Name: Ettein Tze-Fan (First name pronounced as E-tay-in. This was the name his birth parents planned to give him as it is an original and unisex name derived from the name Etane who in mythology was a goddess of which his mother had great interest in as a child. Considering the strict way her family was and the way the hierarchy was, Ettein’s mother wanted to raise him to think differently and to help bring about change to the empire and so she chose a non-traditional and non-gender biased name.)

(IE: he can be attracted to masculine traits in males, females, genderqueer individuals, transsexuals, etc.) The biological makeup of an individual doesn’t matter to him but he is very much so, more drawn to masculine traits than feminine ones.

Human Form: Although Ettein’s true and natural form is that of a dragon, you will most likely find him in his human form as he both has a personal preference for it and is a bit embarrassed by how small and still childish his dragon form is. Like his dragon form, his human form is considerably small as well and youthful as dragons age slower and as a result, their human forms do as well (he still looks like a teenager, maybe a bit younger than he actually is or even feminine but not necessarily child-ish). The first thing you’re bound to notice about Ettein’s human form is that he isn’t quite human at all. Even though this form is considered ‘human’ to him, it is more humanoid as he retains a lot of dragon characteristics and cannot fully take on a human appearance.

In this form, much like in his dragon form as well, Ettein has a very androgynous appearance as most of his features present characteristics of both genders. (A dragon’s gender usually isn’t too easy to tell by appearance alone and that trait has transferred over to his human form). He is often mistaken for a female, a transsexual, a cross dresser and all manner of combinations of things due to this but doesn’t seem to mind so much although he identifies completely as a male. The main contributors to this confusion are his facial structure/features and hair considering that his face and hair are the most androgynous of his appearance. Though he is of Asian descent, his complexion is lighter than one would expect and is more akin to an albino’s due to the coloration of his dragon form and not from avoiding the sun (he doesn’t really tan in the sun but maybe a light shade darker than he already is but burns most of the time). His face has a rather youthful appearance; having a soft jaw line, medium sized nose, feminine and almost ‘pouty’ lips, and dimpled cheeks when he smiles. His eyes are an odd but striking mix of different shades of gold with slit pupils and the surrounding area about his irises being black instead of white. As well as naturally having epicanthic folds and an almost narrowed look to his eyes, he may appear sleepy or even cat-like in contrast with his soft features. His hair is naturally a very light blond, almost white in color but is darker at the roots and tips ranging from that nearly white blonde to a warm cream yellow. He wears it long, naturally straight and with a diagonal part with long-ish bangs that fall partly into his face and the body reaching about the mid of his back in length. Due to his species and age as a dragon, his human skin is incredibly smooth, almost silky or satiny much like a snakes scales and is has a similar luster to it as well. Along with being physically smooth to the touch, his skin’s appearance is virtually so in that he doesn’t have human-like imperfections such as acne and blotchiness and never will.

In this form, Ettein stands just under 5’5’’ but not quite 5’4’’ and has a rather lithe but athletic and toned build. His physique is, much like his facial features, androgynous in appearance and not necessarily masculine but most definitely not completely feminine. His shoulders are slightly broad compared to his waist but they aren’t brawny and instead more graceful like a dancer’s almost as well as the rest of his upper body is; strong but flexible and elegant, leading to very subtle curves, petite and almost feminine hips and ass. In his human form he is fairly ‘leggy’, having longer legs and a shorter torso and his legs are just as smooth, elegant and toned as the rest of his body. Though, with all this being said, he does not look completely human and shares traits with his dragon form such as horns, a tail and wings. His horns easily show through his hair and are angled back so that they point behind him but they aren’t so large as to completely get in the way or to be heavy. Ettein’s nails are a bit long and sharp for a human's and naturally grow back faster as well as are a naturally an almost silvery white as they too take on a coloring matching his dragon form. His canines as well as the rest of his teeth are rather sharp like a dragon's but not overly so. A silvery white scale pattern can be found about his body in such places as the outer parts of his feet and legs, up his back from where his tail starts, the outer parts of his arms and up to his neck as well as about his face. His tail is rather slender for what one might think a dragon would have with silvery scales running along it’s underside and a thick but soft and creamy yellow colored fur trailing along the back. The same type of fur gathers at the end to create a fluffy fur tip to his tail. Upon his back sit a pair of feathered wings which range from the same silver white of his scales to that creamy yellow of the fur on his tail. (Most Asian dragon’s do not have wings but Ettein is a Ying-Lung dragon which is one of the few Asian species that do have wings). At the very top of these wings and angled downward slightly are claw like spikes in which can be used as second appendages (more so in dragon form than human form; they can help balance him out and help him gain speed when running in that form as well as can be used as a weapon much like the horns on his head).

