<div align=center>The current scene could possibly remind one of a certain part of Bambi, where snow coated the ground and a certain long legged deer skated across a frozen pond, or attempted to skate at least. Bill stood dead still, his breath fogging in the winter air and his eyes wide, frightened. How had he gotten out here? He had no idea, but when he turned his head to look back he found that he was too far away from the shore to be able to go back again. Ice skating will be easy. He had told himself, Gabriel said he can do it just fine. And if Gabe could do it, then why couldn't he? Why was he trapped out in the middle of a frozen lake. The boy whimpered, Gabe was never around when you needed him, or if he was, he arrived far too late to help.

He could hear the ice crunching beneath his feet and it made him panic. "Please don't break." He whispered, doe eyes flickering down to look beneath him, a thought briefly crossing his mind that wondered if the fish were alright. If he moved, he'd fall, and if he fell he would probably fall through the surface of the lake and drown. William couldn't ice skate, and he certainly couldn't swim. The boy drew a breath and shivered a little, ah well, if I die at least I've known love.</div>

Gabe shivered from the cold winter weather, fresh snow had fallen earlier and everything looked so clean and beautiful. It was like a scene out of a movie, and it really was a winter wonderland. However the fact that Gabe had 'forgotten' to wear a coat, as usual, was causing it to be a little unpleasant for him. Gabe hadn't really forgotten to wear a coat, he simply didn't own one. They were expensive and he would rarely wear it anyway so he didn't see the point of buyin' one, or at least he didn't see the point until he was out by the lake on a snowy day.

If there was something Gabe had gotten a lot better at since he started dating William, it was being able to sense where the boy had disappeared to. He often knew where to find Bill, maybe because of a bit of natural intuition and by knowing Bill so well that he probably knew him better than Bill knew himself.

Bill'd been talking about ice-skating to him recently, he remembered because he had assured his boyfriend that ice-skating wasn't that difficult and that he was decent enough at it. Gabe was a bit worried now though, perhaps Bill'd gone to ice-skate without him, and if he hadn't done it before then it might be hard for him to get it right. Especially with Bill being naturally clumsy.

Sure enough as Gabe approached the edge of the lake ,or where the lake used to be...you couldn't exactly see any water seen as it had frozen over, he saw that tall, lanky, beautiful boy who would be his boyfriend Bill. Unfortunately Bill was looking a little scared, and he wasn't in the safest area of the lake.

"Bill, is that you?" Gabe called out, even though he was ninety-nine per cent sure that it was. "Can you hear me?"

<div align=center>The boy quivered a little, there was a sense of impending doom coming upon him, he was scared. He most likely had absolutely no reason whatsoever to be so frightened, but there was probably no way he could get back either, not without seriously injuring himself. A voice made him look up, of course it was him, who else would it be? Who else could get themselves into a stupid situation like this. Only William was unlucky enough to really end up in the middle of an iced over lake with absolutely no ice skating skills whatsoever. "Gabey help me!" He squeaked back, wobbling a little and extending his arms forward to try and stop himself from going over.

It didn't work.

He fell forwards and collided with the ice with a loud crack. A jolt went through his body and all of a sudden his jaw felt like someone had kicked him. He remained there for a little while, shivering violently and deciding whether he should attempt to get up or not. His face stung and he was freezing. Bill was beginning to feel just a little bit dizzy, and his vision had blurred. Oh dear. He felt something crack very quietly beneath him. Oh dear me.</div>

As the boy looked up, Gabe knew it was most definitely William. His heart began to race, his palms felt a little sweaty, he was worried , very worried. What the hell is that damn kid doing out there? How did he even end up there? , Gabe wondered as he began to tiptoe across the ice.

Gabe was good at knowing where to place his feet so that he did not crack the ice. "I'm coming, I'm coming, just don't move." Gabe called out, in response to Bill's cry for help. Gabe swore he felt something twinge inside his chest as Bill called out to him. The boy was so dependent on him right now.

"Careful!" Gabe yelped as he saw William stumble, Gabe was still too far away to catch him. Gabe started to move as fast as he could without breaking the ice, giant strides after giant strides but he didn't reach Bill in time.

