“If you have nothing to offer, you get ignored. Isn’t that how it normally works?” Actually, he wasn’t trying to push her away anymore. Now that she wasn’t trying to get too close to him, he’d relaxed somewhat – enough that he was just speaking his mind.

“Hm… well, if I get food poisoning, I’ll find you and make you pay for my medicine, how does that sound? Or maybe I’ll just throw up on you, to get the message across.” He chuckled lightly, then turned his attention to the band.

He hadn’t gotten to hear much music back home, and frankly what they were playing suited his ears well enough. “There’s enough noise here without a blaring and energetic song – but anyways, no. I just live in the area. Would have come here earlier if I knew about this. Could have saved myself the expense of breakfast.”

“…I imagine she’s a student, though.” He couldn’t tell how old she was because of her… species, but she certainly acted young enough.

Dorito's eyes narrowed, her expression souring as she looked at the guy. She didn't know what stung worse, that she tried to put the moves on a hobo or that the hobo had shot her down. She was just about to snap to it, to let her powers out and adjust this guy's attitude for the better, when Cheeto stumbled up, messy and dazed.

"S-Sis... I got... I got stepped on. I got stepped on a lot."

It was more than clear that Cheeto had been trampled on the dance floor, her clothes were quite dirty and she had some rather sour looking bruises on her arms. "Can I sit down for a bit?" She wobbled, still quite dizzy it seemed as Dorito took her arm and helped hold her up. "Its alright Cheets, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have left you out there..." Cheeto smiled weakly to her horrified sister, brushing some of her dark green hair out of her eyes. "Its okay, I just gotta sit down for a bit. I don't think I'm going back out there again though." "Not unattended at least. Want something to eat? Food here's great."

Cheeto looked up at Lumine with her big, sulky eyes and gave a polite smile. "Oh Hi there. Hey... Can I have some of that? Maybe a burger or a hot dog?" Dorito helped Cheeto get a little closer to the table, smiling at her sister and all but forgetting her cruel vengeance on Sasha. "Here we go sis, easy..." She looked up at Lumine as well. "This is cheeto by the way." "Hi.." "Got a hot dog for her? She likes it with Relish and potato chips."

"I've been eating the same food. If you get poisoned, it's your own fault for trusting a complete stranger to follow health code."

Not like there was really one to follow during a shindig like this. Of course everything was cooked properly, and nobody would be getting sick from the ordeal, unless of course they ate too much; but at the very least, that would be entirely their fault, not hers.

The highlight for her day on the other hand was the pair of sisters who had reasonably similar personalities to Terrene and herself, and despite the obvious difference in genus, Lumine could only smile at their antics. It's unlike you'd ever see her own sister dance, but she was pretty outgoing in her own ways.

"The food is free, have as much as you want. There's chips on the table over...there."

Lumine leaned back and pointed at the barbecue chips...and the regulars for those that felt that leading boring lives was the best they could do in this world.

"I'm going to figure this is the first time you three have met. Is this your first time at one of these island festivals?"

“It was a complete stranger with free food. Forgive me for getting excited.” Sasha didn’t sound excited, but the sentiment was there.

Sasha turned his attention to the new… creature who had wobbled up to the other one. It seemed they were related, although this one was far less… social. He wasn’t sure what he thought of how Dorito handled the situation. Her sister was clearly injured, at yet all she offered was food…

“…Yes, this is the first time at the festival.” Sasha answered without looking at the human girl, his attention still on the shyer sister. “Cheeto, may I suggest heading to the fountain? You should likely get some of the dirt out of your scratches. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was some sort of healer in the area, either – perhaps I should find one?”

"A Healer? Think there's one around?" At Cheeto's words, Dorito's expression grew to near-panic as she put her hands on Cheeto's shoulders, turning her so that she stood face to face with her orange-haired twin. "A healer? Is it that bad?!" She quickly started to fuss over Cheeto, pushing her hair aside and checking each bruise and scrape and mark. "H-Hey, calm down Dorito. Calm down!" Cheeto's hand started to glow with a soft, pale light. Small balls of light started to form around a burger, a bun, the barbecue chips, and some condiments. The objects moved quickly and began to assemble into a hamburger quickly.

"Quit movin' so much, sis. I shouldn't have left you out there... If I knew these big 'uns were gunna just walk on you I'd..." "Its okay, Dorito, I'm okay really. We can get me a healer or a doctor or something, right?" She looked up at Sasha with those green eyes of hers, giving a weak smile as she was checked over and preened by her sister.

"Well nothing looks too bad... you sure you'll need a healer?" The two sisters shared a look and a few private thoughts before both started to grin and break out into a small gigglefit. "Yes. Yes someone please get a healer for my sister!"