As for clothing, Ettein prefers comfort over fashion but he does pay attention to his appearance. He is very insistent upon being clean and well groomed in that he showers daily, his hair is free of tangles (which gets on his nerves if it isn’t), his clothing is clean and not wrinkled and that he looks nice or at least presentable. His clothing choice however is more made upon comfort than fashion as he is finicky when it comes to textures and fabrics. He will sooner choose something that feels nice against his skin than something that looks good. That being said, he does have a preference of style and generally dresses more metrosexual or androgynous than masculine. He finds more feminine clothing nicer looking than most of the male fashion as well as being a dragon, he is very attracted to jewels and anything shiny and expensive looking as well as he has a liking for fur. (He doesn’t like to look outright feminine as he is male and completely identifies as such but doesn’t mind looking a little feminine if it means comfortable and nice looking clothing that makes him feel good. (Expensive and jeweled clothing is like wearing treasure to him in an odd way…)

Dragon Form: As a dragon, Ettein is considerably young and still noted as a juvenile or child rather than a teenager as he would and is considered as a human. In this form he is rather small, even laughable in size compared to a full grown adult dragon as he is more comparable to a horse where as a full grown dragon could be comparable to a building or several buildings. Instead of menacing or majestic, Ettein’s dragon form appears to be as youthful as he is small as he has not quite grown into his limbs and still has a bit of the fuzz of a young dragon instead of a sleek fuzz-less body with scales and adult fur (similar to how a lot of baby animals have 'fuzz' instead of fur or smooth skin and gradually grow out of it, he is still in the stages of trying to grow out of it completely). As with the coloring of his dragon traits in his human form, Ettein’s scales are a silvery white color as well as the majority of his fur aside from the creamy yellow along his tail and in his wings. It’s obvious in this form, that he has a lot of maturing to do and is far from reaching his full size or strength.


Ettein is a very approachable individual as his appearance isn’t menacing or off putting and can instead be considered exotic or interesting and possibly attractive to some as well as simply mellow and tranquil. He seems to carry with him, an almost lullaby-like aura and emanate a sense of calm and fascination which deters from how dangerous a dragon is capable of being. Much like many predators out there, this is a natural charm to draw in prey and even as a defense, to put off those that may want to harm him (obviously this doesn’t make him attractive or impervious to everyone but is simply a naturally built in perk and defense mechanism). Being a rather solitary individual however, this often draws unwanted attention to him when it does. Since childhood, Ettein has always been more of an introvert and has preferred his own or the company of few versus the company of many. He isn’t overwhelmingly shy necessarily and actually welcomes interaction with others in calmer situations and can be fairly friendly as much like that calm aura he gives off, his personality is predominantly warm and docile. He tries to make it a point to be polite and understanding when it comes to others, being very open minded and accepting them as they are. He believes it to be a common courtesy to do so as he would like others to do the same for him. He is well aware that this isn’t always the case though and despite this fact, makes an attempt to be respectful toward others. Due to this almost overly kind nature of his, he has a hard time saying no when genuinely asked for something (with the exception of his ‘treasure’ which he can be overly protective and selfish of) or being assertive in most situations and is more inclined to agree to something or try to silently pass something off than to flat out decline. When it comes to taking something offered to him such as help, offered food and the like, he can feel rather guilty about it and would prefer to give than to take. Going along with this, when asking for something from someone which isn’t often done, he tends to be quiet and shy or overly cautious about it.

