In order to take this class students had been graded on their ability to adapt details of language arts skills. Those that had were admitted to English Honors Composite studies. Basically what the title of the class was going to force the students to become fluent in English as well as Japanese, and Russian. The class was going to be hell but students who passed it would be able to take any other course and get into any program in the school that they wanted.
The reason Nakata had decided to teach the class was because of the American students primarily. Several of them showed great aptitude but they were, by nature of American school systems, only fluent in one language... English. In order to broaden their horizons, help them apply themselves, and provide an opportunity for the betterment of the future, Nakata had created a course so impossibly difficult that any student who passed it would be among the most desirable students in the world.
One of the students that had passed was technically cheating in that the nature of his abilities allowed him to simply download information, wirelessly at that, so that he could speak the languages. He'd be a shoe in for the U.N. translator contracts but not without something causing them to take notice. Others would undoubtedly fall into this category but others would have a true aptitude for linguistics. He didn't know what he looked forward to teaching the most but he looked forward to it anyway.
(OOC: feel free to bring anything you know about foreign languages to the table and share, i like to learn new things.)

Damien walked into the classroom and took a seat at the table. The test had seemed weird and he had been forced to download language processors into his e-brain in order to pass it. For an English test it was certainly in depth about other languages besides english... thus he figured the class was going to force people to memorize entire dictionaries worth of information of the language. Despite his intelligence Damien hadn't figured out that the class was going to be just an English class.
He hadn't bought any textbooks yet as the textbooks for the class hadn't been announced. In fact the description of the class had said that the textbooks would be announced in class. The teacher was the same person who had recommended that he take the class in the first place and who also taught science. Obviously the guy's life was dedicated to teaching because that seemed to be all he did from 6am to 9pm. Despite it all, he took his seat at the front of the classroom as that was the most logical thing to do and rested quietly waiting for class to begin in about thirty minutes at 11am.
