When Amaya had found out about her uniform, Yuki had to restrain her from tearing it up or setting it on fire. It contained one of the most abysmally fiendish types of clothing Amaya had ever had the displeasure of coming across in her three short years.

A skirt.

It was almost as bad as if she were to be forced to wear a dress. For a while, Yuki couldn't even let her near her uniform, because Amaya kept trying to deface or destroy the skirt portion. Finally, Yuki managed to get her into a compromise: Amaya could wear tights under her skirt and she could bring with pants or shorts to change into right after class. After two days of stubborn arguments and failed negotiations, Amaya realized this was the best deal she was going to get. So, this morning, she'd tossed on a black turtleneck and tights underneath her skirt and her shirt for her uniform. Her fingerless gloves, of course, she would not part with, and Yuki didn't ask her to. She also got to wear black lace-up boots that came halfway up to her knees, which, at four foot seven, wasn't very high. The raised soles, however, added two inches onto her size, which she was very happy about. Any excuse to seem taller was a good excuse. Plus, Yuki had done a great job covering her pentacle scar on her cheek with black makeup for her today, making it look like a professional tattoo.

About an hour before it started Yuki walked her to school (and caught her trying to sneak spray paint and a hammer out with her; she had wanted them with just in case she didn't feel like staying the whole day so that decided to vandalize the school) and brought her into administration, drew color-coded lines on her map for her, helped her figure out where she needed to be and when, and by the time he'd managed to illicit certain promises on her behavior from her, the first class had already been in session for three minutes. He guided her to the door and had her knock, where, her face bright red, she had to walk into the room in front of everybody she didn't know, and then she had to stand there while she was introduced to the class as "October" (no last name given, thankfully) and the person called a teacher (oldest person in the room, it seemed like, and the one with the most apparent authority) went on to say that "October is a mute, meaning she is incapable of or chooses to not speak for reasons of her own choosing. I have been informed that in October's case, she is essentially incapable of speech because of a problem with her vocal cords, but it does not mean she is any less intelligent than the smartest person here."

Afterward, Amaya, who had been steadfastly glaring aggressively at the class with a tight-lipped scowl on her face (thank fuck her throat was hidden by her turtleneck; she'd noticed one or two of them looking at the pentacle on he cheek, or at least they seemed to be) she was sent closer to the back to sit at a desk which, as she neared it, was next to the person who she'd met in the snowstorm. She stopped and looked at him in surprise as she tried to remember his name for a moment. Milk... Malk... Malek! That's it! She waved a hand in greeting and then sat down at her desk, backpack in front of her legs, which were firmly together as she smoothed her skirt as flat as it could with a flushed face. I fucking hate skirts.

Malek sighed and stared out the window, his first week of school was hard and it didn't make it any easier that he agreed to watch over a girl he met in a snowstorm. I've done stupider things....yea I remember when I- Malek's train of thought was broken when he heard the teacher's words rang in his ear. October is a mute, meaning she is incapable of or chooses not to speak for reasons of her own. Malek turned his head to see the girl he met in the snowstorm. He originally thought he was going to have to seek her out but apparently she was in his grade and class. Malek showed the same surprise October did when she saw him, when she waved her hand he simply gave a small wave back before looking down and writing something in a small, old, leather bound book. It read Apparently 'Bear' or as the teacher called her October is in my class. Maybe I should get her something to show my friendship and as an apology?

Amaya tried really hard to be disinterested and to not learn anything. She did, really. She tried not to be surprised at all. But less than an hour in and she began to understand what Yuki meant when he told her, "I'm only teaching you the basics, just enough for you to catch up and be able to attend to your own interests as your further you education. Your functionality within society depends on what you choose to learn. Where I am sending you, that is where you will learn these things that allow you to become an independent adult, even if they seem to mean nothing. These three years with you, I have done my best, and certainly your own instincts have proven your intelligence, but ultimately, where you are to go is necessary for you to become an adult. Although, admittedly, it shall wind up being more about the experience and how you choose to attack it, albeit peacefully, and without weapons, mind you, that shall determine your future as fate deems fit."

Though she wasn't happy about it, by the time the "lunch hour" came about, Amaya had to admit she'd learned things Yuki hadn't been able to teach her. During her break, she was asked by the teachers to fill out some things in the teacher's office, mostly just paperwork she hadn't previously signed because today was the first day she'd actually been in the school. She spent the day getting things like school uniforms and being informed of certain rules regarding magic and abilities, more to make sure she knew them rather than anything else. Most of them she'd had imposed on her by Yuki anyway, so she knew the majority of them.