"William, get up! Get up!" Gabe instructed but the boy was not answering. Oh dear, oh dear, what if he is unconscious?" Gabe fretted. And then he saw it , he saw the ice crack from beneath William.

Finally he reached Bill and extended an arm,
"Bill grab my arm!" He yelled, "Bill, Bill please!" He wasn't sure if the boy could hear him.

<div align=center>"Rosebud!" Bill squeaked, shivering a little. Something about this situation reminded him very much of the scene in Jurassic Park: The Lost World where the tyrannosaurus push the trailer from the cliff, and Sarah falls to a steadily cracking pane of glass at the bottom of the trailer, ah, she's just seconds from falling into the sea. But there weren't any dinosaurs here, though Gabriel was more or less acting in the place of Ian Malcolm. William's faint squeal of Ian! Ian! suggested he may not have been taking this situation as seriously as he should have been. Another crack beneath him bought him back to reality though, and he began to freak out.

He most likely wouldn't die if he fell through the surface, but he couldn't really swim and he'd probably end up getting hypothermia, or maybe even pneumonia. William grumbled something and struggled, his hand latching onto the end of Gabe's sleeve. The boy roughly tugged himself up, though slipped, let go again, and splash. He vanished beneath the surface of the water. Fortunately he reappeared a few moments later, thrashing and spluttering, groping desperately for Gabriel's hand, squealing: "you were meant to save me Ian! You were meant to save me!"</div>

"Rosebud?" Gabriel repeated, tilting his head to one side. He was extremely confused, why on earth was William talking about rosebuds? Especially in this situation? The boy was usually so cute with his silly babble but now Gabe was starting to worry that Bill was so cold that it was driving him a little insane.

He shook his head, Bill wasn't taking this seriously enough. He should have grabbed Gabe's hand by now, Gabe bent down trying to extend his hand as far as it would go without him falling in. His arm ached and he couldn't go any further. "C'mon Bill!" He urged, yet again.

"William! Gabe yelped as his heart lurched. Fortunately, Bill reappeared seconds later and Gabe gained his breath back. He tugged as hard as he could as Bill caught his hand and he pulled the boy up to the surface. Who's Ian? What is he talkin' about? . "Bill, Bill you're okay now...you're okay."

Gabe watched the shuddering, spluttering mess that was his boyfriend. "I'm not Ian. I'm Gabe." He told him. "Now Bill come with me, you're safe now. But you need to warm up, let's go have a hot shower and some hot chocolate to make you feel better."

<div align=center>William spluttered and struggled from the water, clinging to the other boy for what seemed like dear life. He was shivering rather violently and his hair was soaked and dripping, it curled when it was wet, which William would most likely complain about later. "C... Cold... Cold..." He stammered, tensing up and clinging just that little bit tighter. Oh no I'm going to get sick. There was no doubt he would, the poor boy was so feeble that getting sick was ridiculously common. Gabriel seemed confused, William didn't think he'd understood his Jurassic Park references, though he didn't say anything about it.

His teeth were chattering and he was steadily getting paler and paler. His brow furrowed very slightly, he grabbed the older boy and struggled up him a little, he wanted to be carried, though that would probably be just a tad difficult, and when he realized it would result in them both falling through the ice he let go suddenly and stood dead still. "What?" He shook his head, "haven't you seen...? Nevermind." A hot shower sounded good just about now, poor William was beginning to steadily lose the feeling in his hands and toes. "I'm so cold!"</div>

Gabe clutched onto the shivering mess that was his boyfriend. The poor kid was freezing , absolutely freezing. The kind of cold that prevents you from breathing. "Are you okay?" Gabe asked, "Can you breathe properly?" He asked once William had a chance to recover a little bit. If the boy couldn't breathe properly they'd have to bring him to the infirmary . That'd be a nightmare; William hated the place.

Gabe blinked a little, "I know, I know sweetie." He frowned, "let's get you back for a hot shower c'mon." He repeated, "that's what you need." Maybe it'd prevent the boy from catching something like pneumonia. "Oh were you making movie references?" Gabe asked, he didn't usually get a lot of Bill's references.
