Riley shrugged when she was asked about her home. She didn't have a strong opinion about it, and she wouldn't dare admit that there were a lot of things on Manta Carlos that made her like it more than England.

The fact that Asger could usually tell the difference between demigods and gods made Riley feel just a little bit insecure. Was she only a demigod? The idea would stress her out once she had more time to think about it.

It could be the bracelet, though.

"... Apology accepted." She told him. "It could also be because I'm still young, maybe? I only remember bits and pieces of my past lives, though, and I don't get the memories at all when I'm wearing this. But I think I was way stronger in my past lives than I am now."

Compared to someone badass like Malara, who used to break planets apart, Riley felt kind of lame. She hoped her power would come with time.

“Memories of your past lives? Hm…...I wouldn't be surprised if I had met you before in one of your previous lives.” Asger chuckled. It was possible maybe though the coincidences of that were a bit slim being he is from another realm though that didn't stop him from getting here either.

Thinking on it a bit more, Asger could recall a few people he had met that was reincarnated. It was a bit interesting if he had to say so. “Maybe if you give it time or train you could get all your memories if you wanted to. Though right now I assume they are very confusing to you…”

Asger finished his sandwich after a few more bites and placed the trash into the bag. Standing up so he could make sure his legs won’t fall asleep, Asger collected any other trash around and also placed it in the bag. “Since I’m still on break…..Riley do you like swords? Or would like to see something cool?”

She wouldn't be able to learn any more about her past memories with this dumb bracelet on. Yet another reason that she should 'prove she can behave' like people have kept telling her to do.

Damn it.

In any case, Riley was starting to feel a lot better now that she thought she would get to see her parents again. She was starting to realize that she had some questions about that: who should she ask? Where would she meet her parents? Who else would be there?

But did she want to see something cool involving swords? "Yeah. Swords are cool."

Asger made sure to take a few steps back away from Riley.

Closing his eyes he began to mumble a quick prayer to himself. “...Saether I summon thee!”

And with a sudden flash of light, A bright shiny sword appeared in his hands! “This is my sword, Saether.” He smiled as he tried to some funny looking poses to get Riley to laugh. After around his fourth pose Asger planted his sword into the ground. “Would you like to hold the sword for a few seconds? I do believe my break will be over soon….and back to paperwork I go.”

Asger pulled the sword out of the ground and offered the blade’s handle for Riley to hold. “You have my permission to hold it so it shouldn't be that heavy.”

Riley was all oohs and aaahs and giggles. She'd never seen a sword that big before, and he lifted it like it was nothing! It was almost as big as her!

She nodded vigorously to indicate she wanted to hold it. The blade jerked up as she grabbed the handle and tried to compensate for weight that wasn't there. Or, if it was, she couldn't feel it. She was holding a magic sword, just like in a fantasy film or a video game but even cooler! "Wicked!"

She swung it around a little bit, getting a feel for it, imagining how she would be able to vanquish her enemies with it. Like the 'scouts' who wouldn't let ger go home and who put her parents in jail. Even though she had stopped crying, there were still streaks on her cheeks. If the chance to see her parents again wasn't already enough to make her feel better, this imagined revenge was really hitting the spot.

Asger found it a bit amusing to watch Riley swing the sword around. It was nice to see she was excited and happy now. “It is uh…..Wicked indeed. Just be careful...it may feel like nothing but it is a very powerful sword. I used it to vanquish many different people and things.”

He would imagine he could probably teach Riley how to use a sword but that wss for another time since he couldn't just do that behind some building during work hours. “The sword can do other things but…” Asger checked the time on his watch and sighed. “Maybe I can show you at a later time if you’d like? I can’t go skipping out on work after all.”
In a few moments Saether would slowly fade away in Riley’s hands and will just be completely gone.

“Hmm. Do you need a pass?” Well he was sure Riley was probably skipping a class or was going to be late for one. It didn't matter, Asger didn't want her to get in too much trouble so he figured a pass could help her avoid it.

Riley panicked and looked around, worried that she had somehow broken the sword or lost it or dropped it without realizing it. Only after looking at Asger for a moment did she realize that he wasn't worried. He probably made his magic sword disappear using magic.

She would love to learn about magic swords. That sounded like a real god-of-destruction sort of thing to learn about. "When can you show me? And why do I need a pass?" She was skipping out on class, but she just accepted getting in trouble for that was normal.

“I can show you whenever you’d like I suppose? Maybe after school or...hmm…” Asger took a moment to think if he had anything to do. He was sure his schedule was clear unless he was assigned to go out and scout again though he still had his farm. “Maybe tomorrow or this weekend?”

Well Asger took out a sticky note pad and started to write on it with a pen. “A pass so you won't get in trouble for skipping or being late to class.” He peeled off the note from the rest of the pad and handed it to Riley.

“Give this to your teacher. If they don't accept you can just get me and I'll tell them I was with you.”

"T-tomorrow I guess."

Riley took the pass and stared at it for a second. She didn't know such a thing was possible. It was an incredible gift, along with the knowledge that she could see her parents again. It would make her happy enough to cry, later, once she had thought about it enough.

She gave Asger the tightest hug she could manage. "Thank you."

Asger hugged Riley back and gave her one of his infamous pats on the back. “I advise to avoid skipping classes as much as possible. I won't always be here to write you a pass.” Asger smiled as he stood up.

“Though if you need to go cry somewhere I suppose you can find me.” He bent over to dust off the dirt from his pants, once done he held out his hand to Riley. “Do you want me to take you to your class or would that be too embarrassing?”

It was a simple offer. He still had some time before he had to get back to work so Asger figured he could escort her back to class at least.
