Bioluminescent Eyes - Echo's eyes glow an eerie shade of green. This is a result of bioluminescent bacteria growing inside her eyes. Her tribe used the glowing eyes as a means to find each other at close range. The glow is not bright, but certainly noticeable in the dark.
Tail - Her tail is similar to that of a Dolphins, though it has a longer and more flexible serpent-like appearance. The tail is powerful and allows her to swim at great speeds.
Fins - She has several fins along the length of her tail. as well as a pair of fins on her hips. These are used to assist in her water based movements, lending to her agility and speed.
Gills - Echo has gills located along her ribs for breathing. She can breathe in the air, though when out of breath she will often drink some water to flush her gills and give her a quick boost. When this happens the water will drain out the gills on her ribs, effectively soaking her shirt.
Ear - Her ears are not like what one expects from a humanoid creature. They are much larger and pointed out
Personality Description:
It's hard to describe Echo in a few words. She is both simple and complex in her personality, which in most cases seems to be childlike in nature. She is fond of playing or generally having fun. When given the chance she will splash around with people in the water, or even try to chase them around on land. She has little concern for how others view her and as such has no social limitations on her behavior. Most would consider her genuine and true, as she does not understand the concept of dishonesty.
She has a distrust of humans, as they were the reason she was pulled from her home and tribe. This does not stop her from befriending people, however, but it does leave her wary of strangers.
Species Abilities:
Water breathing - As stated above she has gills for breathing in water.
Echolocation - Much like dolphins or whales, Echo is able to use a sophisticated form of echolocation to establish where she is and see the world around her. Coming from the deepest parts of Marianas Trench, where light cannot reach, echolocation was essential to her people for their survival.
Sophisticated Taste Pallet - Unique to her people is a taste pallet so sensitive, that individuals can be identified by the taste of their blood. It's not uncommon for mermaids from the trench to nip or bite eachother as a form of greeting. The act is not malicious, but instead, allows them to identify who is who.
Able to Breath on Land - Echo has a primitive set of lungs that allow her to breathe on land. She can become winded easily however and will need to run water over her gills to catch her breath.

Human Legs charm
Marric Drakenhardt has gifted echo with a charm to allow her to shift her tail into a pair of human legs. The charm itself is an anklet that is worn around her tail. By touching the beads Echo is able to shift her tail too and from the new human legs. The charm itself grows and shrinks with her shape change, being able to fit both around her full-sized tail, and around the narrow ankles. Echo is by no means able to walk or run with any grace. In truth, she is incredibly clumsy and seems to trip over more things that she manages to avoid. However Walking on two legs grants her the ability to be seen when she is out on the street, making it safer for her in general.
Biography:
-Ecko Never had a name before coming to MC. She didn't even know who her actual parents were. In the deepest part of Marianas trench when a child was born, the entire tribe acted as a guardian to it. Children were never identified as having one parent or another, but rather to belong to the entire tribe.
-She lived a simple life, hunting with her tribe, fighting off the larger predators of the deep, and breeding when needed.
-She had always been curious of what existed above her and often would rise much higher than her people during hunts. She would use this a chance to hunt fish found at the mouth of the trench. It was during one of these hunts that she became snared in a net being dragged along the bottom of the trench by a fishing vessel.
-She did manage to escape before being hauled on board the ship, however, the netting had cut into her tail, and the escape had left her tired. In her condition, she was not strong enough to find her way back to her people. She allowed herself to drift on the current until she was eventually washed up on the shores of MC.
-She was nursed back to health by beachgoers over the course of several weeks. She enjoyed playing with the children as they splashed in the water, and chasing around the older swimmers.
-Now she spends her days hunting fish in the shallow water and playing with anyone who comes to the beach.

-Echo is almost blind, Her species evolved at the bottom of the trench, where light does not reach. The ability to see was not something needed for survival.
-Echo can crawl out onto land, moving her tail like that of a lamia. She cannot hold herelf upright however so she still needs to crawl with her hands.
-Echo is a biter, though she has no ill intent in doing so. Biting someone is the easiest way for her to know who she is interacting with.
-She has no ability to talk yet, though she will often mimic other people, or try to communicate with clicks and squeaks
-Has very limited, at best, understanding of human language
-Echo has produced three children, though she does not know them, nor do they know her.
