<div align=center>It was one of those days. One of those days that almost required the gym teacher to leave work early and either head home or to the bar. To make matters even worse he couldn't even do that. No, his shift should have ended two hours ago. But here he was. Forced to stay the night in one of the empty student dormitories. Trying to unravel just what the hell was happening to everyone in the little time they had before... Well, he didn't even want to think about it.

Being an instructor in the field of power control and understanding, it was natural he felt like a complete failure when he didn't know how to fix this... Whatever it was. It had to be a virus. Everyone had headaches, violent coughing fits, fevers and nausea. Though aurally a school bug would blow over Leeroy's head, this was nothing like he had seen in all his years at this school. This time, powers were corrupting, deforming and taking control of their user. And nobody was safe.

Not even him.

As he scribbled down some paperwork about students potentially absent that week and had risky powers, the man cough violently and exhaustedly. His lungs hurt, and it wasn't like him to feel this bad for being in pain. Pain... God, since when did his body register that in the first place? It was funny though, the only pains he felt were inside his mind. Headaches sucked. And they never got this bad.

Over-the-counter medication was taken a few moments ago, the bottle and the white dots within now lazily splattered across the counter. It felt like this was both for the illness he was feeling and the night undoubtedly laid out ahead of him. Not only was he physically unfit to drive home but he optionally stayed here to help any of the students who needed not only medical help but someone to help with their out-of-control abilities. If he could get his own self together in the first place, that is.

Unlike the times he usually exploded his body was not heated up to insane temperatures but instead declining supernaturally, much against the laws of the flu itself. Removing a thermometer locked within his jaw without skipping a beat to his writing Leeroy glanced at the reading. 57 F. He then flipped a few pages and wrote that down. Two hours ago it was 98.7F. One hour ago it was 83.2F. At this rate he could be frozen by the end of the night. The scribbling soon came to cease because of this, his hand trembling like a winter-bitten leaf. He rolled his desk chair over to a coffee pot, proceeding to hold it in his arms to keep him warm. He wasn't going to drink it, but... If scalding liquid wouldn't stop him from being a very hairy ice cube, there was no hope for him.

With a weak glance at the open door Leeroy observed the hallway. Despite the whiteboard message reading 'MR BRADSHAW- OPEN FOR ASSISTANCE', nobody seemed to be around. Hopefully that wasn't for a reason as macabre as the teacher dreaded, but, knowing this wild and unnamed disease, death was a complete possibility. </div>

<div align=center>It felt like war was raging in his stomach and he'd already vomited up most of the little he'd eaten today. William wasn't a boy with a large appetite, but whatever was going on with him was making him feel so bad he didn't even want to eat candy. And when William Beckett didn't want to eat candy you knew there was probably something wrong. He couldn't find Gabe, and therefore he assumed the man was in lessons. He wasn't answering calls or texts so perhaps he wasn't allowed to answer his phone, or it had been confiscated. He whipped his cell phone out again, checking for new messages and sending another just in case.

Very sick. Stomach is bleeding. I think my intestines are eating themselves. Where are you? I need medical help. xxxx

Dropping his phone back into his pocket, the teen's eyes flickered upwards to catch a familiar face. He usually tried to avoid gym lessons and only really had an interest in baseball, and therefore him and Leeroy weren't really all that familiar with each other, though Bill knew his face at least and was smart enough to realize that he was a teacher. Excellent. Maybe he could find out what was going on, though he didn't recall the teacher having any kind of medical training. Oh well. He was there to help, right?

"Mr Bradshaw!" He whined, stumbling dramatically down the hallway towards the teacher, "Mr Bradshaw I'm dying!" He called again, gripping his heart through his shirt and making like he was about to pass out. It was all a very dramatic act. William just wanted some well deserved attention, and if Gabriel wasn't around to give it to him he'd suck it out of someone else instead. "What's happening to me I think I'm definitely passing away, tell Gabriel I love him. Tell him I want Sweet Williams at my funeral." William really did feel ill, though. He didn't know if he was going to die, but he had a raging fever and the amount of vomit he'd produced today alone was probably at least something to be concerned about. </div>

<div align=center>With a rumble of a groan the man rubbed his face, the realization of how kids were being impacted every second. Half the kids in half of his classes were down for the count, and yet he hadn't seen any recently. That only made his anxiety for the scenario even harder, even if...

