weren't exactly comforting, were they?

Elisa knew Ju-Angelo had been absent for a while, but she wasn't worried. The Guy could probably ace his exams after a read through of the textbook. It wasn't good for the Vice President to miss meetings though. What was the protocol there?

Ignoring it, knowing the guy wouldn't rest until he was caught up (Or at all, really). She needed to talk to the front office about some things about the school budgeting when she ran into Angelo.

The first thing she had noticed was that while his left arm was bandaged, it looked a lot longer than it did before, so she guessed he finally got the prosthetic. "Uh, hey, Angelo."

Jude's arm was installed, but it wasn't complete. In other words: It didn't actually work just yet. They'd settled on a sling as a way to handle it, but Jude wasn't exactly planning to show it off.

He wasn't surprised to spot someone he knew in his brief visit to the school, but he was surprised to see it was Elisa. He shifted his weight, unused to the feeling of having two arms, and gave a quick nod of the head.

"Hey Elisa. Sorry for missing council meeting like that - I meant to stop by, but we changed the schedule."

"Its fine, Angelo," Elisa said, waving away his apology. "You didn't miss anything too important."

Nodding at his new arm, she smiled. "I see you got the helping hand you needed." Maybe the joke was uncalled for, but Elisa found it funny.

More than anything, Jude was worried about what was happening to the rest of the Halcyonites, and after a brief snort at her (very bad) pun, he moved the conversation that way.

"Nothing new on the Xavier situation?" He asked. "I haven't seen him since... since before he drowned." Which was a while ago. He knew he was back and alive and running around and all that, but... well, Jude wasn't sure where they'd gone from there. "No more attacked or anything?"

"Uhh," She said, thinking. "No one else was attacked. people are thinking its just a one-off incident, but the DSU are taking precautions. no idea beyond that."

"Xavier.." Elisa had no clue. She met him in the community centre, but he definitely wasn't the same. he looked human, and she knew he was using a charm, but any sign of that guy before the drowning was gone. what remained was just a numb emotion. "I think Xavier himself is alright."

The way Elisa tapered off was... Curious. It was an odd choice of words, and Jude paused for a long moment, shifting in place as he tried to balance his weight out.

"Have you seen him, or just going off the rumors?"

Elisa sighed. "I've seen him, but while he seems alright, I don't think he's in a good mental state."

"I mean, it's not my place, but he needs to talk to someone about everything that happened." She knew Xavier didn't seem to fond of her, and while she wanted to talk to him, Elisa respected his wishes. "It's like he's not the same person anymore, and not just physically."

It wasn't surprising for Jude to hear that Xavier had mentally been through the wringer. That was what happened when you effectively ruined your entire life, wasn't it? But it wasn't concern Elisa would be feeling, just annoyance and frustration.

And Jude knew she'd be feeling it, which only spiraled into embarassment. It was like wearing his heart on his sleeve, only she was the only one who could see it.

"I should probably get going," Jude said quickly. "But it was nice seeing you. I should be back in class on Tuesday, though."
