Another boring day in his empty dorm room. Well, not exactly empty. His bed had two black and white comforters, several pillows, and plenty of stuffed toys. A bed table was set up next to it with a colorful lamp and several different types of rubiks cubes (all completed), the bedside table was also set up with a small book shelf, that was filled to the brim with manga. A dresser sat at the foot of his bed too.

Today, instead of sitting at the desk that was set up in the room working on homework, he sat on his bed with his legs crossed, a stuffed purple teddy bear in his lap, his hand set on his knee, and a pink marker in hand, and a lollipop in his mouth.

He drew the marker over his hand, drawing the face, surprisingly, instead of a butterfly, he drew a simple looking bunny, with long ears and a lopsided smile.

Music played from a iHome set up on the dresser, playing music from the band Weezer, and Nine was humming along with it, as he drew on his own hand, attempting to keep the growing boredom at bay.

They’d given him a dorm room and a number of books he would need, bit it had all happened so fast, Ten didn’t know how to handle it. The books would be useless to him - he was eighteen and couldn’t read, something the rest of the students here seemed to be able to do with ease. He couldn’t help but wonder what a dorm room was, however; was that like his cell back at the lab? It must have been, since they said that was where he would be living... but Beta had promised this place would be different...

Sighing, Ten carried his single bag strung over his shoulder, deciding he would find out soon enough. He took a deep breath and squared his shoulders, holding his head high, long white hair flowing behind him as he made his way. He could read numbers, and he knew his alphabet; hopefully that would be enough to get him by.

Entering the room he had been assigned, Ten froze in the threshold, eyes widening at the sight he was presented with. Never before had be seen such an odd person, or heard such a strange sound. A single brow rose and he looked at the other with a look of disbelief.

“I thought these rooms were meant for boys,” he said smoothly, moving over to the free bed and setting his bag down. Ten wasn’t quite certain if that was what he was supposed to do, but he could guess.

He wasn't sure who would want to bug him and on a odd day but he didn't mind surprises at all and instead relished them as long as they were the good surprises. He had just finished his drawing on his hand and set the marker down when he heard the door opening. Feeling that surprise he looked up to see who it was that was entering in his occupied room to only see a boy who couldn't be more then a year or two older then him with long white hair.

Nine didn't deal with boredom well at all. And one would wonder what would happen to him when he lived in a dorm by himself. It wasn't pretty. He would be just about to jump out the window to find fun for even a moment before everything went splat. He couldn't even explain how he managed being stuck in a room alone. One would be able - or maybe not be able to imagine how he felt to be getting a room mate. Not that anyone told him, but why else would a strange man come into his room and carrying a bag of belongings. Well, he could be a creeper, as Nine could reason, but that wouldn't make much sense.

He took the sucker he had and dropped it into the trash at the side of his bed and tilted his head at the words that the other spoke, not particularly understanding what he meant. He couldn't help it if he was more oblivious on some things. He didn't think long on the meaning. If he didn't get it - since he thought his appearance fine, not really seeing the difference between the looks of boys and girls, it all seemed stupid to think of - and went to thinking on the fact that he would be having a roomie now.

“Roomie...” He whispered. He was silent until that moment and by that time the white haired guy was already by the empty bed and tossing a bag there. In a instant, something that couldn’t even be a second, Nine got loud again. “Yay! A roommate! This will be awesome!” And he proceeded to jumping off his bed quickly and leapt at the other, capturing the other boy in a tight hug like they were some long lost friends.

Refusing to let go he continued hanging off the other. “This is going to be so much fun. We can play games all night! And you look big and tough, you can keep the monsters away. I swear they exist but no one believes me!” Even though he tried to make himself sound exhasperated by what he said last, the overwhelming and excitement was still obviously there. “What’s your favorite game?” He pressed on. “By the way! I’m Nine!”