His thoughts were cut off with a sudden burst in the door, the grown man jumping in response. Luckily, the pot didn't spill in his lap. That would have sucked. Soon that was pushed aside when the single word 'dying' rang through his ears. Instantly he swiveled around in his seat to face a student, though he may have been exaggerating just a tiny bit.

"W-woah, take it easy there son." Leeroy muttered, his voice deep and sporadic from his lowering body temperature. He set the coffee pot down before looking at his papers, seeing that he wasn't a student. William. At least the name was familiar. The dinosaur boy he was teaching talked about him. Raising his brow he watched him carry on, waiting for him to calm down. "You're not gonna die. It's just a flu-" He cut himself off to cough, burying his face in his jacket sleeve. "Or at least I hope so."

Sniffling he looked over Bill, gesturing for him to sit down if he needed to take a breather. God knows it took probably all the energy the poor guy had to even muster up that performance. "Now I reckon I gotta be honest witchu- I don't have a damn clue what's goin on with anything or anyone." He sighed. "And 'snot like I got tha medical abilities to try'n alleviate whatever you're feelin. But I do wanna help as much as I can with, y'know, powers n' stuff." What exactly did Bill have, anyway? He hadn't picked up on that in rumors or whatever. "If you want, I can help ya." He swiveled around to grasp a clipboard, clicking the pen. "I just need your last name. My memories gone ta shit basically."</div>

<div align=center>Just a flu? The audacity! Though William's attention was snapped back to what Leeroy was saying when he spoke about something to do with powers. What did he mean? What was going on with people's powers? Nothing had happened to him yet, all he'd felt was ill. "Powers? What's wrong with my powers?" He asked, they always played up so if they had changed at all then he hadn't realized it. Maybe it hasn't kicked in properly yet. He'd heard of the bug, but hadn't really looked into it much. Now I've caught it, great. Just great. William caught everything. If there was a bug around, it was guaranteed he would get it.

"Oh!" He'd been asked a question, "my last name?" He asked, tilting his head to the side. "Beckett." The boy answered, with a nod. "William Beckett." Leeroy seemed sick, as well. Bill felt a little sorry for bothering you. William could heal things to some extent, but he barely knew anything about this sickness, he was good at healing things that he knew about, like grazes and hangovers. He was especially practiced at hangovers, in fact. "Are.. Are you feeling okay? I'm sorry. I'm bothering you. I.. I don't know where my boyfriend is and I hope he's okay, what if he's sick too?"

He hoped Gabriel wasn't sick. William was frightened of his powers, if they started going on the fritz then that could be dangerous. He made a mental note to find him as soon as possible to make sure he was okay. But what if you make him sick? He didn't like that thought, either. Gabriel was an angel, though. Bill didn't even know if he could catch this bug. "You should see how much vomit I sicked up today."</div>

<div align=center>Not meaning to scare him, Leeroy quickly tried to edit his question. "Ah, no. I ain't sayin nothin is wrong right off the bat, but I'm just curious ta find out if you've felt somethin has been goin on with the powers ya have." He took a deep sigh, flipping through his notes of stuff he noticed in his decreasing classes. "It's just that this illness is nothin like I've ever seen before, and I've been in the school long 'nuff to know what the current bug goin around is." Looking back up at Bill, he readied to tell the truth, not sugar coating what exactly was going on. Besides, he was old enough to be told stuff like this and hopefully it wouldn't get him in a frenzy. "Everyone who's gettin sick not only has really bad flu symptoms but their powers are goin haywire too. Poor shapeshifter in one of my classes can't hold their people form for longer than two seconds. There are psychics and stuff who can't get a grip on their mind's power. Things just keep breakin wherever som'a them go. Even I'm beginnin to feel it. My core temperature is 57 degrees Fahrenheit and it keeps goin down. I'm afraid if somethin happens to one of ma limbs it ain't comin back. God forbid I explode." Though he wasn't sure if Bill knew of his specific powers it was something he felt was worth sharing if it meant that he'd have a better idea of just what was going on. Leeroy just honestly hoped the best for everyone here. Some of this kids couldn't afford to lose control. And, from what he heard about the boy in front of him, the sentiment upheld with him as well.

