Food was strange. Although Morgana didn't need it she craved for it, especially anything of the flavour that people called "spicy", and once in a while when she ate a dish it somehow tasted...familiar. Although tasting anything was still new for Morgana.
Ever since coming to this planet Morgana had felt nostalgic and like something was familiar again and again and again, and she would've been lying if she claimed it didn't bother her. Sometimes it was unnerving. During those times Morgana shed her physical body, flew to space for a few minutes and then returned after calming her mind for a while. It always helped.

But despite this new planet causing her these feelings Morgana still enjoyed being there, experiencing it and actually meeting people. Selkiris was among those people, a very helpful individual she had promised to meet for some food. Was it called dinner? Or lunch? Morgana was pretty sure it depended on the time of day. But she wasn't really good at keeping time, she didn't have a clock and it usually only mattered to her when it was night and when it was day.
Morgana walked among the crowd, wearing her usual white robe with small shells and stars adorning the shoulder straps and chest area. It was the only piece of clothing she owned, and once Morgana looked down at its hem she could see it was getting a bit dirty.
She would have to ask the authorities for help in finding a job, so she could purchase more clothes. And perhaps something to keep them in. Maybe she should purchase a residence while she was at it, it couldn't hurt to have a storage space.

Morgana arrived where she and Selkiris were supposed to meet, she wasn't certain if she was late or early. Perhaps she was so late Selkiris had already left, that would've been shameful from Morgana's part. What time were they supposed to meet again? 5pm? Morgana looked around to see if there were any clocks around, but naturally there weren't.

Selkiris took a deep breath trying to calm himself down for what as about to happen. He was going to dinner with someone who was scarily similar to Morgan which was something he thought could never happen. “Just breath Selkiris. Just breath. It will be fine, it’s not a date just a meeting.” Selkiris took a deep breath and finally departed from his house. Luckily the restaurant they were going to eat at wasn’t far at all from Selkiris’s home so it took only a few short ‘blinks’ before he reached the entrance. Then he saw her. He felt his heart pound in his chest, something that hadn’t happened in ages. She was beautiful, a fact Selkiris hadn’t payed attention to since he was so focused in the library. Selkiris wore his robes like usual but the major difference was that he actually had his hood down, revealing his pale face to the world. Selkiris slowly walked towards Morgana, clearing his throat once he reached a good distance. “Hello Morgana I’m sorry I am late. You look...stunning this evening.”

Morgana did not see Selkiris arrive, and turned to him with a slightly surprised expression as he spoke. Morgana blinked once, his hood was down. She had seen his face before, she could see it from under the hood, but only now did Morgana see Selkiris' face clearly. And it evoked that same feeling at the pit of her stomach she had experienced during their first meeting in the library. It didn't make Morgana take a step back this time, but it still confused her greatly.

But all in all Morgana was happy to see Selkiris again, and she smiled and turned all the way to face Selkiris.
"If you were late I was not aware of it. I'm afraid it is slightly difficuly for me to track the time. It is wonderful to see you again, Selkiris."
Morgana said with a joyful tone and gentle smile. Selkiris had called her stunning, and that comment made Morgana feel strangely self-conscious for a moment. After all, she only owned one robe.
"I thank you, that is very kind of you to say."
Morgana was finally able to answer, and her smile grew slightly shy and flustered. But what was this feeling? Morgana was not certain.
"Shall we enter the establishment, then? I cannot say I am hungry, but the scent is making me want to sample the food."

Selkiris smiled a little “Oh I see. Perhaps you need a watch then? I use an old technique to tell time when I’m outdoors but it only works while the sun it out.” Selkiris was of course talking about the telling time from the position of the sun. As he had been alive for so long he had become quite good at simply seeing the postion and giving a close estimate for the time. “And of course it is wonderful to see you again too Morgana. Yes we should probably go inside, I had made a reservation earlier today for this and we best not keep them waiting~” Selkiris moves to the door and held it open for Morgana, gesturing for her to go in first.

"Please do tell me of this technique. I do not really need to tell the time after sunset, I must stay under the stars during nighttime."
Morgana explained, if she didn't bathe in starlight for 6 hours every night she'd start to fade from existence.

