Astrial is tired after two days of being in a new place, surrounded by people she doesn't know except for Murphy and a guy she met in the Cafeteria using some doohickey to listen to some new type of music. She hadn't slept much and really needed some space. Everything is different from the sounds and smells to the tastes in the air and lay of the land. She certainly was not back home. Everything here was louder and bigger and brighter. She didn't know if she could get used to it all. A swim to relax was definitely in order.
She headed down to the beach in towel and bear feet after leaving her clothes at the top of the cliff. The towel came off half way down the path and as soon and the salty cold waters licked her toes she jumped in and swam a ways out. She dived and rolled between the plants in the ocean and watched fish go by. There were many species she had not scene before now. But they were all beautiful, colourful and bright. Stripes and spots of all kinds. Long tails and short, fat and thin, long and flat. She let out a long shrill call under the water to call her companion. He didn't have a human name since he was a dolphin but she could say his fish name no problem. They chased each other for like two hours and then she found a rock to climb onto not too far from shore. The sun glistened on her tanned skin and made her blond hair look like spun gold. She started to sing with the wind pulling the notes from her mouth in long melodious tones bursting from her lungs. This siren song was about love of the ocean how it loved cleanse the earth forever and ever. Her song pulls at the ears of others to must stop and listen to the beauty of it. Or at least that was what she was told. She's never sung around others before. She's always just been around her siren mother and elven father.
Eventually the sun started to turn the sky cotton candy pink which was a very good sign to the sea dwellers and people who used boats. Okay, Astrial thought, time to go to shore but better eat some sea lettuce first so I can avoid the eating place the students use. After a few minutes of kelp and other sea plants she swam underwater to the shore saying by to her dolphin friend and burst forth up on to the closest rock to the sandy beach. That was relaxing, she thought to herself. At least she doesn't have to give up her swimming in the ocean. What a lovely day she had. So buck naked to the world she stands on the beach looking up the cliff she needed to climb back to the top of.