Back into the flow of things after the "lunch break", Amaya began to start taking notes on things she thought were important. It was confusing how they kept switching from topic to topic every hour. History, Language, Numbers.... notes seemed like the only way she'd be able to keep them straight. Certainly it was frustrating, and definitely confusing, and about halfway through the first class after "lunch break" she started sucking on one of her antennae to avoid getting a headache. If every day was going to be like this, she wasn't sure if she'd be able to handle it. Rather, she was absolutely certain if it was like this every day, she'd rather go through Yuki's "special" training sessions. It made her want to cry, but then mentally, she remembered, I'm Bear, remember? I don't cry. I just beat the shit out of them if they tick me off.

Finally, the last class of the day ended, and Amaya sat back with a sigh and closed her eyes for a brief moment. Finally! First thing I'm gonna do is find a bathroom so I can get out of this fuckin' skirt! She took her time packing up her things until most of the people were out of the classroom- they seemed to take off as if the building was about to start on fire, and sure as hell, Amaya certainly didn't blame them- and finally as the room seemed just about empty and with all her stuff put away she stood up to leave.

Malek stood behind her, a soda in hand. It was more of a peace offering than anything. As she was about to leave Malek tapped on her shoulder and began to speak "Hey October, I just wanted to apologize about touching your antennae and well, everything that happened during the snowstorm. I hoped we could be friends so I got you this." Malek extended the hand that held the soda, on it read CHERRY FIZZ! It was one of the best drinks Manta Carlos had in Malek's opinion. His face was flushed, he had been alone for some many years he didn't really know how to 'approach' someone for friendship. This was how you could trust someone in Malek's dragon clan before...well the purge so he just followed what he knew.

When her shoulder was touched, Amaya just about turned around and slugged the face in of whomever it was. When it turned out to be Malek, she managed to restrain herself. Then he brought up touching her antennae, and her face turned red as she once again just about slugged him for being so forward. Still, she remembered one of the promises she'd made to Yuki and, luckily, she restrained herself some more. When she saw the can, she frowned and she stared at it in thought: she'd often seen other people drinking things like that, but Yuki had always expressly forbid her from it. It was one of the things he'd never actually explained why, he'd just told her it had to do with her being what she was. Well... what he doesn't know won't get me in trouble, right? And actually, I've always wanted to know what the forbidden drinks taste like.....

Quickly, Amaya pulled out her notepad from her backpack, wrote out a quick Thank you!!! which she showed as she put it on her desk and then she took the can and opened it like she'd seen other people do. Before he could stop her, she tilted her head back and took a large drink of it. Of course, after slamming and swallowing near a third of the can, here eyes opened wide and started to water, and she coughed. It's... um... fruity, but not, and...and it's really good, and....wait.... She shook her head; was there something wrong suddenly? She wasn't sure but there was something different and something odd she couldn't quite place right away. She looked around; certainly something was wrong; she wasn't sure what, but she felt thirsty again and tipped back and drank more of the "Cherry" thing Malek had given her. This time, she couldn't definitely tell something was off; she felt really warm, and her head felt fuzzy, like if she had it up against a cat....

She giggled, silently, her mouth open a little in a strange smile. Maybe I should act like a kitty tonight... Then for some reason the desk next to her moved- no, wait, she'd moved, swayed a little to the side, and she'd realized her skirt was still on. Her nose wrinkled. Skirts. I hate skirts. Frowning, she immediately reached down and unfastened her skirt, letting it drop to the ground, before she threw her hands up in a cheer with a grin. In the process, she'd forgotten to put down the can of soda, and by tipping it she'd dumped the remainder, about a fifth of the can, on her tights, boots, and skirt.

Whether for good or for bad, these certain things were true: she and Malek were the only two people in the room now, even the teacher having left, her face was rather flushed, her sense of balance off, her eyes rather blurry, and it was only because her shirt and turtleneck came down so far that she had avoided exposing a good view of her black underwear through her tights of the same shade. Though, she was already losing her balance, and if she took a step with her skirt down, certainly she'd trip. What Yuki had neglected to tell her, and what she couldn't realize, was that soda pop made October drunk.