Despite the fact that he can seemingly brush a lot off and bounce back easily, he is actually rather sensitive. He doesn’t take disappointment or reprimanding well and tends to feel as though he’s done something terribly wrong and must make up for up. As much as he would hate to admit it, he doesn’t take many things lightly and can become easily upset by them. An example of this would be if he were to be called a name, though knowing it was light hearted and nothing was meant by it, if it was said harshly, it might promote a feeling akin to actually being meant in a crude way. He doesn’t show this on the outside though but it may eat at him for quite a bit and he may feel like he’s done something wrong by that particular person and either keep his distance from them or become more quiet and cautious around them. The same thing goes for being told he’s done something wrong or being punished for doing something wrong even if it’s something pretty miniscule. This isn’t something he can help but it is something he has learned to control by not outwardly showing it. Along with this, he tends to take things the wrong way or look too much into things at times, even little things such as not receiving a smile in return when passing by someone and giving a silent acknowledgement; he may feel as though that person doesn’t like him or maybe was ignoring him. It isn’t something that’s very detrimental but is something that can really get to him when it’s brought on by either someone close to him or someone he wanted to impress or looked up to. This can also promote jealousy of others or misunderstandings which can get in the way of relationships with others but mostly just causes inner confliction.

He has a childish and innocent essence to him which tends to show its head when curiosity or excitement is provoked and at times when he’s upset or frightened as well. It isn’t difficult to peak his interest and if you do don’t be surprised if he pulls out his journal and starts jotting things down or even sketching you as well. His journal is more of a bestiary of sorts and is very important to him and he is very insistent upon keeping up with creatures he runs into and new information he learns about them. He nearly always has his journal with him but tends to forget it when he needs/wants it most and can become anxious to go and retrieve it or disappointed that he can’t write whatever new information he found in it (he can be a bit OCD about it and insist that he needs it). Although he is intelligent and fairly observant as well as reserved, Ettein can be a bit of a spaz and a goofball at times. If something shiny or interesting catches his eyes you’ll really see this dorky side to his personality as he is naturally attracted to shiny and/or expensive things as a dragon. Don’t be surprised if you find him staring at you if you say, have piercings or are wearing something silver or gold or something of the sort. Also don’t be surprised if you catch him stashing the silverware from a restaurant into his pockets and trying to walk out the door with it. Actually, it’s unlikely to find Ettein without something random he has picked up in his pockets and his dorm completely clean as he stashed his finds or his ‘treasure’ in every nook and cranny he can and where he feels it will be safe. Oh and don’t bother cleaning up the ridiculous clutter his hoarding of knick knacks creates unless you want to deal with a very pissed off dragon; no matter how useless and seemingly silly they are, these are Ettein’s treasure and you should never tamper with a dragon’s treasure. (He might be difficult to anger but it isn’t impossible and once you do you will find he can be every bit as dangerous as the dragon he is.)

Though he is a generally quiet individual he can become talkative around those he’s comfortable with or if a subject of interest is brought up and can be very persistent about things he feels very strongly about. Being assertive is not something that comes easy to him but he is very serious about his own beliefs and morals (non-religious), and will make them clear if someone tries to get him to go against them. The same goes for if someone is putting themselves down or brings up something he strongly disagrees with or something he can sympathize with and he may become defensive on their behalf. An example of this would be if someone feels ashamed of what they are or was being made fun of for it, he would tell them point blank that they shouldn’t feel that way and would stand up for them without giving it much thought. Afterward however, he may feel embarrassed for having reacted so strongly and may slip back into that calm and somewhat shy personality he has and may even apologize for over reacting and getting into their business. Being a sensitive person though, makes it difficult for him to stand there and tolerate something he disagrees with and he has a hard time looking the other way and feels as though he needs to do something.

