Riley accepted his explanation without question. "Makes sense. I was like that too, when I had a cult. You don't think you need to know stuff like improper fractions or diagramming a sentence, innit?"

Next, he asked what level of school she was in.

"Middle school. I'm technically a kid," she said. "But that's just 'cause I reincarnate. And I don't remember a lot about the last times I was alive, so yeah, I'm just going through classes like a normal kid."

She spat out that last part with a little bit of disdain. She hated the way people condescended to her for being a child; she wanted it to be over already. She deserved more respect than she was getting, she thought.

Krish just nodded with her agreement. Whatever she just mentioned pretty much told exactly why he didn't like the education, he had little idea about all that type of stuff, and probably will not get it for while. Could barely even add anything to that.

"Huh, yours sounds worse than mine, you were a god several times, at least mine's was only once." Even he had to admit that, and he usually planned his lies to look bigger and worse than others. "But can't you still be a god? You know, while you're a student and all. I've seen, I don't know, advertisement from other gods here, and even if you look like some normal kid you know some people would sign up to worship a destruction god." He shrugged. "There's all sorts here, even I could probably do ads or whatever and I mess with diseases!"

Riley frowned a little bit. Thinking about getting a cult again always gave her some of the worst feelings, chief among them being inadequacy and self doubt. "I don't know if I'm ready to get my own cult again."

She had a lot of stuff to sort through first, and she knew it.

"But if you have any blessings that'd stop people from getting sick, that'd make you pretty popular. Mortals love that... you trying to get people worshipping you again?"

"Well, I don't exactly got any powers that completely keep you from getting sick, I just heal you after you get sick, but I still had people trying to worship me so it must be alright." He shrugged, if people wanted to worship what they thought was a sickness god, why should he stop them? Trying to get an explanation was always different, mostly, somehow, the sickness "fixed" them or something, and he stopped asking after a while.

"Why wouldn't you want your cult?" Krish shook his head in disbelief. "People practically let you do anything or think you know anything, even when that's not what you're supposed to know, because you're supposed to be "all-knowing" and all." He couldn't help the sarcasm in his voice at "all-knowing" but he tried to continue on so that, and his scoff, wasn't noticeble. "That couldn't be nothing but a good thing, I'd love to have that back, so yeah, it would be great having people treat me like that again!" Though, he had to admit, people here seemed to be able to figure out gods or fake gods just like that, so unless he himself figures out how to fake being a god a bit better, it might be better to keep that as wish.

Now Riley felt like she had to explain it. And on this subject, she felt like she had many thousands of years of experience backing her up.

"Destruction is a tough domain to get followers. If you're lucky, the mortals sorta think of you like you're the idea of destruction itself, given a body or... like an avatar, right? But I'm not gonna get that kind of symbolic power here, innit? I'm just a kid. They also worship destruction so that they'll be protected from it, and I'm more about causing it than stopping it, so I can't really help with that. I feel like I have to get followers who want to see something get destroyed, and I don't... really want them to disagree with me about what deserves it. Or I'd have to be part of another pantheon, which is a whole other thing."

She made a vague gesture.

"Also, I don't really want to try to trick people. But... I miss being treated like a goddess, too. So I don't really blame you."
