Private Finished Do You Fear Me?

Everything was so scary. Why was everything so scary? Why was Aluin so scared of everything? The nice, scary lady had said it was just a part of him but even that thought of having the scariness be a part of him was scary for Aluin.
Again he had woken up from a nightmare in tears. He was in a dark place and there were black tendrils everywhere and it hurt and he was more scared than ever. Aluin saw the same nightmare every time he slept and every time he had to get out of his room, that was filled with unnaturalm scary darkness. Aluin climbed out of the window, and though both the thought of being alone and being with people was scary Aluin just had to choose. So he started running through the woods at high speed, towards the town. When Aluin had to choose between being alone and being with people he always picked people. He had a feeling he had been alone a lot before, he didn't want to be alone anymore. Even if it was so scary.

The sun was about to start rising by the time Aluin reached town, he looked around and saw few people walking along the streets. Aluin felt a strange mix of fear and relief upon seeing people, and he began making his way through the town, his eyes on the ground. The ground was a bit scary too, but Aluin was less scared of just hearing the people near him than also seeing them.
Aluin didn't have any specific place he wanted to go, he just wandered and listened to the sounds around him while muttering to himself. The self-talking calmed Aluin.
"It's cold, cold is scary. It makes my nose red and my cheeks itchy. But when sun comes up it's scary how fast it warms me up, it feels heavy and hurts my eyes. Shadows are scary, but they don't let the sunlight on me. But if a shadow covers me entirely it's scary, the shadows of tree tops are not as scary, the are holes in the shadow. Where's-"
Aluin stopped when he heard a familiar sound, wind rustling in tree tops, and he looked up and looked towards the sound. He saw a whole bunch of trees, and naturally Aluin walked towards them. Sunrise was scary, but it was less scary when Aluin was in a shadow of a tree.

Aluin quickly found a tree that wasn't that scary, and he sat under it. But as he sat under it Aluin's wandered to the nightmare and he started silently weeping. Crying also calmed Aluin down, though the way the first tears made his nose sting and how his cheeks became wet was also a bit scary. And there were no sounds of people anymore, which made Aluin more scared. Where were all the people?
Aluin started sobbing a bit, though he tried to stay quiet. If he cried too loudly they would hear him.

Aluin could tell when he was near, and before the mister even spoke Aluin's head shot up, his eyes still in tears, and his white pupils latched onto the man approaching him.
The man was scary, though slightly less scary than the first time, and Aluin brought his hand to the power bracelet on his wrist. It was the only thing keeping him from recklessly transforming into his scary other form, and leaking fear. The scary people had told Aluin he should keep this scary bracelet on, or he'd hurt others. Aluin didn't really care about that, but the sounds people let out when Aluin's fear touched them was scary and he didn't want to hear it.

When the man spoke Aluin flinched a bit and drew himself into a smaller bundle. This scary man had a weird feeling about him, Aluin didn't like it.
"It's scary..."
Was all Aluin said in a small voice, and drew the wrist with the power bracelet against his chest. Aluin let out another small sob.

The man knelt down, he was less scary when he was down. Aluin was able to relax just a bit, although when the man spoke again, told Aluin his name, Aluin for some reason wanted to cry a bit harder.
But the nice scary lady had told Aluin it wasn't that nice to just cry and be quiet if someone wanted to make friends with you. Friends were scary, the kicked Aluin, but this man's smile wasn't as scary as theirs, and Aluin didn't want the nice scary lady to be less nice to him. So Aluin swallowed and looked down while he spoke.
"I'm Aluin..."
It was weird how this man said it was alright when nothing was ever alright. Not for Aluin at least. Everything was scary.
"Why are you...talking to me?"

Aluin put aside the compliment the man gave him, compliments were a bit scary, they made Aluin feel unsure. Instead he concentrated on the man's question, that scary too, but questions were meant to be answered. Aluin could do that.
"Parents are...the people that made you? I don't have them, they sound scary. I'm here because it was scary in the dark, here it's less scary."
Aluin was getting slightly less scary when he had to think about all kinds of things, and the man, Altizica, seemed like he wasn't going to hurt him. Even though his name was a bit scary.

"I can't be happy. It's scary, I'm scared all the time. I can't help it. Adults that talk to me because I'm crying are scared. I scare them."
Aluin's face went from scared to blank for a moment, when he remembered the nice scary lady, and how when she tried to make him feel better was a bit scared. Of Aluin? Of his tears? Of his powers? Aluin didn't know.
Aluin looked at Altizica, and he looked scared again, though he wasn't crying anymore.
"You're...not scared."

Altizica's yawn made the almost relaxed Aluin pull back a bit, the open mouth was scary and reminded him of something really scary. He didn't start crying again, but it was close and he looked away, trying not to remember the darkness and the sounds and the pain.
"It matters..."
Not to Aluin, but the other children that bullied him said horrible things about the fact that Aluin was a mystery. It mattered to them.

Aluin didn't understand half of what Altizica said, it was too complicated for him to understand, but even though the large amount of words overwhelmed and scared Aluin he understood the words were meant to comfort him. He did catch the words World is a scary place, and Aluin knew that.
"I don't understand...fear is me."
Those words felt right. Scary, but right. Aluin was fear, fear was him.
"You're scary...and strange...you don't know me, why are you here?."
