Face:
Ebviony has a rounded face, antennae like a butterfly, lengthy elvish ears, and black skin with cream, pink, and orange butterflies adorning it. The butterflies take different patterns depending on how they decide to present themself at the time. Sometimes they only have one big one on their cheek, other times they have many small ones covering half of their face. They also have cream-colored half-circles on their eyes. Their glowing eyes are almost white with pink butterflies for pupils and yellow-ish sclera.
Voice:
Ebviony has the voice you would expect from a child: young, sweet, and curious. The formal way of speaking and their use of words make it clear they are smarter than what their appearance may say, but their overall tone spells out how young they are. Their voice could be taken as either male or female.
Body:
Being a young child, Ebviony's build is petite and androgynous. They have black skin, often adorned with patterns of butterflies, two sets of arms, and beautiful and large butterfly wings.
Hairstyle:
Ebviony's hair is always styled in an afro with some kind of accessory accommodating it. The accessories are usually headbands, bows, clips, scarves, or anything that fits their particular outfit of the day.
Clothing:
Ebviony adores large frilly clothing. Classic lolita/ouji is the best comparison you can make. Most of the time they wear relatively androgynous clothing. As androgynous as you can get when they are covered in frills, bows, and other cutesy accessories. Once in a while you can see them wearing a dress on their more feminine days, but they find shorts or pants easier to move in and more stylish.
Personality
Poise:
Ebviony was raised to be as elegant as possible. Their posture is perfect, they walk with light feet, and when they stand still, they have a sweet sway. Their clothing is frilly and cute, made to be the finest for royalty, and they keep themself as well groomed as possible. When they speak, they have a soft, but cheerful voice that that fits perfectly with their cute smile. All the ingredients to being a lovely child.
Violent:
Ebviony is a violent person instinctively. Just being a combination of a fae and eldritch is bad enough on their psyche, but being raised to be a torturer only furthered their negative mindset. When things do not go their way, violent thoughts are what infect Ebviony first. If a problem cannot be solved by throwing a tantrum and shouting threats, it might as well not be solved at all. This is something they worked with their therapist though, so their tantrums are more restrained to them becoming whiny, crying, and then going somewhere private to throw a more aggressive tantrum where they cannot hurt people.
Intelligent:
Ebviony is wise beyond their years. Well, intelligent beyond their years. They have the academic knowledge of an adult and do not need any schooling. Their way of speaking is formal, though the cheerful and curious way they speak makes it clear a child is talking.
Childish:
For all of Ebviony's years of being alive and their knowledge, they still have the wisdom of a child. They are naive, prone to sudden bursts of emotion, and think in a very black and white way. You are either good or bad to them. On their side or against them. There is no in between and there will never be, and if you cannot accept that, that is your problem. While they can "mature" from these traits, they will always be mentally a young child, and that part of them will never change.
Biography
Ebviony cannot remember how they were born. It was likely from an unfortunate encounter with an eldritch by their fae mother. That was so long ago though, and their mother never attempted to explain. Explaining was not needed anyway. The Queene did not need to explain herself. She wanted a child, she got her child, and that was all that mattered.
Ebviony was trained to be a princess of the Danaus Court. A court that would kidnap lost children from the human world and house runaway fae children in Underhill. Originally the court was to satisfy the Queene's desire to have the perfect child herself, but the children would grow up and show a desire to leave her no matter how hard she tried to create the perfect environment for them. When Ebviony came into existence, a child of her own blood who would never grow up, those who lived in the court thought things would get better.
The Queene raised Ebviony to be the perfect child. Poise, elegant, beautiful, soft-spoken, playful, and smart. They were raised for another reason too: to serve the Queene by keeping the court safe. The Queene was aware of the power Ebviony had from their eldritch heritage and had full intention of using it. Any child who disobeyed, a fae who overstepped their bounds, or anything else a Queene found offensive, they would be sent to Ebviony. There they would be mutilated beyond logic, yet Ebviony did not have the power to kill them. When the Queene was satisfied, they would either be killed by the Queene or kept by Ebviony until they became bored, and only the children had the chance to be released back to the outside in the court as obedient kids.
That was how things continued for years. Ebviony could not say how long things went. Their age was no longer kept track of after it became clear they would not age older than around five or six years. Things only changed when they were given the assignment to kidnap children themself. The assignment excited them immensely. They had ventured to other courts with their mother, but they never got to go anywhere by themself. The human world must have been safer for them to be allowed to go alone.
Overwhelmed with their assignment, the situation went wrong almost immediately. Their abnormal appearance scared off most of the children before they could take them back, and their small and weak physique only added to their difficulties when they *could* catch the child. With the scene Ebviony was making, the veil was quickly alerted and sent to take Ebviony back to Manta Carlos.
There they received intense therapy and were cut off from the Queene. For some time, they were given a nullification bracelet that shut off all their powers, acknowledging how violent their temper tantrums were when combined with their abilities. After about five years of therapy on the islets, Ebviony was released from the islets. They still continue to get therapy and were said to be safe enough to no longer need a mandatory nullification bracelet, but they are expected to keep theirs on and they have a guardian (NPC) in the background to watch them.