Those aren’t the only ways he’s sensitive though as he can be very picky about things such as food, clothing, color preference and whatnot. This is due mostly due to being sensitive to certain textures, flavors and even colors at times. Being part reptile, some of the spices and flavors used on human food can be overwhelming to that side of his senses and so he prefers food with less flavor; not that he likes everything completely bland though. He can be very particular about meat and sweets especially as he doesn’t like many deserts and would much rather eat meat raw than spiced and cooked. He doesn’t eat a lot compared to the average human anyhow and may even come off as anorexic. This is a result of being mostly cold blooded and having to burn less calories to retain his temperature than the average human. His choice of human food can be seen as odd as he may pick at his food and pull things out of it he dislikes or scrape off the icing to a cupcake or something (he likes cake but isn’t a big fan of icing; it’s too sweet and has a gross texture in his opinion). He can also be pretty finicky when it comes to clothing material and that’s described above with his choice of style. All in all, Ettein can be very easy to get along with and can be a very understanding and loyal friend who can be relied on but he can also be a force to reckon with if you get on his bad side.

Likes: Shiny things, jewelry and odd little knick knacks, warmth, the colors black, red, silver, gold, and baby blue, exploring/discovering new food/places/music/etc and learning new things, art, movies (pretty much any genre), music (pretty much any genre as well other than country, most rap and really heavy/scream-y stuff), writing in his journal and reading, outdoors and nature, sleeping, sun bathing and lazing around outside, heights and flying.

Dislikes: Early mornings, the cold, being the center of attention, having his personal space invaded, being made fun of for his height/size (or anything really), really cold food and drinks such as ice cream, homework (as much as he likes learning about new things, schoolwork isn’t exactly a favorite past time), crowds (they usually spell disaster for him as it’s more difficult to move around them with his wings and tail without something being stepped on, pulled or caught on something), heavily spiced or sweetened foods.

Weaknesses: He can be a bit rough and aggressive when not meaning to be as he has a hard time determining his strength vs. others, he can become jealous rather easily, he is prone to holding grudges, can be a bit of a spaz and over react to things, can be pretty clumsy (especially when it comes to his horns and tail as he tends to get them caught and even tears his clothing when trying to dress accidentally sometimes), he isn’t necessarily very outspoken and isn’t very assertive, can become embarrassed easily and can be something of a push over.

Strengths: He is rather intelligent, observant and is a quick learner, he can be very understanding toward others and loyal to those that give him reason to be, though he is fairly small he is physically strong and could probably handle himself in a fight if he had to.

-Losing someone close to him if he becomes close to someone

-drowning; he can’t swim very well if at all due to his wings

Habits:

- Ettein still has a bad habit which started in childhood, of stealing and pocketing things that catch his eye (like silverware from a restaurant, the button off of an expensive shirt, the tin foil wrapper of a piece of gum and other odd knick knacks that are either of value or just interest him), and hiding them in odd places or simply carrying them around in his pockets.

- Ettein is a deep sleeper (he could fall off the side and onto his head without waking up) and tends to drool in his sleep as well as move around a lot (if you're sleeping in the same bed as him don't be surprised if you wake up and find his foot in your mouth and the rest of him hanging halfway off the bed), mumble and snore as well as partially act out his dreams or react to what is going on around him without realizing it (like if you try to move him he might grab onto your shirt or something and try to use you for a pillow...he might just try to actually eat one of the pillows in his sleep and if you try and shake him awake, don’t be surprised if you receive a punch to the face or kick to the gut.

