Selkiris checked and double checked the address Morgana had given to him in the page she had passed to him a few days ago. Selkiris had thought carefully about what the page had written on it as well. Sleepless nights...why would Selkiris be the one giving her those? Selkiris sighed a little and put the note into one of his robe pockets, alongside the tea he had promised to bring for this meeting.

Selkiris knocked on the door and patiently waited for a response. “Morgana? It is Selkiris, I’m here to chat with you like we had planned earlier this week.”

Morgana jumped at the sound of the knock on her door. She chewed her lip and gently tucked away the bits of knitting she'd been working on. The fae rose to her feet and opened the door to her small suite. She stepped to the side with a flourish as if to say 'welcome, please come in' and kept pale violet eyes on Selkiris. She still felt uneasy around them. They were familiar and had a ring that matched hers, yet....She'd never met them. Unless they were him. In which case, she had many, many more questions.

After closing her door, Morgana let out a soft 'eep' noticing that her yarn had shed over her dress. She gave it a quick brushing down and grumbled. She really needed to stop using flax and cotton yarns. It liked her far too much sometimes. Morgana followed Selkiris, settling down at her small table in the kitchenette and began to write on the notepad there.

"Yes, welcome. I have many questions, but I imagine you want to make tea first. Perhaps we may trade questions so it is fair?"

Selkiris smiled as Morgana opened the door but she of course couldn’t see it as his face as obscured by his hood. He noted the yarn on her dress, so she was a knitter. That felt oddly fitting for her, even though Selkiris frankly didn’t know that much about them.

Selkiris moved over to the kitchenette, quickly reading what the note Morgana wrote said and started to prepare the tea he had brought. He did the indeed have a few questions but probably not the questions that Morgana had for him “Very well Morgana. You can start first I guess, what do you want to know?”

The woman hummed, taking her notepad back. She chewed on the pencil, unsure of what to ask Selkiris first. She had many a question. Would he reveal his face now? Perhaps not. Was he the man who haunted her dreams? Who whispered to her in a soft, tearful voice? Who chanted ancient magics? If he was, why? The fae dug her teeth into the soft wood as she tried to find her best course of action forward. Too pushy and he may bolt like a frightened deer. Too soft and he'd dance around her endlessly. Finally she settled on what seemed most obvious to her first.

"Where did you get such a ring? It looks just like mine. I half thought you stole it from me when I first saw it."
She followed him into the kitchenette, peering over his shoulder for a moment to observe as he began to boil water. Somehow the domesticity of the scene felt surreally familiar, and that disturbed her. With a quick tap on his robbed shoulder she turned the page towards what she assumed was his face.

Selkiris turned a little at the tap of the shoulder to read the note before quickly turning back to look over the boiling water for the tea he was preparing. “‘My ring? It’s my wedding ring, had it when I proposed to my wife.” Selkiris got to work preparing everything else he needed for the tea. He had learned the steps to making this tea from Morgan but he was certainly not as good at making it though. “I’m not surprised they look similar, it’s just a bit of metal really. It’s not the fancy gold or gem encrusted rings that people get nowadays, mostly because we couldn’t afford them. But if that’s your question, here’s mine. Where are you from? And I mean more country or area wise.”

Wife? Morgana swallowed thickly and and stared down at her own silver band. He brushed it off so easily, but didn't the man in her dreams wear the same ring the same way? Wasn't hers similar enough to mean something? She'd never seen "her" hands in those dreams, but if she had been a human, she likely wore the ring as a wedding band. It was evidently a very common custom. His question got her back to the present, more or less. The fae took up her notepad again.

"A place called "The United Kingdom" according to Willard. I believe its far from here since the weather and wildlife is much different." Morgana paused before revealing her notepad to him. What should her next question be. She chewed on her lip momentarily before finishing her note. "Can you tell me about your wife? How she lived and died. What she was like?"

Maybe his wife had died in her forest or something? Morgana revealed the little pad with a bit of a nervous look. Theoretically, this would be a touchy subject for Selkiris...Though he seemed incredibly calm in everything else. Even when she snatched at him.

“Oh the United Kingdom? I’m from there as well, further south though near the southern coast.” Selkiris gave a simple hum as he started to finish up the tea, pouring out a cup for both Morgana and him, taking a little sip of it. He seemed to pause for a while as he was asked about his wife. “.........Morgan? She was the love of my life, a kind and innocent soul that tried to see the best in everyone. And who said she died? I mean she did, and I’d prefer not to talk about it, but I never said she died you just said it out of nowhere.”

Morgana grasped the cup with shaking hands. Morgan?! She swallowed before taking a minute sip of her tea. Fu- The fae winced at Selkiris's accusation as mild as it seemed. She meekly sat down at the table and took a few, slow breaths before writing.

"I'm sorry. I have had dreams of dying for as long time. A man with a ring like yours was in them, looming over me and begging. It's why I was so startled when I saw your ring. I'm not sure how real they are or were, as it was. But I shouldn't have assumed."

She slid the notepad over to him and buried her nose in the cup of tea, sipping the warm drink slowly but surely. In some ways, not seeing his face was a blessing. In others, a curse, as she could imagine all manner of horrific expressions and thoughts.

Selkiris though carefully as he read the note. These were strange dreams, and were supposedly linked to Morgan. While Morgana may be linked to Morgan somehow Selkiris was not going to jump to the conclusion that it was Morgan, it would save his heart a lot more grief that way. “Can you tell me more about this dream? And about the man you saw?” If this really was visions of Morgan’s slow death, Selkiris certainly had to get involved. He needed to get to the bottom of why Morgana was getting this visions.

Morgana put down the cup and began on a much longer note for Selkiris. This one came with small doodles and "diagrams" as best she could manage, though she was certainly no artist.

"The first dreams came as I grew weak due to human interference in my woods. I was in a bed. A pale man with dark hair was kneeling at my side. He was whispering and murmuring words, gripping my hands...Other dreams we were in a garden or dancing. I had one of knitting some sort of large black fabric." Her writing was interrupted by a small sketch of what she remembered of the small garden's layout: mostly vegetables and kitchen herbs, which she labeled to the side. "The worst, I think, was him begging and crying. I woke up in such a start. That was the first dream, and I wanted to reach out to help him...soothe his pain? but I couldn't, of course. It was a dream. I woke up like this- a human- that first night and I was a wreck. He looked so distressed and was clinging to my hands, brushing my hair out of my face. I don't remember what all he was saying, though. Just the tone of it."

She slid the pad to him and smiled bittersweetly. This was the most she'd talked about this to anyone.
