Nessie smiled. He was excited for this, and it made her excited, too. They were both nervous, but things would work out. It wasn't exactly anything like she'd imagined, but then again, life was kind of like that, wasn't it?

We have time, she told him gently, running her hands over his arms. A whole nine months of time before the baby came, even though that was a short time considering how long Nessie had been alive...but working together, they would make those nine months count.

He was going to be a father, in truth he didn't really expect to ever be one, given what his life had been like before, the possibility of parenthood just didn't seem likely, yet here he was. "Yes, we'll make a home for them," he'd wrap his arms around her, his forehead gently leaning against hers.

"I love you," he kissed her, "I...didn't think I'd ever have a family." The cat shifter would give her a smile, this was far sooner than he'd ever think it would happen, but that wasn't necessarily a bad thing. "I'll need to talk to the school about maybe schedule changes, I want to be with you during doctor checkups," things at school would change even if he wasn't dropping out, some people raised eyebrows when he moved in with her.

Edward took a breath, it was all big, but they'd make it, they'd make it work, they'd have a family. "Marry me?" it came out suddenly, it even surprised him, his face flushing as the words came out. "Sorry....sorta slipped out," he'd chuckle a little, "maybe not right away, but when we're ready," he'd gently squeeze her hands.

True, she hadn't ever imagined either that she'd have a home and a family and feel comfortable with all of it. Edward had been such an unexpected gift in her life, as was their child that she was now carrying. She was happy, though, happier than she'd ever been in all her life.

His sudden proposal brought a flush to her face. I'd...I'd like that, she told him, smiling. Marriage hadn't been something she'd ever considered, either, but with the idea now in her head, she liked it a lot.

Maybe tomorrow we can go look for a ring? It might be a little soon, but she wanted to be his, more than anything in the world, and she wanted everyone to know about it just by seeing a band around her finger. But for now...she took Edward's hands and kissed him deeply. He was hers.
