The distinctive inhale of someone 'pulling' on a cigarette was a mere whisper in the cacophony playing in the back ground. The end of the cigarette; once dull and a mere ghost of a glow in the in dark, came to life with a momentary red hot radiance. Its colored shadow cascaded up with the breath of life, fanning out about the face of the one responsible and cutting through the shroud of darkness from the shade of a lone tree. With lips parted, a flow of thick and dark smoke was exhaled and left to float lazily off and drift into nothingness. That was a nice notion wasn't it? To drift off into nothingness; something Draven had often wondered was possible. How come something so noxious as the fumes of nicotine could blend into the world and seemingly disappear but he could not? Envious of something that cannot be grasped, cannot be felt for, something that taints his very being; there must be something wrong with him. He smiled. There is something wrong with him.

The sound of shifting could be heard next; bark against clothing, clothing against skin and the slightest hint of a chain rattling. He stood; the lean physique of a young man who obviously worked out, seemingly manifesting out of the shadows. His lips were twisted into a sideways smirk that seemed to say, 'hello, I'm insane. Care to join me for tea?' Not that he liked tea; not in the slightest. A small snowfall of ash made a pile upon the ground as it was tapped off the cigarette, until the tip of a boot flattened and smeared it into an undetectable smudge in the dirt. A yawn filled the air as the teen stretched, cigarette hanging out of his mouth as he did so. He enjoyed the cool breeze under the shade of the tree a moment longer before crushing his cigarette out and stepping out of the shadow he was hiding in. As he walked away from the spot of his momentary solitude, a mask of indifference took hold of his expression. He crossed the grass of the front of the school and headed through the front doors; unconcerned with the fact that he wreaked of cigarette smoke.

He must have been quite the sight, donned in black drab on par with a wannabe rock star; piercings and ink galore. Though, he supposed he wasn't the oddest looking teen around here and the idea only further interested him. He let the door swing to a noisy close behind him as he eyed the hallways momentarily. He had already spoken to the counselor and dealt with the annoyance of new student papers and initiations. After all of that, he needed a cigarette and now he was simply meandering the halls. He'd chalk it up to boredom but in truth, he was completely and utterly lost.

Most of her day had been spent outside in the sun, playing in the stifling heat that could only mean summer was quickly approaching. Despite the fact that she was well into her twenties, the small girl simply couldn't shake off her childish personality. Exhausting most of her energy in exploring the campus, she headed back inside, headed towards her dorm, trying very hard to convince herself that she needed to do at least a little studying. She hadn't bothered with it for the past few days, preferring the company of friends and boyfriend. Her grades had suffered for it, and despite her carefree attitude, she knew she should probably focus her efforts.

Ania's attention was quickly derailed from her goal as she caught sight of a curious looking man, also headed indoors. He was tall, impressively so, and marked with what looked like tattoos and many piercings. Shamelessly, Ania trotted after this stranger, thinking hard to remember if she had ever seen him before. Deciding that no, she hadn't, her curiosity was immediately piqued. Pushing the doors back open, she paused as her nose twitched, her mind reacting to the scent of smoke and stale cigarettes. It was a unique smell, one she could sometimes find on her friends. She couldn't pin down the name of the scent, mildly unfamiliar with it's source. Unsure of how to approach such an intimidating looking stranger, she decided to address the first issue on her mind. "You smell funny."

At the sound of another's voice addressing him, Draven stopped in his tracks. His eyebrows furrowed when he realized what she said and he turned around. Though, he didn't react with anger and rather, gave a humorous laugh. Then he took a moment to take a whiff of his underarm.

"Suppose I do." He agreed with something of a playful smirk on his face. He gave her a quick sweep with his eyes, lingering on her breasts before making his way up to her own eyes. She certainly was interesting looking, though not his type, he decided. Not that he'd turn her down a quickie if it was offered. His wandering thoughts were put to a pause when he stepped forward, closing the distance between himself and the much smaller girl. He leaned in and gave her a whiff as well.

"Mmm...and ya smell good." He emphasized the ya, his grin only widening as he took a small step back, deep blue eyes locked on the other.