But enough of that heavy stuff. "Well it's nice ta get to know ya properly, Mr. Beckett..." With that, he filled out the rest of the form in a matter of seconds. He looked back up to him with a small hint of a smile upon being asked for his well being. "I ain't dead yet. Feel like it, but I doubt this illness is enough to get anyone ta keel over." Soon enough however, his apology and bringing back up of the family name had him changing subjects. "Nah, you ain't botherin me. I wanted to help anyway. I'm supposed to help people in this sorta thing... But so far I haven't done much." He frowned a bit again as he dwelled on it. He did feel useless, watching things go down as he was in the middle of it. But at least there was someone he could talk to get his mind off of things.

"I haven't seen Gabe all day, so I don't know if he's okay or not. I'm sure he is though... Ain't he an angel now?" He had heard things about him, both his death and resurrection. And now he was an angel. Nothing unusual there. Upon being told about Bill's symptoms he opened up a drawer with medicine in it. He was loaned some from the nurse to keep the traffic out of there. It was the least he could do to help. "I pretty much got the basics in here for that. You need anythin?"</div>

<div align=center>Pausing in his dramatic 'I'm dying' act to listen to Leeroy, Bill stared at him wide-eyed. He hoped this would be over as fast as it had began, he didn't like being sick, it stopped him from doing an awful lot of things. Of course, he didn't really mind being cooped up in his bed all the time, but without Gabriel to keep him entertained, it was a lot less interesting. He frowned as Leeroy began to talk about the shapeshifter in one of his classes, that didn't sound very fun. Imagine if you were stuck as some kind of animal whilst this was going on? You wouldn't be able to take medicine if you were a dog.

Explode? He wondered what Leeroy meant by that, of course, he didn't know much about the man's powers, he didn't really know him all that well. Bill smiled softly as he was addressed as Mr Beckett. "I... Uh.. Just call me William, it's.. It's okay." It felt strange to him being called something so formal. Though, he nodded softly when asked if Gabriel was an angel now. "I.. Yeah.. He is." It still confused him to think about it, the situation had been altogether very overwhelming for poor William, he hadn't been quite right ever since.

Medicine. William grimaced at the thought, but what he could he do about it? His head was throbbing and his body ached, it would likely do him good to take something. "Uhm.. Do you have any liquid medicine?" He asked softly, "like.. Tylenol or Calpol?" It was embarrassing, asking for that, liquid medicine was for children. "I.. Don't.. Really like tablets." That was probably an understatement, however.</div>

<div align=center>"Ah, alright. Pardon me William." Leeroy corrected as he was half dazing in his consciousness. He was used to formalities and distancing, keeping a professional attitude with all of his students. Well, minus a select few that either were really good or a pain in his ass. Already the sickly gym teacher could tell Bill wasn't a trouble making sort. A bit dramatic, but that was to be expected in a time of paranoia like this. He just had to keep a cool head and everything would be okay. Hopefully.

With a masculine grunt Leeroy acknowledged the young man's general explanation of Gabe's situation. It was good he was back, and in good timing too. Having students pass in his school was enough to mess him up for awhile, especially when the cause was power related. Then he could do something. Gabe was even resurrected before Leeroy had the chance to carry out his guilt through bourbon and whiskey. "Good ta hear he's doin okay. You'll find him somewhere, probably just avoidin this plague like... Well, the plague." He chuckled briefly before digging into the medicine drawer, pulling out a bottle of Tylenol as requested.

"Sure 'nuff do. Here son." Alongside the liquid handed to him was a bottle of water for it to go down easier. "Should be plenty left... No one's really come in yet, and god knows the medicine'll kill me before this disease does." He shrugged. "Side effect of ma dumb power. If heatin up ta inhuman temperatures and blowin up right after didn't become a pain then not bein able ta consume anything edible sure does." But enough complaining. Leeroy looked at him with another twitch of a smile. "Sorry for ramblin. Hope the medicine works for ya."