-Ettein is a nervous ticker and when uncomfortable he might constantly shift his weight, scratch at his arms, brush his hair out of his face, bit his lip, fix his shirt, tap on the nearest surface and all manner of things that may get on other’s nerves. He also does this when impatient, annoyed or thinking and may not realize it if he’s being really annoying about it. Along with this, he doesn’t like complete silence and tends to hum or sing to himself when it’s too quiet.

-He is terrible with managing money and tends to spend any he earns on going to the movies, a shirt that he really likes or something completely useless that just caught his eye and he had to have instead of buying food and other necessities.

-Inserting Mandarin into his English or getting things mixed up and occasionally forgetting certain words.

Hobbies:

-As it’s pretty obvious already, Ettein likes to collect things and hoard them.

-drawing; Ettein is more of an artistic type rather than sporty or very studious and spends a lot of his time in class doodling and sketching rather than paying complete attention to the lesson (he pays enough attention not to fail though). He also enjoys drawing outside of class though he isn’t that great at it but can come up with some decent sketches.

-Writing in his journal; Ettein keeps a journal of information he learns about other species that he likes to keep on hand and update when he comes across a creature he has yet to run into. It’s a bestiary of sorts and it might seem weird to others but this journal means quite a lot to him.

-Watching and collecting movies and anime as well as reading and collecting books and playing video games and of course, collecting them too. Again with the hoarding.

Skills / Talents: He can draw decently well, he has a very good memory, is a quick learner, can speak two languages fluently (and is learning another).


Major; Dragon powers:

Enhanced senses and agility: While in human form all of Ettein’s senses are more keen than a normal human’s would be as well as he is stronger and a bit faster than your average human. He isn’t quite as strong or as fast as he can be in his dragon form but is still strong enough to effortlessly flip a car on its side and with effort actually lift it up off the ground (that’s about where his strength is in human form right now. He probably wouldn’t really be able to say throw a car, punch a crater in the ground or anything ridiculous like that). His speed is only slightly faster than your average human (effortlessly as fast as an athlete who trains and with effort only just a bit faster, if that), it’s more so his stamina that out does a human’s than his speed alone as he doesn’t tire out as quickly as a human. Most of his senses are just slightly more keen than a human’s, such as his sense of smell and hearing but his eye sight is the one of his senses to trump a human’s as he can see much better in the dark than a human (not perfect), his day time eye sight is pretty much a perfect 20/20 and much like a lizard he picks up color much better than a human and can see more color in dim light than a human. Ettein’s skin is also tougher than a human’s and though he can definitely be hurt, his skin is a bit more resistant in both forms (a lot more resistant in his dragon form and maybe twice as resistant as a human’s skin in his human form).

Shifting: Ettein has the ability to shift between his natural form as a dragon and his human form in which he retains several dragon-like traits as well as abilities. In his dragon form he is much stronger and faster than in his human form (though he might be a bit more clumsy). Over time and with a lot of practice he might be able to take on a more human appearance than the one he can now but that’s far ahead of him and would take much practice (and isn’t something he is particularly interested in at the moment).

Lightning/Electricity Manipulation: Ettein’s element as a dragon is lightning or electricity. With this ability he can create, shape and manipulate lightning and/or electricity. The main idea of this ability is that Ettein can both create and control electricity/lightning; however there are a few more components to it than just that. Ettein’s body temperature is naturally higher than a human’s and he is able to raise this temperature to scalding heights which would easily boil a human alive, to use it to keep warm, melt ice (and other such things) and even to give an electrical burn to someone with touch (he can either concentrate this in a single area of his body such as the palms of his hands or can use it throughout the entirety of his body. Basically it’s the ability of using the heat of lightning/electricity without actually creating it). Along with this, Ettein is immune to lightning and electricity and cannot be harmed by it but this only goes for lightning/electricity and he can be burned by any other means such as fire (though he’s a bit more resistant to it than a human, especially in his dragon form but his fur can be caught on fire unlike a fire dragon that most likely doesn’t have any). This ability can be used both in dragon and human form (as all others under this sub-ability) and can be used by way of ‘breathing’ or rather exhaling electricity much like a fire dragon would with fire or electrifying his body/parts of his body and then from there using the electricity as he pleases. Ettein cannot control electricity that he himself does not create, such as redirecting another electricity user’s attack, though he can absorb it for his own use and can drain objects of electricity to give himself a power boost (also he can accidentally short out electrical devises or drain them without meaning to when weak, ill or just from lack of control. He tends to occasionally accidentally shock people when touching them (like getting a shock from rubbing your feet against a carpet, nothing lethal unless done purposely), and can, with the right amount of control or even on accident, send smaller shocks through touch if nervous or otherwise excited if you catch my drift).

