Everything had all happened so fast. one moment she was talking to Bradley, and the next she was on the floor experiencing sharp contractions. it was still a couple weeks early, but there was no doubt about it, Lily was on the way.

Aylin let out a deep moan as she clutched the underside of her tummy. She was on the floor now, waiting for Brad to come back. he had run to the other room to grab a few things for her by her request. we have lots of time, that's what she had told him. Please, I need a few things, I can't do this without them. that had been her argument. There wasn't much she had actually needed, a bag of clothing, and that was it. But it Gave Brad something to focus on and think about. a task to keep him calm.

The contraction began to let up and she straightened herself up and lifted back off the ground. In the kitchen, she went through her own mental checklist. Keys for the Vehicle, check. the oven was turned off, check. on the fridge was a list of numbers that needed to be called on the way to the hospital. It included Brad's mom, Narraine, the Hospital, and the academy. Once everything was done they could call everyone else.

"Sweetie... I think we are good." She called out to Bradley. everything here was going to be ok. she didn't wait for him to respond before picking up her phone, and slithering towards the door while dialing the number for the hospital. it took a few moments to actually get through the menu's before she was directed to the ER department. "Manta Carlos Hospital ER. How can I help you?" the nurses Voice chimed in. She sounded like an obscure mix of excessively happy, and apathetic at the same time.

"Hi. This is Aylin Arore, and I think I am having my baby. We are on our wa-" She wasn't able to finish the sentence before another contraction started, bringing the Lamia to the floor as she clutched her tummy. She could hear the nurse on the other end of the line, telling her in that same happy apathetic voice that she needed to come in, and asking her how far apart the contractions were. At the moment Aylin was not entirely able to respond as she let out another moan. "Owwwwww.... Owwwwww.... I'm not ready. I'm not ready." She muttered as she looked around for Brad.

"They are...seven, Maybe 8 minutes apart..." She managed to mutter into the phone as she tried to breathe her way through the contraction. "I'm supposed to tell you that I'm a Lamia and I weigh over a thousand pounds. The doctor said that was important." She moaned as the contraction began to let up. Naturally, her size and weight made a huge difference in things. for starters, it meant if pain killers were needed that she was going to need a heightened dose. It also would allow the hospital the ability to prepare facilities that could accommodate her size properly and safely.

she took her time straightening up as the contraction began to let up. Luckily at this point Brad had arrived with the bag of clothing she had asked for. She smiled, still holding the phone as he scooped her up, bridal style, without missing a beat. "We're on our way." She said into the phone before ending the call. They were already out to the Vehicle by this point, and Aylin was shocked at how well Brad was handling things. He wasn't faltering or losing his head. It was all so smooth and easy. It made her feel better knowing he had things under control. A quick look back at the house revealed the door was still open, and as she settled into the seat of the vehicle, she had meant to say something, but he dashed back as if he anticipated her thought and locked up. Moments later they were both buckled in and on their way.

On the way, Aylin called her school to let them know that she was going to the hospital and her courses would need to be held for a while till she could come back. The admin she spoke with wished her luck and promised that everything was going to be ok. The next call had been during a contraction and it had been to Bradley's mother. The call went about as well as she expected, with her future mom giving her some last minute advice, while she got ready to meet them at the hospital. Be it the hormones, the pain, or just her own bundle of emotions Aylin suddenly began crying as she told Bradley's mom that she wasn't ready. This was met with a kind laugh, as his mother explained that that meant it really was time. Finally, after the emotional call ended, Aylin managed to Dial Narraine and explain what was going. As she expected her sister began to freak out, and dropped her own phone, causing the line to go dead. If not for the onset of another contraction, this would have caused her to laugh.

"Ok... I've called everyone. I think Narraine broke her phone. Mom is on the way, and the hospital is expecting us. We are good." She managed to moan as she winced through the contraction. Despite the pain, she couldn't help but smile as she began to focus on her breathing rhythm. In, In, in, Out. She chanted in her head as she huffed along.

Before long they arrived at the emergency entrance of the hospital, and Bradley, in true hero fashion was out the door and carrying her inside without a moment of hesitation. There was no rush, but at the same time, there was no time wasted. He was determined and efficient. And even now while she could have slithered in under her own strength he still carried her as if she were his everything.

The ER waiting room was full, but waiting by the triage station was a rather hefty looking wheelchair with a solid platform on the bottom for her tail. he placed her in it as the nurses wheeled her towards the delivery section of the Hospital. He was going to catch up to her soon, he just needed to part the vehicle properly and grab her things. In the meantime, she needed to try and fill out paperwork between contractions as she was taken to Labor and delivery.

