"Oh I see!" Gabe nodded, "well I'm glad there's something that helps a little bit." There was a ghost of a smile on his face as if he was trying to reassure Bill by smiling but it just wasn't working for him. Gabe pressed a kiss to the boy's lips when he sat down, hoping to take his mind off things if only for a few seconds. "Maybe there's some medicines or something to help with the anxiety?"

Gabe wrapped his arms around the boy, as if he were trying to keep him warm. "I'm sorry," Gabe replied sympathetically. "Of course you can stay here, you're always welcome to stay here you know that right?" He was pretty sure the boy did, but just in case he needed reminding. Everyone needed a reminder of love once in a while.

"Hmm?" Gabe's heart sank a little though he didn't let it show. He felt awful for his poor boyfriend, the boy was struggling so much just with day to day things like being in a classroom. "I really think we should look into seeing if anyone has powers that could help...kind of like how you have healing? But for the mind I guess?" Gabe wasn't sure how to articulate the ideas that were forming in his head so he hoped Bill could understand what he meant, "or someone who could help you learn to deal with being able to hear everybody's thoughts so that they wouldn't stress you out so much?"

<div align=center>William rather wanted to stop talking for a little while, he'd rather just listen to Gabriel talk rather than talk about things that really needed to be spoken about. He did need some help, both of them knew that, but neither knew how to get that help. William shrugged, "I.. I d-don't kn-know." He replied, it was odd for him to stutter around Gabe, he was usually so comfortable with the man that there was nothing to feel nervous about. He mainly just needed to relax and calm down. He was so stressed that it was evident in everything down to the way he spoke. "I... I only really u.. Use the herbal.. One..." The boy had began to quiver ever so slightly, as if he were going to cry again.

"Let's not talk about this a-any m-m-more." He squared his chin to stop the tears he could feel welling up. He didn't feel like crying again, tears made his head hurt and his nose run. "Talk to me about... A.. About s.. s-something else." He muttered, rubbing his eyes and blinking back tears. It made Bill's life easier if he just pretended he was fine for now, that way he didn't have to think about finding a solution to the problem. He didn't like thinking about that.

William wanted to change the subject, but he didn't feel like forming conversation. "Just... Talk to me?" He asked quietly, it didn't really matter if he didn't reply, he just wanted to listen to Gabriel speak. "But not about that."</div>

Gabe didn't like seeing Bill at this level of stressed out, sure the boy was often nervous but he was never this nervous around Gabe that he could hardly speak. It upset Gabe to see how hard it was for poor William.

However he quickly nodded at the idea to change the subject, it really wasn't helping Bill to calm down by talking about it so it'd probably be best that they stopped for today at least. Maybe another time when his boyfriend wasn't feeling so stressed they could think about it again.

Gabe let Bill rest his head on his shoulder, liking the feeling of being close to him. He hoped it'd reassure the boy. Gabe agreed to talk to him, "sure I can do that, I'm the best at talking about things...even if they are a little bit pointless." He laughed softly, trying to lighten the mood a bit. He supposed pointless things were better than things that upset Bill.

<div align=center>William would rather talk about something that was pointless and irrelevant than anything else, at least it'd take his mind off everything else for a while. He fumbled absently around for Gabe's hand and grabbed it's squeezing it and pulling it to his chest. "Put the TV on...?" He murmured, not that he really wanted to watch it, it was just nice for background noise. He tried to home in on Gabe's mind, maybe that way it'd calm him down and make him feel better. Gabriel was far calmer than William in more or less every situation, it was good for William to spend time with him.

It was a good idea to leave it for now, William would talk to Gabe when he was ready. When that would be was another matter entirely, he'd most likely not bring it up for another while, hopefully before it got to him again. "W-w.. What did you do today?" William asked, his voice picking up an almost timid sort of tone. He forced a small smile though, just to reassure Gabriel that he was alright for now, whether what was actually true or not was another story, it was best to leave it alone.</div>

"Yeah of course I can do that," Gabe smiled at William's request to turn on the tv. He knew he wouldn't really be paying attention to it anyway but he'd grant the boy's wishes. Anything to cheer him up. "Hang on sweetie I'm just gonna have to let go of your hand for a minute to go grab the clicker."

Gabe hummed softly as he went about doing that, wondering why on earth he'd left the remote on the other side of the room. He could feel Bill's presence in his mind, and he hoped the humming would relax him a little.

Plonking himself back down beside Bill, Gabe turned on the tv and took Bill's hand once again. Hopefully Bill wouldn't let this all get to him again before he spoke to Gabe about it, but Gabe knew he'd have to let the boy do it in his own time. Rushing him would only stress the poor boy out.

Gabe tried to remember what he had been doing before the whole incident with Michael, "oh I uh went to lectures," he sighed. "Boring!" He shrugged, "though it wasn't too bad 'cause I was texting you most of the time." He smiled, "I'd much rather have been with you in person. What did you do?" He asked, curiously, though he was glad to see a smile out of the boy. The smile didn't really fool Gabriel but at the same time he wanted to believe William was okay so he let it slide for now.