Longevity and Health: As a dragon Ettein has the potential to live far beyond the years of a human, thousands upon thousands even, if he survives that long. Going along with this, Ettein doesn't become sick as often as a human as his immune system is higher and it's unlikely he'd catch a human disease (when he does become sick it's usually pretty bad as he is prone to sneezing electricity as well as since he doesn't often become sick the few times he does it typically hits him pretty hard and in unusual ways compared to a human....such as it can have an effect on his abilities or put him out of commission so to speak for longer than your average cold). This by no means makes him immortal and he can be killed...it's just a bit more difficult to take him down than a human.



(I’m kind of making up my own thing with dragon species so it is not going to be how it is in Asian mythology where wingless dragons become winged ones (Ying Lung) over many years and am simply categorizing them as a winged Asian specie of dragon).

Ettein was born of two rival and highly powerful dragon families whom lived in a dragon community in Taiwan which was hidden from the human eye via magic. This community had been for centuries, hidden from the human world due to horrific past events which nearly wiped them out. Within this particular community were empires for different species of dragon residing in Taiwan and subcategories within them.The particular Empire Ettein comes from is ruled by the Chinese Ying Lung dragons and the Japanese Ying Lung dragons; the only two families among the Empire of which were pure of their sub specie. That is, until the only daughter of heir to the throne of the Chinese Ying Lung family fell in love with the heir to throne of the Japanese Ying Lung family. These two families, even though they both ruled the empire (the Chinese dragons were there before the Japanese who took refuge there from Japan and eventually worked up to hold power over the empire), did not exactly get along and disagreed with each other often, chose to divide the empire and rule their half as they pleased. Though, once the secret pregnancy between the heirs was made secret no longer, each family was disgusted by the fact that the two blood lines had been mixed and the young parents to be were targeted. The two had planned to bring the families together and start changing the ways of the empire when they took their places as leader on both sides but they never had the chance considering the pregnancy was found out by their parents before they had a chance to make it known to the general public of the empire. The two young lovers were separated and their parents agreed to banish the infant after birth as punishment and keep the tarnishing of their blood lines secret from the public to eventually wed their children to their own kind from distant empires. However, a decision was made to take more drastic measures to be sure the knowledge of this disgusting defilement never reached the public and the infant was the be executed privately and this whole ordeal buried along with it. However, during the day of the execution, as those within the royal household slept, one of the midwives that assisted the birth, kidnapped the child.

This particular midwife was actually a former student of SA, having left the magic boundaries of the community to study and learn of what was outside the confines of their community. During the time she was attending SA, she had grown fond of a particular instructor, becoming close to him in a student/mentor relationship and looking up to him greatly. Having returned to the empire and to her family, she was only made to work for the royal family of Chinese Ying Lung not by her personal choice but by request of the royal family. You see, this midwife had planned to get her and her family out of the community due to the oppressing way of life there but having been drawn into working for the royal family, she never reached her goal. However, through working with the family, she grew close to the young princess who had views separate from her parent’s and told her of the island and the fact that there is a whole other world out there with a different way of life and filled with so many more creatures. When it was declared her child was to be executed and she and her lover to never have contact with one another she begged the midwife to save their baby, to take him to this place she has heard from her many a time and to give him a chance at the life she had failed to do. The midwife couldn’t refuse the request and went through great lengths to sneak the newborn out of the empire; however she succeeded and made it to the island to hand the infant off to the one person she knew would undoubtedly take him in and give him a better chance than the one he was born into.