"Reservation? Such a thing is possible? I was not aware of that."
Morgana said with surprise as she followed Selkiris to the door, and walked through it giving Selkiris an appreciative nod on the way.
Morgana looked around inside a restaurant with curiosity, this was only the second time she had entered an actual restaurant. In the space station Morgana had stayed within the academy area, eating food in the cafeteria if she felt like it, and going to cultural classes.

Selkiris couldn’t help but chuckle at little at that. “Well then I suppose I could while we wait for our food. It’s not really that complicated just requires some practice.” Selkiris walked in after Morgana and approached the waiter at the front. “Excuse me we have a reservation under Selkiris Relki.” The waiter checked the small book of reservations. “Oh yes Mr. Relki! Right this was sir!” The waiter gestures for Morgana and Selkiris to follow them as they moved to one of the tables in the far back. “Here is your table sir, if you need anything just let me know.” Selkiris nodded and the waiter departed. Selkiris moved to one of the chairs and slid it out, gesturing for Morgana to please sit.

The process of checking the reservation and the waiter leading them to a table was very fascinating for Morgana, all the way through she looked surprised and curious. She noted most patrons of the restaurant had nice clothing, and again Morgana felt slightly...odd to be wearing what she was wearing. Hopefully she didn't offend Selkiris by being, what was the term, underdressed? Morgana was pretty sure that was what it was called. Although it was a strange word, underdressed sounded like you weren't wearing enough clothes. And that thought in turn made Morgana smile and chuckle a bit as they arrived at their table, and Selkiris slid out a chair for her.
"Oh, thank you very much."
Morgana said and sat down. As she did a strange feeling went through her mind. Like she had done this before, and like it was supposed to make her feel...irritated? No, that couldn't be, why should she be irritated at kindness. Morgana waved the feeling off and waited for Selkiris to sit down as well.

"I have never seen a place such as this. Thank you for bringing me here and giving me a new experience."
Morgana said with an appreciative tone and smiled at Selkiris. She had a feeling that on her own she would've never gone to a place like this.
"Now, please do tell me of this technique to tell time. I shall make good use of it, that is until I can afford to purchase a device to tell time with."

Selkiris slid Morgana’s chair back in with a smile, moving to take his own char. “Oh it is no issue at all Morgana. I could have used a night out myself anyways so I don’t mind going out with you.” Selkiris said with a bright smile. He chuckled a little at Morgana’s request to teach her his trick on telling time. “Oh that thing? It is quite simple really. One just has to look up and see the position of the sun. Where even the sun is in the sky will tell what time it is as the sun moves from east to west. If it’s closer east then it’s early in the day, and vice versa if it’s closer west.”

It was a delight to see Selkiris smile. From the initial impression Morgana had received from the man he had seemed like a more somber sort, one whose smiles were a thing of great rarity. But this was very pleasant, and Morgana returned his smile with joy. Smiling happened like breathing to Morgana, after all, and so did other expressions as well. All emotions flowed like a river within Morgana, not wanting to be tied or suppressed.

The trick Selkiris had spoken of was indeed very simple, but it was still something you perhaps had to hear from someone else to realize, and it was hard to master. Nevertheless Morgana let out a small laugh at her own denseness
"Of course, how clueless of me. Then I suppose I must start practicing as the sun comes up tomorrow. I would ask you to join me, but I imagine simply observing the sun must be tedious for a mortal."
Surprisingly it wasn't a strange thought to Morgana at all to spend all day just looking at the sky. She had done stranger things to pass the time in the void of space.

Selkiris smiled and softly chuckled at Morgana’s comment. “Yes well mortals invented a few things to tell time, like the sun dial which is the most rudimentary clock. But when I gained my immortality I found just looking up at the sun wasn’t really that bad for me at least.” The waiter came back to the table, handing the two of them a menu. “If you need anything let me know. And I should say couples get a free shared dessert right now.” Selkiris seemed to look like he was about to say something but stopped himself. “Oh...alright then thank you very much sir.” The waiter nodded and rushed off to go see a few of the others tables.
