There was a pause on Eein's end. "Wha......nu," he'd cough, continuing to walk. "Is fine, I'm good," he'd say, not really sure what to say.

He'd grunt as his foot caught on another rock, almost making him trip again. "Gonna be home, so...ye, is all good."

Fweiu didn't know what the legal drinking age was on Manta Carlos. She also didn't care, so it kind of evened out. Either way she could tell Eein was bullshitting her.

"You need to learn to drink in moderation, Eein. Didn't anyone teach you that?" Getting completely drunk was shameful, but getting buzzed was fine. That was how Fweiu looked at it. "If you get too drunk, you do stupid things, like lying to the Rukt'In Chief over the phone. "

"Fweiuuuuuuuuu," he'd say, sounding like he whinning just a tiny bit. "Is all go....y'know....jus a little bit." He'd grunt as his foot caught another rock, with him cursing as he almost trips.

The cursing was followed by a clattering noise as he dropped his phone. "Fweiu," he'd say as he managed to pick the phone back and up and talk into it.

"Uh......watcha doin?" he'd ask, his tipsy mind wandering some as he walked.

"Right now?" Fweiu finished lacing her shoes. Her phone was on speaker and held up on a floating icy platform. "I'm about to go out and find you. To make sure you don't fall off a cliff and get eaten, while you're impaired like this. Because my people are my responsibility, and you are one of my people."

Was it because Eein grew up with the television and the social media? That must have had something to do with it. The hatchlings who grew up in their homeland didn't behave like this.

Before Eein could object, Fweiu was heading outside, ready to launch herself into the air and start gliding. It helped that she didn't have anything better to do, and she kind of liked this little shit.

"Fweiu?" he'd ask into the phone, not getting an answer he'd slip it back into his pocket and start walking again. Before long he heard the beating of wings and a small thump, he'd turn around to see the chief.

"Fweiuuuuuuuuu?" he'd ask, squinting a bit at her. "Wat.....wat er.....what er you doin?"

He'd take a few unstable steps towards her, still squinting at the elder dragon. The intoxicated dragon clearly wasn't coherent.

Fweiu huffed, cold mist pouring out of her mouth.

"Making sure you get home safe. Now, come on."

She would drag him home. Or, if he didn't want to go home, she would drag him to her own home to sleep it off. Either way. As long as he didn't nearly kill himself again.
