"A pretty unique beginning, I'd agree," Gabe joined William in his laughter. He glanced at the boy curiously, it was the first time he had heard him genuinely laugh and the sound had nearly melted his heart.

Gabriel took the opportunity to move closer to William when he was offered it. "Thank you." He smiled appreciatively. He liked being this close to William, he could smell him , make out every detail of his stunning features. Not only does he look good from afar, but also up close. And he smells amazing, odd for a guy.

"What do you like to do?" Gabe asked, realising they didn't know much about each other in respect of interests et cetera.

<div align=center>William shrugged, and yawned. "Nap." He answered lazily, tilting his head back and closing his eyes, he realized Gabe was only trying to keep up conversation now, he wondered why, it was obvious Gabe was used to more interesting people to talk to, Bill realized. He lifted a hand to his head to realize that his hat had fallen off, he blinked, glancing down to where it had fallen. He couldn't reach. "Oh no." He groaned, clapping his hands to his ears and frowning, though that really didn't help at all. The creeping feeling that came with sensing other people's minds overtook him, and he frowned. He tensed up suddenly and groaned, glancing to a girl that was walking with her friend, smiling brightly and laughing animatedly, though her thoughts suggested she thought the friend was anything but fun to be around.

"Ah." He whimpered, and dropped his head between his knees. There were too many people here, and it made his head hurt. "One second... I... Oh dear.. I'm sorry.." He leaned down and fumbled across the ground the little foil hat, but it was gone from where it had been a few moments ago, he presumed it had been picked up by the wind, dammit. He placed a hand on Gabe's upper arm, and the other on his own forehead, "there are a lot of people here..."</div>

Gabriel noticed William's foil hat blowing in the wind, he wondered what it was for. He didn't want to pry yet he felt his curiosity edging him on.
"Is that hat important?" Gabe asked, watching for William's reaction. "I can chase after it, if you like?" He raised an eyebrow. Gabe was fast, maybe not as fast as the wind but he could most likely get it.

"Do you have a headache?" Gabe inquired, confused as to why Bill had his hands resting against his forehead. He looked down at the boy's hand on his arm and couldn't help but think how dainty his hands looked. Bill would make a good musician.

<div align=center>William shook his head, "don't.. Don't trouble yourself." He stammered, groaning softly and shaking his head again, he didn't like people to trouble themselves for him, no matter how much he needed them to. Is that hat important? It was important, he supposed, for his sanity at least. "Keeps.. Stuff out." He mumbled, struggling immensely to concentrate on the conversation. He was being distracted by everything suddenly going on around him, though not that Gabe could gather that. He could feel Gabe's innate need to know. Humans were like that, they liked to know things that were currently unknown to them, William was a very curious person himself. His head was beginning to throb, usually it wouldn't have come on this fast but there was a lot of people here.

His grip on the other man's increased a little and he whimpered, "I'm sorry this doesn't usually happen," he mumbled, biting down on his lower lip. It was a little like a lot of people shouting at him at once, which naturally, would give someone a headache. His grip tightened again, ow. Bill laughed softly to himself, either trying to reassure himself he was completely fine, or Gabe, he didn't like people to worry about him. "I play guitar if that's anything?" He murmured, evidently a little confused between the man's thoughts and what he was actually saying.</div>

Gabe shot the kid a questioning glance,
"Are you sure? It looks kinda like it's important." Though he couldn't explain why. How could a little foil hat be deemed important? He didn't know, but something gave that sense.

"Keeps what out?" Gabriel asked, with an air of suspicion. "Feelings, emotions, thoughts?" William had mentioned something about there being too many people. Perhaps he picked up on some human sense, such as the ones he had mentioned to William.

Gabe blinked, did I say that aloud? Oh god, Gabriel control yourself. Outwardly he showed no signs of his internal conflict and nodded towards William, "that's cool! You should play for me sometime!"

