((That sounds so FMA ^^))

"Exactly." she remarked. "In order for the spell to work, the caster gives up half his total energy. In other words, if you're half depleted, this spell will deplete the rest." She shrugged and gave him a mischeivious glance. "No spell worth casting is ever free."

(:P)
Judas pocketed the scroll, bowing with a flourish.
"Ah thank you indeed. What a friendly young girl you are to simply hand out scrolls. Though I'd avoid some of the more eccentric fools on the academy grounds."

Nicole smiled coldly at him. "Friendly? Call me 'young girl' again and see just how friendly I am." Her voice it seemed, dripped with venom. "And I don't just hand out scrolls to anyone I meet. They have to have an ability that I find intriguing before I encourage their talents.

Judas smirked at her, unfazed.
"How amusing. Though I must say, you have the appearance of a young girl, and I hardly doubt that the academy would allow an old hag, with the exception of vampires like Rayana, and as I have already read and identified your soul, you are undoubtedly not a vampire."

Nicole frowned. "For your information I'm sixteen. That is hardly young but I am also no old hag!" Nicole's fingers itched to curse him, to hex him for his insults but she restrained herself. She crossed her arms and gave him an even look. "What about you? You do not appear very old. Should you really be criticising?"

Judas smirked.
"Ah my dear, by the years of humanity I am your age, and indeed I was born a bit over sixteen years ago. But it is by the soul that age is truly measured. I can see your soul, bursting with youth and vigor, and it is with that I measure true age. I am an old man, you see."

Nicole narrowed her eyes. "fine, old man," She had the sudden urge to just hex him or something, but the lounge was not suited to such harsh actions. "but since your body is only sixteen, you can not call me young girl since "girl is in fact a limitation of the body." She countered.

Judas simply laughed.
"I call who I want, what I want, regardless of logic and manner."
He smirked.
"Though I assume you'd rather be called 'miss' or 'young girl' than old hag."

"True," she admitted. "But is it really so hard to just call me Nicole? It isn't a hard name to pronounce!" Nicole really did NOT want to be called old hag. Also, the guy seemed nice, she didn't want to have to encase him in stone for 30 years. Although a good dose of poison ivy might have been in order.

Judas simply smirked at her.
"Perhaps, perhaps. Tell me, have you enjoyed yourself here, hmm? I do hope you have a date for the dance, it's going to be amusingly droll."
