Cradling her glass of wine, Zora took tiny sips every now and again as she curled up in her armchair and listened to Felen.

"I'd have probably, no..." Zora corrected herself here. "I definitely would have made the very same choice," she told Felen as she gazed at him, her gaze full of compassion and true understanding. Zora understood way too well the desire to keep on living and doing anything in exchange to keep on going.

Looking thoughtfully at his hand for a moment, Zora shifted in her seat. "Do ever you regret your decision?" she asked him curiously.

Felen reclined slightly in his seat and crossed his regular hand over the demon one before him. "I would be lying if I said I did not wonder sometimes if it would have been better to have just let death take me rather than become a bastardized vessel for something sinister." He closed his eyes as he recalled the sense of overwheming evil and broken memories from his time recovering from the battle in which he obtained the emonic enhancements. It wasn't a pleasant sensation remembering it but it kept him grounded. A mistake had been made but with support from the others he'd been able to move on to do better things.

Like helping to keep Ms. Del Bosque from spiralling out of control after Broen. "But I have helped people greatly, perhaps in ways that another might not have been able to. So no, I think it might be selfish to regret that decision I made. It would be like saying nothing I have done since then has been important or meaningful. And, if you dont mind me saying so, I would think both of us might agree that it is a good thing I am here today because of all I did."

"You might be a bastardized vessel, but you are definitely not sinister or evil," Zoraida said as she tilted her head a little to one side and contemplated Felen.

"I can sense that you're not, and even if I couldn't, your actions have spoken louder than any words."

"And yes, I totally agree. If it wasn't for you and your gentle but firm guidance, I have no idea where I'd be right now. Probably holed up somewhere still wallowing in my grief afraid to live," she admitted unabashedly.

"You have helped me in ways that I can't even imagine, Felen. I don't even know how I can repay you for what you have done," Zora told him, her voice now soft with emotion.

Felen nodded once in satisfaction at her array of compliments. "Thank you for saying all these things about me. But I believe you are stronger than you might realize. You just needed a slight nudge to get yourself moving again. That's all." His reply was overly humble. They both knew what he had done for her, but it wasn't in his nature to take all the credit for pulling her out of her emotional pit of despair.

Besides, he was technically being paid. "Ms. Del Bosque, I should remind you that you are already paying me for my services. Though I suppose I have gone a bit beyond my contractual obligations." He added with an impassively straight face that then softened after a moment and revealed a small wry smile beneath it. Felen stood up from the table and circled around to her side, sliding her own glass of wine away from her a bit. "Speaking of which, I won't keep you from your refreshments for long but before that would you like me to keep clear your morning schedule for tomorrow?"

Zoraida kept quiet and just lowered her gaze for a moment. She sometimes doubted she was as strong as Felen gave her credit for. She had endured too much in too short of time for her to be reasonably comfortable with the assertion.

"I would be extremely grateful if you could," Zoraida replied gratefully when Felen offered to clear her schedule, letting him slide her glass of wine away from her.

"In fact, clear the full week," she told Felen, holding his calm gaze, after a moment of consideration. "I think it's probably high time to work on the important things like my family," she acknowledged.

Felen was a little concerned that she was clearing the entire week, but people were allowed a vacation right? And of course she was the boss. He nodded and then pulled out his phone to make a notation. First thing in the morning he would get on that- a few phonecalls would be needed and he was fairly certain it was too late in the evening for all that. In the process he left her glass and stepped back away respectfully.

"Very well, I will make the arrangements Ms. Del Bosque. Apologies again for taking your glass for a moment but I wanted to confirm the plans before... it got too late." Before she drank enough to be less sober, he meant. But he refused to say it that way. "Actually I should summon Polgid before I forget, as well." The demon familiar tended to make a good door guardian, and certainly served as a pretty decent 'do not disturb' sign as well as a side effect.

Felen stepped back again to begin reciting the harsh, almost painful to the ears, words in the demonic tongue. Finally the large black and red flower topped guardian stepped out from a series of angry red lines in the air. [demonic] "Protect the door. No one enters without permission." The demon bowed its head and Felen let it out the front door.

Zora had not really minded that Felen had briefly taken her glass of wine away from her. In fact, after he left her alone for the evening, Zora took only a few more sips before curling up on the couch to watch an old movie during which she fell asleep comforted by the knowledge that Polgid was watching over her.