<div align=center>"You shouldn't do that," William frowned a little, he didn't think it was a very good idea for Gabriel to text him instead of listening to his teachers. He wouldn't learn anything if he did that, "what are you gonna do when exams come around?" He shuffled backward and frowned at Gabe, he knew he'd regret it when they did come around, he'd be sat there clueless because he hadn't listened. "Don't blame me when you fail them all," he lifted an eyebrow and glanced over to the man. William didn't even know what lessons Gabe took, he didn't even know what he wanted to do. They'd never talked about it. The future seemed like an awfully long time away. But in reality it wasn't, and Bill wondered what would happen when Gabe ended up leaving the school. He couldn't stay here forever.

Suddenly William panicked- that was true. Gabriel couldn't stay here forever, and what happened when he decided to move on? What happened if Gabriel decided to leave the island for good. What would become of him? His eyes widened a little, and all of a sudden he reached out and latched firmly onto Gabe's wrist with one hand. "Please don't leave me here." He pleaded, the colour draining from his features. "Please don't leave me all alone."

The thought of being alone here frightened him more than anything, all the friends in the world couldn't replace the comfort he drew from Gabriel. That was it though, he'd be alone one day whether he liked it or not. First romances never lasted. William couldn't keep Gabriel around forever, and he knew that.</div>

"Of course I shouldn't," Gabe admitted, "but I can't help it! It's so hard to concentrate on whatever they're droning on about." Gabe sighed, "I do try to pay attention, but hey at least they give out notes sometimes." That still left all the times they didn't give out notes but Gabe thought it'd be best not to mention it. "Hey if I fail I'll be held back a year which just means I'll have to stay here longer and that wouldn't really be such a loss. "

Gabe had grown attached to the place, but that didn't necessarily mean he wanted to fail, cramming was probably going to be his solution when finals rolled around. Gabe took lessons in languages (simply because they came easy to him) and a few other courses on the side, but his real dream was to be a musician. For some reason he'd never taken music classes in the school though.

"Leave you here?" Gabe asked confused, he was not a mind reader and hadn't made the connection to what Bill was thinking about. "Why would I do something nasty like that?" He frowned, and then it hit him. Oh he means when I finish my degree... Gabe had never thought about what would happen once he finished, surely he'd have to leave the place but then how would he see Bill? He was sure he could come to visit but it wouldn't be the same at all.

<div align=center>William shrunk away again, pulling his knees to his chest and frowning. He didn't want that to happen. But he couldn't really stop it, either. Times changed and people grew. He'd most likely just have to force himself to move on. I don't want to move on. Bill realized he was crying again a moment later, he'd pulled his thoughts from a dark place, and in the meantime pushed them into an even darker one. "But you will..." He murmured, staring at the sofa cushions instead of up at Gabriel. There was only so much for one person on the island.

He dropped his head to his knees and curled up into a ball. Why do I insist on doing this? He frowned a little, I ruin things for myself, don't I? He struggled up off of the couch and crossed the room, he had half a mind to curl up in bed and fall asleep again, but he'd woken up from a nap not long ago, and now was perhaps a bad time for him to sleep. Sleep with bad thoughts resulted in nightmares, and nightmares resulted in... Well. A boy with a bladder like a kitten perhaps wasn't very safe when fear was added to him.

He pulled open the door of the tiny fridge up on a side table, taking a can of beer from it and swinging it shut again. The can hissed as he pulled the ring, though he brought it to his lips before any could spill. </div>

Gabe moved closer to his boyfriend when he noticed Bill pulling away, although he wasn't sure if that was the best thing to do. Maybe the boy needed some space and that's why he kept moving away. Gabe wasn't sure but he decided to go with his instincts, which were to comfort the poor worried boy.

Without thinking very much Gabe brushed a tear away from Bill's cheek with his thumb. "Ssh it's okay you don't need to cry, querido." He met Bill's eyes, "I don't plan on leaving you...I love you and don't know what I'd do without you." He frowned a little, he supposed he'd have to leave Starlight Academy but did he have to leave the island? Surely he could rent a place somewhere...in the city or something. He hoped Bill could read his thoughts at the moment.

Gabe had witnessed a couple of these nightmares and he'd always wondered what could have happened in them to cause the boy to react so badly to them. He'd tried asking but Bill hadn't wanted to talk about it, Bill never really wanted to talk about sad things , no more than the next person, but Gabe was beginning to think that perhaps it would be beneficial to start talking about it.

<div align=center>The boy lurked the other side of the room for a moment, sipping tentatively from the can. He would perhaps have preferred wine or whiskey, but as someone that shouldn't have been drinking in the first place, he wasn't one to be picky. After a minute or two, he shuffled back across the room and perched on the edge of the sofa, taking another sip of beer before pushing the can into Gabe's hand. He sat back, bringing his knees up again and leaning into his boyfriend. "Go fetch your duvet," he mumbled, "or at least I wanna go get in bed." Although Gabriel's bed wasn't really big enough for both of them, Bill didn't mind.

"Not to sleep. I don't want to sleep." He drew a breath, and exhaled shortly. He was trying to cling to Gabe's thoughts to push his own darker ones away, it was nice to have him there. Gabriel was the cause of a lot of conflict in Bill's mind, but on the other hand he was also the most effective source of comfort. He made William feel safe, he perhaps couldn't make things better- it wasn't that easy, but at least he was there for moral support. William appreciated that an awful lot.

William would talk about it soon enough, hopefully. Keeping things bottled up was dangerous for him, but he didn't like the way talking about them felt, and therefore tended to avoid it more often than not.</div>
