It in all honesty felt like straight from a cheesy romance movie when Cam and Kal sat on the beach in each other's arms while watching the sunset. Well, Cam was a sucker for such movies anyway, so he happily leaned himself against Kal, and let himself drown in the happy feeling overtaking his mind. Cam had wrapped his other hand on top of Kal's hugging his chest, and with the other he was gently toying with Kal's hair. Cam was leaning his head to the side so his cheek rested against Kal's head. Cam was looking forward at the sunseg as well, but he kept glancing at Kal, as if to check he was still there.
"You know, I kind of want to try and braid our hair together sometime.'
Cam said, partly to himself, and chuckled at the idea and image of it. But he also meant it, and it showed at the playful smile he had on his face.
When Kal spoke his words Cam looked at him bit surprised, but at the same time those words warmed his heart. Kal was basically saying Cam was the right guy, or at least Cam took it like that. He smiled and nuzzled his cheek against Kal's head a bit.
"Then, I'm one hell of a lucky guy to be here with you. Thank you, for choosing me."
There was a strangely gentle and warm tone to Cam's voice when he said that, and his sincerity was clear from his expression. Kal wasn't the first guy Cam had dated, not by a long shot, but Cam could say that he felt more strongly about the man than he did about most people he had dated. Cam didn't like looking too far into the future in relationships, he lived in the moment, but he hoped this, he and Kal, would last for a while.
