Their parents tried to give them a normal life, or as stable a life as could be given to someone of their nature born fully grown, but it was quickly seen that this child could not be raised among humans. Being a god, they matured rapidly but dysfunctionally and though they appeared human, they still required a great deal of supervision and social interaction that they couldn't really receive in the normal world.
Although her parents had heard of Manta Carlos from her aunt, they had never actually thought of living there before, but now it seemed necessary. They decided to move there and raise their child with support from a supernatural community. There was also an added benefit of having a school that could handle the unbalanced teenager, and contact with another family member.