Already having an education and having finished their cultural classes on the islets, they did not need to go to Starlight Academy for classes, but they were strongly recommended to join clubs and partake in events for a better socialization experience.
Powers
Mutilation - Coming from their eldritch side, Ebviony is a master at torture. They instinctively know how to use any equipment in their possession to be most efficient at torturing a person physically and mentally. This gives them the instant ability to know a person’s weakness and strengths when they target them for torture. This only works for one person at a time, they must be in the process of torturing a person to know their weaknesses and strength, and when they are finished they will forget everything they learned about the person that they did not know before they started the torture. However, no matter what they do, they cannot kill a person. This works in their favor. Their job is not to kill, but to make their victims suffer. No matter how implausible it is for their victim to stay alive during their torture, they will not die unless someone/something else kills them without them directly or indirectly contributing. This will also negate regeneration abilities, though someone/something else damaging a person will break them out of the negation and allow them to heal again.
Butterflies - Ebviony can off take the butterflies on their body and attach them to the bodies of others to cause their victim pain that feels real. The more butterflies they attach to the person, the stronger they become. They can only target one person, attach up to 10 butterflies, and the pain will disappear immediately after the butterflies do. The maximum time limit for these butterflies is 10 minutes, but with each new butterfly, a minute is taken off. One butterfly would be a dim pain (similar to your entire body being lightly pinched) for 10 minutes. 10 butterflies would be 1 minute of excruciating pain where you can barely move. After attaching 10 of their butterflies, Ebviony will need to wait a day to reuse this ability, but they can still summon other normal butterflies.
Species Abilities
Butterfly Physiology - Ebviony comes from a court of fae with a butterfly theme. They have antennae, two sets of arms, and large beautiful butterfly wings that allow them to fly. In addition, they can cause butterflies (minimalistic, detailed, or stylized) to appear on their body, ranging from cream, pink, and orange in color. These butterflies can be taken off of Ebviony to be under their orders, but they can only make enough to fit in a small refrigerator every twenty minutes. They can also see through these butterflies with a distance of 20 feet. Nearby butterflies will be attracted to Ebviony and try to follow and surround them, as well as protect them if needed.
Unnatural Aura - Something about Ebviony is just wrong. People around them feel disturbed when they're in the room and have the urge to stay away. When they see Ebviony, they will not see a harmless (albeit exotic-looking) child, but what just may be a humanoid abomination. The closer you get to Ebviony, the stronger this feeling of them being an abomination becomes. The further you are, the weaker it becomes. This aura extends about 20 feet around them.
Shape-Shifting - Ebviony can change their sex (male, female, or neither), change the shape and contents of their mouth (sharper teeth, skinnier tongue, etc.), change the shape of their nails, and minorly shift their body and facial features only for the intent to disturb.
Immortal - Ebviony was born from an eldritch and a fae, though for some reason, they cannot age physically or mentally past what seems to be around the age of 5 or 6 years old, even if they are academically ahead for their age. Damage heals instantly to a few hours depending on how small and large they are. Death results in Ebviony turning into cream, pink, and orange butterflies. After about 3 days, the butterflies will reemerge and they will take the form of a chrysalis. After about a month, they will be back to their usual form. Regeneration takes the form of cream, pink, and orange butterflies taking the shape of their damage body part before returning to how it was before.
Sensitive - Ebviony cannot handle pain whatsoever, both mental and physical. Like a young child, even the smallest of wounds will give them strong emotional rises (specifically, fear, anger, and sadness). Lightly hitting their knee on a table will feel like a hammer slammed down on them, and calling them “weird” will make them feel extremely insulted and threatened. The only time they will not feel pain is when they are hurting themself. Pain from an indirect source (someone/something not purposely trying to hurt them) will not hurt as much, but will still be very painful. Pain from a direct source (someone/something purposely trying to hurt them) will be like absolute torture.
Fae Debts - Ebviony is bound by the debts they make. This includes thanking people. They are bound by a specific debt until it has been paid. Magic makes them agree to a request when they are bound, so long as the request is equal to the debt they owe.
Unable to Lie - Ebviony cannot lie. While they don't always have to be honest, telling an outright lie will strip the magic they have and leave them powerless.
Diet - Ebviony feeds on the fear and pain they give other people and nectar. They cannot eat any other food; although, for some reason (or perhaps because they are a child), they can eat sugary food (candy, dessert, etc.) with no problem. Anything else will force them to vomit and have a long period of nausea after. The most effective way to make Ebviony sick is to feed them vegetables. It will be absolutely disgusting and leave them bedridden for a week to a month with bronchiolitis-like symptoms.
Nullification Bracelet Ebviony has a nullification bracelet that can be taken off and on. It turns off all of their powers but is specifically used to turn off their aura. Ebviony is expected to keep this bracelet on, and currently, it is being used to test how obedient she will be to the rules of the island and how considerate she is towards other people.
