"I don't understand why you thought you needed to burn your brains out to show off your power." Live said with a roll of her eyes as she held open the door to the dorm building while using her shadows to make sure Stefan didn't run into the doors or the walls...or her.

She had just met Stefan while out for a walk. She had questioned him about his powers and proceeded to show her..by blasting his head with flames.

"There's no elevator so we have to take the stairs." Her tone was lacking in emotion just like her expression. "Think you can make it?" She questioned. Part of her wondered if he would be better suited to go to the nurse but she also doubted he would go there willingly.

"psssh well you wanted to see my trick and t-that was my trick hehe". He would say as he stumbled through the door and look down for a few seconds collecting his thoughts and body functions.

"I think ill make it" He would say while striking a pose with his fist in the air. "Why the dull face friend, i'm having the time of my life" he would say as he chuckled to him self.

She sighed. "Yeah I did say that...guess this is my fault then..." She grumbled as she moved towards the stairs. He seemed to have a bit more control over himself, or at least was trying to.

"Well at least one of us is enjoying ourselves." She said as she began the assent to the third floor. Usually she just shadow traveled herself straight into her room but she couldn't do that with a guest.

"aww don't blame your self, i would had done it anyway". He said as he climbed the stares with her, holding the side bars as tight as he could as to not fall. "...sorry about the whole pew pew hehe ^^ i get carried away to easy and i don't have nobody to stop me". He said pointing to him self as he climbed the stares.
"And you can enjoy this too silly, all you have to do is think of it as a good ol slumber party" He said with a big dumb smile on his face.

Live sighed. "Right..slumber party..." Something told her it usually didn't involve boys who had just burned their brains out trying to impress you.

The finally reached her floor and moved down the hall to her room. Live opened the door and held it open so Stefan could enter. "You can rest there." She said pointing to one of the beds. She didn't have a roommate, thankfully.

The room was pretty sparse. The only personal belongings that could be seen were shoes, jewelry and some notebooks. There was a black tapestry with the phases of the moon hanging next to one of the beds. Live moved towards this bed and sat on the edge, kicking off her shoes as she did.

"hehe i have never had one of these.... because i never really had any real friends growing up" He said as he removed his shoes, stumbling to do so still dazed by what he did to him self"

He finally got his shoes off and sat at the end of the bed she had pointed at. He looked around at her room before speaking again. "Thanks for letting me stay here... better then last night when i was sleeping in a ditch". He said still smiling for some reason. "umm hey... just wondering why you being kind enough to let me stay here?". He said as he laid back.

A ditch? Didn't this kid go to school here? Why was he sleeping in a ditch then? All students of the school got a room. Then again, Live had slept in the woods sometimes and she had a room to herself.


Live sighed as she watched the boy lay down. She suddenly realized that she hadn't bothered to find out his name. She was pretty terrible at this social graces thing.

"Don't call it kindness. Call it pity." Live huffed as she pulled her legs off the ground and sat crosslegged. She reached for one of the sketchbooks on her nightstand and pulled a pen out of her bag.

"pity..... geez". He said as he looked down at his hands with a slightly more depressed face. He let out a sigh before speaking again." so umm tell me a bit more about your self age, hobbies, stuff like that". He said trying to keep a smile but was clearly not very happy anymore.

She could sense the change in his attitude at her words. She sighed as she put her pen to paper, continuing a drawing she had been working on earlier in the day. "Sorry if I hurt your feelings but you asked."

Live wasn't one to talk much about herself but she supposed this time she could answer some basic questions. "I'm 16..year. For fun I draw, get drunk and high, and practice demonic summonings." That about covered everything.

She paused for a second. "What is your name?"

He would wave his hand at her. "Its fine not the first time some one has shown so called pity to me, guess you could say i'm a little burned out". He said has he yet again chuckled to him self. He wanted to make her smile since she seemed stressed to him.

"mmm drunk and high thats a bit bad for you isn't it". He exclaimed sounding a bit worried."what kind of stuff do you do if you don't mind me asking. He said still looking a little worried, playing with thumbs in his opened hands.

"Oh and my name.... its Stefan ^^, but you can call me Red or Fire..... umm basically what ever you want sister" He said as flicked his fingers and pointed at her.
