So to start I'd like to say I am not sure where to put this, it's rather colloquial for a "plot" but also is a plot? Also, I'd like to know how this would.. work. As it is kinda major.
So I was apart of a RP community before this.. was very, very small. But long story short I ended up contributing by helping out with activity on my friends forum by creating like.. maps, geography landscapes on said maps, layouts for the buildings and even geology inquisition.
We do have a map of Manta Carlos, but I would like to know if me and others, if it gets to that point; can expatiate and get into the essence of the world. In example,
We have various areas, and even weather and what not is elaborated on. However, I came to realize when making layouts and getting into geology on my friends last forum; I really enjoyed doing so. Basically I was wondering if we can do like a exploration-themed campaign where our characters would go around the coast, or the land, and map out, noting cool and curious features of the region.
In example area's two and four. The Woods and Forbidden Forest. Are huge areas. And many many things can be expatiated upon and documented even. Such as what's in them, features, and other things. And what i really like about it, is that if more features and essence is made to these areas, maybe certain things may attract more people to RP in such section. Like a majestic waterfall once you go so deep within the Woods or something.
Im asking for the sole fact I am not sure if the mods, or whoever came up with the baseline for this world would be okay with us adding stuff to the world. And secondly, we'd be making stuff up as we go so.. not sure if we'd have to follow guidelines and whatnot.
Anyways, this half-plot idea and half-what's allowed kinda thing. Even if I do it alone I'll be just fine. I'm kinda geek for geography and geology. And like civil-engineer stuff when it comes to RPing. I feel the world's immersion is fortified when it's a lot of essence behind the world. Plus, it's something that can always be used and viewed. I know I don't even have a character yet but I had to get this question and sequence of ideas out my head. Was a bit engrossing.