Reluctant at first, the teacher gave in and took in the infant dragon as more of a foster parent or teacher than anything. It was to be a temporary arrangement as the midwife had told the teacher of a plan she had to get both her family and the prince and princess out of the community to reunite them with their child. However, this to be temporary arrangement soon became permanent as communication between the midwife and Ettein’s guardian was lost. Raiden, as is the teacher’s name, wound up bringing Ettein up from infancy to teen-hood instead of giving him a temporary safe place to stay. Being a Parazoologist and Parapsychologist, Raiden is both a well-educated and open minded individual who brought Ettein up to have a similar mind set; open minded and understanding of others. Also, being of Japanese-American decent, Raiden did bring Ettein up in a bilingual and bi-cultural household where he grew up learning both Japanese and English as well as customs and traditions, both Japanese and American. This gave him both a sense of culture close to his own as well as one close to the majority on the island. Raiden also brought Ettein up in such a way that allowed him to make his own choices in such things as clothing, preferred music and hobbies and allowed him to discover himself instead of pressuring him to be a certain way or to be something he isn’t.

Even with such good upbringing, things weren’t always easy as Ettein questioned where he came from, who his real parents are, why he looks so different from others and many other things that had him conflicted. Along with this thoughts and questions came others such as his gender identification and sexuality. As a child he went through a stage of questioning himself and his gender identity as he confused having feelings for other males for making him feminine as well as his appearance for not really being a boy considering he looked kind of like a girl too. Having been homeschooled for the first years of his childhood made this time of his life easier. However, Raiden didn’t restrict Ettein to homeschooling and when the boy asked to go to the public school on the island, although iffy about it at first, Raiden allowed it. At the time Ettein was swapping between both female and male roles and more often than not chose an androgynous look. However, around fifth grade when he was beginning to favor male acronyms over female ones and began dressing more in male clothing than androgynous, and realizing he feels like he is male despite his attraction to other males, an incident happened which both scared him away from public school for the next several years and made him question himself all over again. He had been picked on one day, told he was too girly to be a boy and that he should just be a girl and that liking boys made him a girl along with other such cruel things middle school kids would say. This got him thinking that maybe they were right and being as upset as he was and confused at the time, he just wanted to be the correct gender and began to believe that he would only fit in as a girl. Because of this he nearly became one of those, ‘I tried to give myself surgery to fix my gender’ stories. Raiden found him before then however and put a stop to it, sat Ettein down and explained that liking boys didn’t make him a girl and he could be whatever gender he felt he truly was. After this he went back to being homeschooled by his guardian and learned from his near mistake and began accepting himself as he is. Through puberty it became clear that he is indeed male and his gender confusion was just that, a confusion and he became to accept his sexuality as well as figure it out for what it is.

Around the age of fifteen and when he gained more confidence in himself and a more mature outlook of things, he decided to give public school another try as he wanted to be more independent. After having made the decision to both go to public school and stay in a dorm, Raiden had taken up a job which includes a lot of travelling. Public school wasn’t easy to get used to at first, especially since it was the first time he’s truly been on his own but it didn’t take too long to figure out how to go about things to avoid uncomfortable situations and the like. Unfortunately this lead to a mostly solitary life-style as he avoided many people and social events both because of the fear of a fifth grade repeat and simply because he doesn’t really know how to put himself out there and socialize. Now Ettein continues his highschool studies at SA, looking to eventually graduate from here and move onto college to get into a field similar if not the same as his guardian considering that is where most of his academic interests lay.
