Father and Son

Caius had chosen the location for their home very carefully when he'd moved here, close to the woods, lots of trails for him and the triplets to run through, a perfect place for shifters to grow. They'd hike, camp and at times hunt, though he never made his children take part in the later if they didn't want to, as wolves they'd always had some connection to nature and the forest.

Today he was on a run with Lucas, the trees moving past them as they moved through the trails, his nose twitching as he picked up the scents of the forest. He'd stop, his head tilting as his ears picked up the sounds of animals in the distant, his senses were synced to the forest, it was basically a second home to him.

"Summers here," pulling the small bag from his back, he pulled out some bottles of water for them to share. "How's school going?" he asked, taking a sip of his water, he'd been wanting to talk to Lucas again, he'd been considering transferring out of scout field work to focus on his family.