Now back to regular business. "If'n you need anythin else from me don't hesitate to ask. It's gonna be a long night here and I figure I might as well make everyone's life easier." From a locked drawer he pulled out a small flask, chuckling a bit. It was against his job but it was justified here. "Includin mine." He tossed the flask back in after a quick swig before getting the clipboard. "For tha record, what exactly are your powers if'n you don't mind tellin me? It'll help tryin ta figure out what's goin on before it's too late."</div>

<div align=center>That was true, though Bill didn't even know if Gabriel had any idea about the bug going round at the moment. I have to keep him safe! The boy wasn't sure if he'd be able to deal with Gabe dying a second time. Dying again might mean he didn't come back the next time, and William was hanging off Gabriel like a monkey recently, he was really rather desperate not to let him out of his sight at the moment. However, they didn't have the same lessons and therefore that was really rather difficult. William had barely been away from Gabe's dorm recently, though. At least he could clean it and make sure it didn't get messy again.

He took the medicine he was given and thanked the man softly, debating whether to take it now and make a fool of himself or wait for Gabriel to force feed him it later on. The latter was probably the better option, without the angel William would probably just sick it all back up within a matter of minutes. "My powers?" Nothing had really happened with his powers, apart from a few violent headaches that had made him sick. "I.. Guess I'm kind of like Professor X." Comparing it to him sounded cooler, though he didn't think the abilities were really the same. "I'm a telepath... And an empath too, I can heal little things, but I'm not sure what that is." His powers were more or less completely mental based, useless, in his opinion.</div>

<div align=center>Though the man could only care for so much at one time, he did hold a concern over the general population of the school. All his years of work into making students more confident and proud of their abilities could be erased in a matter of days, hours, or even fractions of a minute. And that was what he was scared of. Never mind a possible demise involving the corruption of his own system. He had an entire school to worry about and incident reports just itching to be reluctantly filled out. Even worse was the mere thought of attending yet another student funeral this year. If it wasn't the powers that would slaughter one another it sure as hell could be a moment's worth of carelessness that ensured demise.

But of course Leeroy didn't want to think of the bad right now. His nerves already were frayed and the last thing he needed was to lose it in front of the young man in front of him. Besides, he was too manly to lose his cool. Just didn't fit his image. He looked back to the clipboard and merely noted what Bill had revealed, not getting the first reference quite. "Not all that familiar with super hero movies. Guess it's cause I feel like I live in one and don't really need ta watch 'em." He chuckled slightly, knowing enough that it was some X-men reference. Soon enough though he jotted that down. Another psychic. This might be a problem.

"Huh. Nice." Leeroy muttered in response to what he stated in his abilities, though honestly did think they were cool. At least he couldn't teleport things or people to the oblivion. Then there might be a problem. Fortunately, this wasn't the case. But he still had to watch out. "Just... Be careful these next coupla days... Since your powers are mind based and all it'll be best just ta take it easy so they don't go haywire." Just to make sure things weren't getting overly serious, he leaned back and folded his arms behind his head. "I'd write ya a pass to get outta whatever classes you have for the next few days, but I don't want the admins ta be on both of our asses for it." Though honestly, if it meant he could be helped and not possibly blow up half the building then it was worth it.

"Seriously though, if there's a real problem then I'm sure they'd understand. They just don't want any kids hurtin themselves with their own potential, probably. Like, healin can be a fickle power. I kinda got it myself. I can grow anythin back if it's damaged, but today I'm scared ta test that anymore. I just hope the best for ya there Bill. It seems like everyone's attempts at gettin things under control are doin more harm than good." He sighed. "And as I was just thinkin earlier, there's been too many damn funerals this year already."</div>

<div align=center>William was innocently oblivious to any student deaths this year, he was generally steered away from sad places due to the fact that it overwhelmed his powers so much. Going to a funeral would most likely be the death of him. All that sadness forced into his mind for him to deal with was possibly one of the worst things he could ever think of. It was hard enough dealing with his own sadness at times like that, let alone the sadness of fifty other people. All that was too much for one mind to cope with, especially one as feeble as William's.

He smiled at the compliment, he always thought the powers he had were awfully boring. All they did was cause him problems, and he really didn't like that. They made him all too emotional most of the time, and if he was in a room full of people he'd probably come out with a splitting headache for the rest of the day. To William, it was like everyone in a full room was screaming at him all at the same time and he had absolutely no way whatsoever of getting them to shut up. That's why foil hats came in so handy. "I'd like a pass to get out of lessons... Please..." Mainly for the safety of others, if his powers went on the fritz there was no telling what he could end up doing to someone. "And... Funerals? What funerals?"</div>
