It was after school, kind of getting close to dinner time but not quite there. Rem managed to stay strong throughout the day, but a couple run ins had left him feeling rather homesick once again. So, once school was finished, he decided to do something to cheer himself up. He'd stopped at his dorm room for just a minute, grabbing a homemade birdhouse and a few tools from his desk before heading out once again.
He made his way to the lake, flying so that he wouldn't need to interact with anyone. He went a short ways into the trees along the outside, and after looking around a short while, he found a good spot. With that, he would put the birdhouse up, taking his time and making sure everything was level. Before long, it was done and so he just kind of stayed in the tree.
As usual, putting up one bird home didn't fix his problems in the slightest. He was still trapped on the island and it still felt like the world was against him. He'd let out a sigh, getting out a small piece of paper and a book to write against. Then, he wrote. His wings wrapped around himself a little as he did. He wished Sera was actually there but writing to him was the closest thing he had. Even if the letters wouldn't actually be sent to the man.
Nobody was around when he had gotten to the lake, but with his wings wrapped around himself and his body part way up a tree, he wasn't doing a great job of watching for others.
