At noon, the reaper was humming to herself as she walked down the snow-covered sidewalks of the city. The song she was humming was something from long ago, when she was in her 'vengeful' phase of her reaping days. Thinking about it, it was strange to her that humans would be singing songs about a reaper that brought lives to such an awful end.
Though, those were possibly because she would often let herself be seen before the 'accidents' happened. In those days, she was just full of hate, and the reaper handling her was happy with it since she did her job as asked and was generally only brutal to those who 'deserved' it. This must have translated well to the humans of long ago as the full song became a cautionary tale for children not to do anything bad when they grow up. She forgot where it was from, and forgot most of the song, however she could still hum the tune, which to her was just surprising.
For someone who was once called a vengeful reaper, it'd be hard to imagine her happily walking down the street, dressed as warmly as the people around her, in thick jeans and a white coat that looked to be a size or three bigger. Her white winter gloves were adorned with a beautifully-designed skull with roses growing around it. She was so happy when she found these being sold in one of those stalls in the mall.
There were plenty of people out, but she was looking for a specific soul that had intrigued her during that mixer at the city hall. With her sight as a reaper, she was scanning the city trying to find him. They had declared themselves best friends, but had forgotten to exchange any information about each other so they could find each other easily. A silly mistake, but one that was easily righted when her eyes spotted the soul she was looking for. It was still far away and she wasn't in any real rush, but she made her way towards him at her own pace.
After all, she wanted the meeting to be along the lines of bumping into each other.