They had already figured out months in advance that a water birth would be the best way to go. the warm pool of water would help keep her system active through the delivery and would help take the strain off her body. by the time Bradley arrived Aylin was already in the small pool enjoying the feel of the warm water despite the contractions that had now moved up to 4 minutes apart. he hadn't even waited before rolling up his pant legs and sitting on the edge of the tub behind her. He had a leg on either side of her, and his hands rested on her shoulders reassuringly. "You ready hun? Doctors say it's going to go fast." She said with a smile as another contraction caused her to stiffen up. It wasn't going to be long now.

***************************DELIVERY***************************

It had been almost two hours from the point that they arrived at the hospital, to the point where the actual Delivery had taken place. Everything had happened smoothly and by the books. even the Nurses had remarked that it was a surprising textbook Delivery. Before the actual Nitty Gritty had occurred, Both Narraine and Bradley's Mom had arrived and spent a few moments in the delivery room sharing the moment with Brad and Aylin, before being ushered out for the final moments.

Baby Lily Barbie Arore-Davis. Born April 3rd at 4:03 pm. three feet and eight inches long, and a massive 34 pounds. sixteen days premature, but entirely healthy in every way.

Aylin Lay exhausted, holding a bundle of blankets to her chest. Small Cooing could be heard from within the bundle, and every sound only forced Aylin's tired smile to widen. "We did it... We actually did it." She whispered to Bradley who had taken a seat next to her on the bed. She was struggling to fight back her tears of joy as she pulled back the edge of the blanket to look at the black and yellow hair infant. "She is perfect..."

((OOC: This thread is open to close friends and family who want to stop in and see baby Lily.))

The past few hours were almost surreal, but not all that surprising. He thought they'd still have a couple more days to wait for Lily's arrival. There were still things he was thinking of adjusting for her and looking into once again. For the time being though, the demigod was just enjoying being a full grown adult and having his memories for the most part functioning normally. March felt like it had happened ages ago in spite of its events concluding just days ago.

It all happened so fast, from Aylin telling him she was expecting, to the actual birth. It all felt like minutes to him. But here they were, all three of them together. He slid his chair as close as he could to the hospital bed putting an arm around Aylin and gently placing another on Lily. "She's got my color scheme with your face if we aged you back by like, a lot," he smiled and yawned. It had been a day, even running a butcher shop couldn't quite compare. This was more satisfying. He moved and kissed Aylin on the cheek.

"So there was one thing that kinda got put on the back burner thanks to last month's fiasco. Then a certain someone decided they needed to be born because Dad was finally back," the demigod stood up and stretched. He still wore a warm smile on his face. They'd both waited long enough, between toskada, his mother's nagging, and his own nerves. He got down on one knee, pulling out a small box as he did so, popping it open to reveal a simplistic but also impressive ring.

"Aylin Arore, will you marry me?"

It was hard to think that this moment could be topped. They were here, after nine long months of waiting, the three of them were finally together as a family. There was not even a moment in the Lamia's memory that could compare with how she felt now. Satisfied, complete, peaceful. All of this was like a dream. A happy, wonderful dream that she never wanted to wake up from. IN her own mind there was nothing else she could have wanted... Aside from one final thing...

She was confused for a moment when Brad stood up. It had been so sudden, her first thought was that he was going to exit the room and come back with something. But, he didn't leave, he just got down on one knee. She blinked for a moment as her mind caught up to what was happening. Her heart raced, and tears welled up in her eyes. She wasn't sure what this was, but it looked like... Aylin held her breath as he spoke that one simple question.

It was amazing to think that words held such power. In her own world, they were used to bend the elements and cast spells. They could end lives in an instant. But here... In this place and moment words had the ability to do far more. They could start a life. A simple question and its answer could start a life for a family and meant the promise of a future.

"Aylin Arore, will you marry me?"

The box was open now, revealing a ring. Simple, but brilliant all at once. She blinked again, tears escaping her eyes and running down her cheeks. Words had failed her, as she looked from Lily to the ring to Brad several times over. Slowly her head began to nod, as her mouth widened into a smile. The nodding sped up, and it seemed her heart was racing to keep up.

"Yes... Yes... Oh, Bradley. Yes, I will... I really will..." She managed to stammer through happy tears. She had been holding Lily with her right hand and she reached out with her left to touch Bradley's face.
