Steven could understand the desire to experiment with powers. Seeing what exactly they could and couldn't do. Though he was glad to hear, that she couldn't create a real copy of him. The last thing he wanted was a copy of himself believing he was the original or something and trying to replace him like a sci-fi or fantasy novel.

"Like a pet? So they come out at the size drawn then?" Steven asked, maybe he wouldn't of had to worry even if she could pull out realistically minded versions of himself, if they were only drawing sized. Drawing a human at full scale would have been no small task. He could easily think of the useful application of being able to create stuff only limited by what you could draw.

Evangeline nodded cheerfully, tapping her wrist while she did so.

"Yes, exactly! The bigger I make it, the bigger it comes out - I don't like to imagine the canvas I'd need to create a life sized version of you."

She giggled in a slightly nervous manner, wondering how long it would take her to paint or even draw something that big. Her wrist seemed to hurt just imagining the effort. Pulling her original painting back up, she studied it carefully while continuing to talk.

"I can't remember the last time I attempted to draw something even close to the size of a human. I usually stick to little things, like rings, toys and flowers."
A small "hmm" noise escaped her as she pondered that for a moment, almost as if she'd been reminded of the possibilities her own ability held.

"It would be nice to experiment with something much bigger though. Small trees, animals, cars... I just never have the time, or the paper."

Steven nodded at her explanation that she hadn't much experience of drawing thing on the scale of a person. She was also right that companies didn't exactly make drawing pads or canvas the size of a person, and the specialised order for material in such a size was likely to be pretty expensive. Though one last question remained that intrigued him.

"Does it have to be paper though? Of course these days you have street artists who paint on huge scales and even in history you had the same." Steven asked before plucking a few examples from his mind. "Like Leonardo's last supper or Michelangelo's covering the Sistine chapel." In fact thinking about it, paper was a pretty modern convention compared to the mediums that people used to use for art.

With a nod, Evangeline contemplated for a moment the examples he had given her. In truth, these were some of her favorite examples of art, and ones that she admired and looked up to deeply. What she wouldn't give to paint a masterpiece like those of history had... However, she realized she was on the path to getting very distracted, and dragged herself back in order to answer.

"Ah, unfortunately it does have to be paper. I've practiced on other mediums before, and it's so much fun! But, it's really painful and difficult to extract images from those sources, so paper is my best bet. The ability is almost worthless without it."

With a wistful sigh, she began to fiddle with her hair as her mind wandered to all sorts of forms of art. Art in general was a fascinating thing, in that it was subjective enough to take up almost any form imaginable, yet still concrete enough to have its limits.

"I would absolutely love to have more practice with the kinds of things you mentioned. Maybe one day my ability will advance far enough that I can extract pictures from other things, too..."