Malek watched as October drank the soda and watched her facial expressions. "Is.....something wrong October?" But as Malek soon realized, everything was the opposite. As October unfastened her skirt and let it fall to the ground Malek instinctively sprinted to the door and slammed it shut, the force he put on it crushed the door knob, making it insanely difficult to re open if anyone tried. He sighed and turned around, noticing October was about to fall. He quickly ran back to her and caught her in his arms. Well that was Malek thought happened, what actually happened was that he tripped and fell onto the floor and October landed on top of him unharmed. "What the bloody hell are you doing October?!" This wasn't like her, this definitely wasn't like her.

It took Amaya a moment to realize she'd fallen on something soft. Then she sat up with a grin, hunched over a little. Oops! I fell! She made her soundless little giggle again, something that tended to make her body shake a little, something that was hard to notice unless one was in physical contact with her. Then she realized she was looking down, and that she was on something, and that was a boy. She felt herself sway again at that as her eyes started to droop. Awww.... he let me sit on him. How nice.....

For some reason it still seemed too warm in the room for her. Quickly, she reached up and unbuttoned her shirt, which slid off down to her elbows, leaving her mostly in her turtleneck and tights, the turtleneck not quite long enough to function as a dress on its own. That's when Amaya felt something strange, and in the back of her mind she realized she was sitting on a boy. Umm.. a boy... isn't there something you're supposed to do with boys?... But it's Mal-...Mul....Milk. Milk! Oh, yeah, I'm a kitten today! As soon as she remembered that she was going to be a kitten today, she slumped forward, then stuck her butt up in the air. Her button-up outer shirt had slipped off one arm, and she now balanced herself on her legs on either side of Malek's legs and her right arm as she formed a cup with her left hand and formed a soundless meow. Then she leaned forward to nuzzle and then lick Malek's face all over. Kittens like milk! Yum!

Malek went silent for a moment, he couldn't see what October was doing but he knew it wasn't good. Now why is this happening to h-OH BLOODY HELL WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?!" This quick shout in his mind was due to something very unexpected. Malek started to feel a tounge on his face. He was able to flip his body over and see what was going on and was quickly greeted by another lick. "Why.....are you....doing.....this.......to me....OCTOBER?!" The pauses in his speech were due to the intervals of licks October gave him. His face was completely flushed, this was the first time this had happened to him in.....well.....this was the first time.

Almost right after he said her name, for some reason she felt a silent giggle-shudder and her tongue withdrew- right as her lips passed over his. In the brief moment their lips touched, she paused as something pinged in her mind. Ohhh.... Now I remember what you're supposed to do with boys. Her lips still touching his, she giggle-shuddered again, but then jumped a little and rolled off him to the side, looking at her backpack in confusion, which seemed to have begun a series of small vibrations. She was trying to remember something, but the vibrations of her phone Yuki had given her with his number stopped before her thoughts could connect, and then she sat up in slight confusion for a moment.

What am i.....what was I...... everything seemed to be a little unstable, and though it took her a couple seconds, she managed to get a hand on a desk and stand herself up. Or, at least, she raised herself up halfway before she saw on a corner of a desk there was a familiar red can. That...I know that.... that's something that tastes good. She reached for it, and quickly, she popped open the top of the can of CHERRY FIZZ! before she arched backwards to drink it, though she managed to spill a quarter of it on her turtleneck and more on her tights in the process. As she drank, her mind became a little fuzzier, and the blush in her face deepened.

Done with it, she dropped the can on the floor with half-closed eyes and a wide smile, wiping her mouth. Oopsie.. bad manners... now I can't wear these. Nearly falling over from standing up, she grabbed the top of her tights and was about to push them down when she heard a noise, turned, and spotted Malek. Oh... it's Milk.... that's when she remembered what she'd been doing before her bag had vibrated, and she shudder-giggled again. I know what you're supposed to do with boys. She made her way over to him and reached for the waistline of his pants.

Malek asked the question a second time and so got cut off by his lips meeting hers. The blush on his face was bright red, it was completely uncalled for. When her lips parted from his he immediately sat up. Did......did she just kiss me?! The obvious answer was yes but he couldn't think strait he could just stare at October.

When she reached for the can again and drank more Malek's face became only more red. When she reached down to take off her tights gave a quick yelp of surprise and she turned towards him and began to grin. What...what is she thinking? He quickly jumped when she walked to him and pulled on his pant's waistline. He struggled to get her off of him but she was able to drag his pants down to his knees. "I really don't want to take advantage of you October, especially when you not in your right mind!"
