Someone had been watching him. People glancing at him was absolutely nothing out of the ordinary. Even on the island, he stuck out. The teeth. The tail. Especially the tail.

The tail was pretty unique.

But someone had given him more attention than usual. Someone with an unusual appearance of their own. They were watching them, and on another day Jackal probably wouldn't have even noticed. But with everything going on with Dalia?

He was wired. Cranked up to eleven.

So the moment his shift was over, Jackal headed out the back and went to find that bastard in blue. He had plenty of advantages, and it wasn't as if his appearance was subtle.

Kalik wasn't intentionally watching Jackal at first. After he had noticed him some time before, Kalik had found himself around the general area where Jackal work on most days. He still wasn't even watching Jackal directly yet. There was a reason why he was doing this but that reason never fully crossed his mind.

It was simply the fact that Jackal was truly Jawa or the closests person to Jawa.

Not too hard to find. No, not hard at all. Jackal trailed after him, keeping an eye on him at a distance. But he didn't trail for long.

Jackal was not a patient guy.

"So," he said, catching up to Kalik as he threw an arm a round his shoulder. "What's the deal with you?"

He knew he was being followed so he decided to stay in a public area near people. Kalik was going to just wait around until he stopped being followed but that didn't seem to be the case. Kalik stopped in his tracks and froze in place once he felt Jackal's arm around his shoulders.

Part of him wanted to immediately just panic and yell for help but he remained calm. He wasn't going to get taken again. He stood out too much right now.

"Can you please remove your arm off of me? I don't...." He did not feel safe. "I prefer if you do."

Hm. He looked nervous. Was that a good thing? Was that a bad thing? Who knew. Jackal was very keen on playing it by ear, winging it as he did.

So he dropped his arm off the guy's shoulder.

"Saw you looking," he said. "What's the staring for?"

After distancing himself a bit away from Jackal, Kalik turned to face and look up at him. He was staying calm at least. Jackal didn't seem threatnin- well no Kofi didn't seem threatning at all and he by now way had a weird tail and sharp teeth.

"I was staring at you?" He was? He guess he was staring. "I didn't realize I was...my mistake."

Kalik thought it was probably better to just not do anything too drastic just yet. He could just run away but he also didn't want to do that.

"You totally were," he said. "Staring. At me."

He wasn't going to back down on that. But the guy was playing it real casual, wasn't he?

"So who're you, exactly? Can't just call you staring guy."

Kalik smiled slightly at Jackal. This was fine, he was fine, everything was fine. They were clearly just having a simple convetsation afterall. "I am Kalik."

He eyed Jackal for a few moments to consider a few things. "Nice...to meet you?"

Had they met? Jackal paused for a moment, looking him over.

"I think we met," he said. "Community center, right? You were like... I don't know." He'd said something. They'd talked about it. He just didn't remember shit.

And then, out of nowhere, Jackal changed the subject.

"You know Dalia?"

Look at Jackal confused at the mention of Dalia. He wasn't sure why he even asked about Dalia and just looked a bit puzzled. Kalik definitely knew Dalia but wasn't sure why that had to do with anything. Did he somehow knew? Kalik wasn't too sure on how to properly answer this. He could lie but there was also the chance he probably knew about him speaking to Dalia that one time.
"Dalia? I believe I have spoken to her once before."
