Dani hugged her guitar.

"You break it..."

Dani took it gently and handed it to him. She gave him an evil stare.

"Your dead."

Dani lied. Of course, it was a joke.

Dev kept a serious look on his face and nodded. He put his fingers up scout style. "Scout's honor!" Of course, he had never been a scout, but she sure didn't know that.

Holding the guitar gently in his lap, He positioned his fingers and played a very short song. He grinned as his fingers went to the wrong strings.

Looking at her with slight shame, he asked, "Would you be so kind as to help me learn a song?"

Dani's eyes went wide.

"Oh no... Oooooohhhh no. I'm terrible at teaching these. You'll be worse thean you are now, no offense, after I'm done with you."

Dani pouted and sighed.

"My mom taught me, my Gramdma taught me too, but I'm not a teacher at all... I guess I could try thought."

She leaned over and held down a string at the top.

"This is A. And this," Dani held down a different one, ", is B." And so on and on. She held down to and strum the 6 strings. She took her hand off.

"Now you try."

Instead Dev held down all six strings and then strummed. He grinned. "Does this constitute as a...Z or something?" He asked.

Dani sighed.

"No. It's just a mumblejumble." She sat down. She stared at the floor instead of the ceiling this time. She sniffed and shook her head.

"Just try and play a song with the different things you know now."

Dev frowned, and asked in concern, "Have I done something to upset you?" He softly began strumming some notes.

Dani looked up and grinned, hiding her homesickness.

"No, I just miss my parents."

Dani admitted, watching Dev's fingers run over the strings.

"Nothing. I left." Dani looked down, guilty with herself. Remembering Dev was here, she smiled and looked up. "So what about your family?" She asked, masking her thoughts and emotion.

"Eh, they're at home." Suddenly he handed her back the guitar and stood. "I...uh, need to go."
