Full Body Reference

Ethel is a butchered mess. She doesn't bother to sew herself up in a way that hides her stitching. She has a stretched smile of thread along her jaw, many parts of her skin seem to have been graphed on, and her fingers were not her original.

Everything about her stands out as discerning or creepy. Her eyes are on the wider side and a strange blue, sometimes on the darker side, but in the presence of Fae magic they become nearly white.

Her hair is long and surprisingly silken given how hardened and dead the rest of her seems. Her hair, like her eyes, is a silvery white and falls just beyond her waist.

The obvious most notable feature on her is the Frankenstein Bolts at each side of her head, just above the ears. They're magical to anyone who can sense it.
Personality
❝It's not a nice job I know and it doesn't make me a good person. It makes me a monster, I will not try to deny this but sometimes to get things done you must make use of harsher methods, if none of you will do so, then I must. Though please try to give me a better solution, if you can then that's what we shall do....if not....stay out of my way. Sometimes what you need is a monster.❞ ― Andrew Smailes

Scientific in nature, she questions the how and why of everything and expects answers that are purely rational, rather than emotional.

She has the minimal emotional capability. Her passions are not healthy, and her love for people is the love of specific body parts. The categories she divides those she "likes" into are disturbing at best and murderous at worst.

Ethel has a passion for the art of surgery. Not so much healing people, but the idea of cutting and putting things back together right. She has a particular interest in eyes.

She isn't without her kindnesses. Her guidance is misguided and often contradictory to her personal goals. Ethel will dispassionately explain why a situation has gone wrong for someone, but if they aren't willing to take her advice, she is quick to give up on them.

Ethel is a workaholic, always striving to improve herself in all facets of life. She sees her lack of emotional capability as a plus and feels emotions are irrational things not to be listened to.

Ethel is not without her bits of humanity intact. Often, this humanity can be seen in the small, irrational things Ethel enjoys, such as flowers or classical music. She is more at ease in graveyards and gets irrationally upset when she sees flowers have died.
Abilities
Actives Thread Manipulation: Ethel can create and manipulate thread using her fingers. This includes cloth, metal, suture threading, etc. She cannot manipulate hair or thread that has been combined into a singular object (such as clothing.)

She wields these like they were an extension of her own body being able to flay, trip, bind, or pierce people. Unfortunately, the thread used is no more powerful than it was before she began to command it.

The strings she creates can stretch one way up to forty yards from her. This does not include: turns, traps, or tying people up, which would significantly shorten her range.

Passives Eldritch Physiology: As a Mi-Go experiment that was torn apart and put back together again over and over again, Ethel possesses the special ability to attach limbs to herself and treat them as if they were her own.

This ability works best externally. She can't use extremities that she has never possessed. For instance, Ethel could not use a tail or wings if she were to apply them to her body. She could pull each of her teeth out and replace them with sharper ones, or change her eyes, fingers, etc. and they would work as efficiently as if they were natural.

Ethel can give herself extra limbs. The process of applying new limbs to her body is relatively quick, taking anywhere from fifteen to thirty seconds, or at the very worst a minute..

Extreme Pain Resistance: The sheer amount of experimentation done to her body has left Ethel rather numb. Her pain tolerance is much higher than a normal person. She can be torn open, stabbed, shot, or have open surgery done on herself without any numbing agents and she will not be in threat of passing out and in any pain.

Fae Eyes: Ethel's eyes were acquired from a Fae belonging to Oberon's family.

Cosmetically, they brighten and turn nearly white when she is in the presence of powerful magic, Fae magic in particular. They also allow her to see who has been marked by the Fae and allow her to see through glamour (but not illusions.)

Ethel can see Fae magic and infer information much in the same way most other Fae can, by seeing and understanding key points to most Fae. For instance, she can tell when someone is Fae, or if they belong to a powerful court.

Functional Immortality: Ethel cannot officially die until her brain (which is no longer in her body) is destroyed.

If her body were mangled beyond belief, or if the metal plates on her head were destroyed her body would be rendered "lifeless."

If her body is destroyed, she can be recreated if the metal plates are still intact and attached to another source, as they are attached to her brain magically, transferring her mental information.

Physically, Ethel no longer ages and she doesn't require food or water, though she does have to sleep up to six hours a week.

Her blood is thick like sludge and smells of rot and infection. It tastes just as fetid.

Ethel's brain is kept in a jar of fluid and transmitters. This jar will always be in a twenty-mile radius from her position. It sticks out like a sore thumb when seen.

To permanently destroy Ethel is as easy as throwing this jar on the ground. To capture her would be to remove the transmitters so that her consciousness is stripped from her body.

Medical Weaponry Proficiency: Ethel has an innate understanding of both science and medical knowledge. While she doesn't learn new things in this field instantly, she learns them ten times as fast as any normal person could.

Ethel can efficiently use medical appliances in ways that defy the logic of the world (IE: using syringes as throwing knives, etc.).

The medical objects she uses don't gain any magic properties and are no more durable than they would be realistically, but what others consider impossible or impractical is an everyday occurrence with Ethel.

Mind Magic Resistance: Due to an Eldritch mentality, most can't break through her mental barriers, and those who do might live to regret it. To traverse Ethel's mind is to peer into the insanity and the abyss.

Telepaths will hear statics and the odd scream or other creepy sounds. Telepaths cannot mentally communicate with her.

Mind control will not hold, as Ethel is already under a powerful mind-warping magic.

Weaknesses Fae-Marked: Due to having stolen the eyes of Oberon's family member, Ethel has been marked as an enemy of his court, a rather powerful one amongst the Seelie. Safe to say, many Fae will not like her, especially those related to the Fairy King. This mark can be seen by all who have Fae blood.

Personal Obsession: Ethel is prone to obsessions. Most of the time, her fixation is set on eyes, expressly blue ones.

Her delusion is so that she even collects different eyes and mounts them on her wall so she can appreciate them. This can lead her to be less than careful and perhaps too interested in certain people.

But Ethel isn't only interested in eyes, she has an attraction to graveyards as well and at times has gone as far as to grave rob. She is also very taken with flowers, especially bright, lively ones. She becomes notably distraught when they die and is prone to fits of rage when seeing unkempt flowers.

Uneasy Presence: Ethel's presence is just wrong. When she's in an area, there is the general feeling of unease and dread. No matter how human she tries coming off, it's easy to see she's anything but. Her stare is too lifeless, her posture too stiff. A monster crawls under her skin.
History
○ Born as Veronica Muolly. Dughall, a fae of the Unseelie court, took an unhealthy interest in her and constantly attempted to coax her into Underhill.

○ Was kidnapped at ten by Mi-Go's and experimented on for a number of years until she was no longer human.

○ Later, Ethel would slowly kill the Mi-Go's on the ship and take over, only to return to Earth and meet with Dughall, whose eyes she stole.

○ Rumors of Starlight Academy brought her to the island around ten years ago.
Resources
As a school surgeon, Ethel makes good pay. She barely buys herself anything, though she does live in an old Victorian home that she shovels most of her funding into renovating. She is moderately well off.
Extra
○ Has a disconcerting collection of eyes in her lab which she pins up like one might a coin collection.
