Explorations gone astray

Nicole's explorations around the academy finally brought her to the lounge. She had been on her way to the dorm rooms to find a room for herself but when she passed the lounge she couldn't help looking inside. She set her bag down by a wall and took a seat on one of the couches, eyeing the room. The atmosphere was quite enjoyable and she smiled despite herself. Excitement welled up inside her. She couldn't wait to meet the other people here.

Nicole looked up and smiled at Judas. "Yes, I've only just arrived." She stood up and outstretched her hand to shake his. "I'm Nicole, Nicole Hunt. Have you attended here long?" She asked curiously. Being her first day here, everything was new to her, including the people and she was ready to learn all she could from them.

She nodded. "I have been enjoying myself. There are quite a few interesting talents here. Some inherent, some learned. Which of these do you posess?" She asked, withdrawing her hand and picking up her discarded bag, placing on her shoulder. Wouldn't want to leave it lying around, She thought cautiously. Having someone root through her things was not something she liked, nor was it very safe for the person in most cases. Hey, people should learn not to eat strange candy stolen from another. It was NOT her fault that the kid became a daisy.

A vine sprouted from the ground and began wrapping itself around his ankle in response to his question. "I'm an earth sorceress." She replied. "I manipulate earth and vegetation." She stated with a grin. " I can make trees grow, ground shake, I can even make the sky fall. But now it is I that boasts."

The vine on his ankle released its grip and slithered back into the ground. She grinned. "I thank you, little chicken. But all the same I will call you Judas and it is preferable you call me Nicole." She smiled kindly and tossed him a crumpled paper from her bag. "And you may call that,a summoning spell. I certainly cant use it, it requires mental powers which I lack. Merely incorporate the object or creature's true name into the spell and wherever it is, it will appear before you." Nicole knew that he would not be so thick as to try it without asking the catch but nevertheless she waited to guage his reaction.