Ania's nose wrinkled up as the stranger smelled under his arms. She didn't quite mean it that way, and fidgeted a little self-consciously under his stare, folding her arms across her chest defensively. He didn't seem to possess very much shame, either. Her silvery hair tumbled over her shoulder as she tilted her head in confusion. "Do I smell good? I don't often ... Smell myself." Holding her wrist up to her face, Ania pressed her nose tentatively into her flesh, her eyebrows turning down into an unsure frown.

Dropping her hand back across her chest, Ania straightened, staring back at the man with her own wide ruby eyes. "Are you new, then? I've never seen you before. Why are you dressed like that? I like your piercings, you've got lots. Did they hurt? How many do you have? Are the ones on your face the only ones you've got?" Firing a load of questions out rapid fire, Ania finally stopped to pause for breath, the tip of her tongue poking out in thought, drawing for more questions.

Draven couldn't help but give a light chuckle at her reaction to him, having expected something more adverse instead. Though, his smirk fell into a thin line at the rapid fire questions. The first practically blew over his head but the ones about his piercings stuck. Once she stopped talking, his smirk returned.

"Nah, they aint the only ones I got." He promptly moves to lift his shirt to show off his other piercings; a ring in both nipples an this hips once on each side.

" Ya like 'em? I got more...but you'd have to come a little closer to see 'em." He gave her a playful wink, pulling his shirt back down and awaiting her response.

Her eyes widening, Ania made a face at the rings in his nipples. That looked an awful lot like it hurt, and especially what if you wore tight clothing? Her hands dropped, holding onto her own hips, wondering what it would feel like to pierce them. Shuddering at that thought, she pushed the idea of pain away, and did as she was bid.

Shuffling closer, Ania looked up at the man hopefully, the potential danger of getting so close to a strange man brushed right over her head. Her head tilting back significantly, Ania examined the stranger with wide eyes. She couldn't see anything different, stepping closer. Maybe it was hidden for some reason."Okay! Where are they? I don't see anything..."

Draven was momentarily taken aback by her response. He hadn't confronted someone quite like this before and usually received negative attention for his antics so this was both refreshing and a bit annoying. Though, the fact that she did come closer and gave him such an innocent look, prompted a fit of hysterical laughter from him. He gave her a pat on the head, trying to fight back the laughter which came to a sudden stop when he removed his hand from her head.

"Yer cute really," He started out. "But yer too dumb for yer own good." He couldn't help but laughing a bit more. Though it seemed completely cruel, this was his way of saving her from being further playing victim to his antics. Besides, it would be too easy and there was no fun in manipulating someone without a bit of a challenge. He had a feeling it wouldn't be too hard to persuade her into following him to his dorm or even nearby bathroom with as gullible as she seemed.

Pouting fiercely when she was denied her promise of more piercings, Ania swatted at the hand on her head. She wanted to see more piercings, not get petted. "But you said you had more to show!" It only made it worse that she was getting laughed at. Instead of turning tail, however, she poked at his stomach irritably.

"I'm not cute. Nor am I dumb! You're the dumb one!" In a huff, she set her hands on her hips, in a mood now that he had called her both cute and dumb. "Oh! You never said whether you were new or not." Completely forgetting that she was on the brink of a hissy fit, Ania's cloud passed, and she stepped back again, curious once more. "Are you lost? You look a bit lost."

Draven had to blink a few times at her rapid change in mood, immediatly loosing Unsure of how to react to that, he fell silent for a moment, scratching at the back of his head awkwardly. Just when he thought he had her figured out and a way to get rid of her, she bounces right back with the questions again.

"Yeah, yeah I'm new alright?" He answered, hooking his thumbs into his jeans pockets. Then he realized what she asked next and something of an annoyed twitch crossed his face. "And I aint lost." He defended himself.

Extremely pleased to have stumbled across a new student, Ania immediately pounced upon the opportunity. Since he was too tall to pounce literally, Ania had to make do without. "You sure look lost!" Bouncing in her excitement, Ania completely forgotten that she was supposed to be tired.

"You're lost! I've found you! Where did you come from? Lots of people come from off the island, I came from France, isn't that neat? I don't have much of an accent, though, I wasn't raised there. Where were you born? Do you have any powers? I'm so jealous of everyone with the cool powers, mine are a little dumb."