<div align=center>"A.. A little like that," William answered, frowning a little, "it's complicated." At least, most people he'd tried to explain it to had been confused, then again they had never been here. He would have bet good money on the idea that he certainly wasn't the only person here who could hear thoughts, of course he wasn't, and the thought made him feel a little better about himself, he'd always thought there was something wrong with him, it was nice to know that there wasn't. He laughed, he'd never played for anyone, and it wasn't likely he was going to start now, "I'm not that... Not that good." He shrugged, shaking his head. Bill didn't like the thought of playing for someone.

"I guess you could call it Telepathy," he muttered, quietly, as if embarrassed of the fact, then again a lot of people didn't like the fact he could pry into their inner most thoughts, and he could, he was just too good hearted to do so, there were some things that people weren't meant to hear, so he liked to leave people to themselves most of the time, of course, he couldn't control hearing active thoughts at the moment, which was why he wore that stupid little hat all the time.</div>

"I'm sure I could understand it," Gabe replied, "if you're willing to try explain it." He shrugged, he didn't want the force Bill to, he already seemed uncomfortable enough as it was.

"Telepathy," Gabriel repeated nodding thoughtfully. "I suppose that's why you need the hat? It's how you heard me thinking about you being musical isn't it?" He didn't know how he felt about this. On one hand it seemed like William was too kind-hearted to purposefully read your thoughts but what if he had a grudge against you..

"I'm sure you are," Gabriel replied, "can you sing?" William looked like someone who could sing.

<div align=center>William squeaked, and dropped his head between his knees again, "ow." He tensed up a little, and gritted his teeth together, "can I... Just...?" He mumbled something to himself, and took a breath, steadying himself and focusing himself. It took a moment for everything to fade out, and it was a welcome relief, he felt strange for doing this, though he was sure he could beg for Gabe's forgiveness a little later, "just don't think about something you don't want me to hear for a moment." William mumbled, massaging his temples softly. This would make him sleepy, no doubt, but William was always sleepy, it wouldn't really make a difference to him, he thought. Besides, if he did fall asleep here he didn't have a doubt that Gabe could carry him back to his dorm, Bill didn't weigh very much.

Sorry. He frowned a little, "it's difficult to talk to you with everyone shouting at once."[/i] Concentrating on one person was a little more difficult than leaving yourself open to everybody, but it was far less painful for William, he hadn't learned how to block people out yet, he supposed that was why he was here, and he supposed it was useful for him to be here. "I'm not going to find out your deepest secrets or take control of you or whatever, don't worry."</div>

Gabe's eyes widened a little bit, you're coming inside my head? He asked silently, the thought not leaving his lips. Did you just speak to me through my mind or did I imagine it? He coughed awkwardly. He didn't have much he didn't want William to find out about but all he could think about right now was how William was getting inside his head.

Gabe was utterly fascinated by the other boy's power. He had met a few people with similar powers to William but they couldn't speak to him inside his head. In fact, it was not often he'd be in awe of other's powers but right now it seemed he was in awe of WIlliam's.

<div align=center>William's frown deepened, he could feel Gabe's discomfort, and he didn't like it. Sorry. He repeated, unthinkingly placing a hand on his knee, "I promise I won't do anything.. It's just... It's so noisy otherwise, kinda hurts." The older boy's presence offered him a source of comfort for some reason, he was so laid back that William couldn't help but feel relaxed around him, perhaps not at first, but now, it was different now. "I could just go somewhere else if you liked," he offered, cocking an eyebrow at him, if it makes you uncomfortable. He realized a second later he was still touching Gabe, and pulled away, offering an apology to him.

He could feel the effects of what he was doing taking place already, he was feeling lethargic all of a sudden, and he could feel a rather large yawn coming on. It happened quickly, it was just another thing he hadn't perfected yet. Bill wondered why Gabe was quite so surprised by the way he could do this, he was pretty sure there was at least one person that could do it as well. Maybe they just hadn't tried to speak to him like this, I don't even know what he can do. He told himself, it's probably stronger than this.</div>
