As she surveyed her environment, she recognized several things from her previous logs. There were several [trees] around, as well as some new features. Rocks, flowers, a footpath... all of them were found in the courtyard. It sort of gave the robotic girl a warm feeling - finally, something she could recognize, that she was familiar with.
Activating fans.
Ahem. Now, to sort through the new data she had downloaded from the classroom port - something about mathematics. She stifled a laugh.exe prompt from her system. Please. VIOS-E was a robot, or at least her AI was - she was made of math. Or mathematical algorithms, to be more precise.
Honestly, it was a waste of time - why math was a "mandatory" subject was baffling. Didn't everyone know math already? All consciousness, to some level, was math. Another laugh, this time unstifled, as she finished her scan of the area.
"Analysis of terrain complete. Aesthetic: pleasing. Logg-gged as Courtyard.img," she said aloud, to no one in particular. Wow - even her vocal software was updated well, with the help of that being named Lucky. She had to admit - the human knew mechanical matters well. There were only a few glitches to her vocal program.
"Round the ragged rocks the rapid rabbit ran," she recited. An old tongue-twister she'd learned - very useful, indeed. If she ever went back to her home planet....
Delete memory.planet.exe.
Ah. Much better.
The better question to ask herself was - what was she doing out here, if not learning about the culture of the new environment and the beings in it?
