"So very nice to see that most of you could make it this fine evening," Edwin quipped rather sarcastically as he folded his arms in front of his chest and leaned back very casually against his desk, watching coolly as students started filtering into detention with varying degrees of tardiness.
"Oh look, someone who's almost on time... if 'on time' were seven minutes ago," the Arts teacher stated snarkily as he addressed a "regular", who quickly made their way to the middle of the classroom and took a seat, deliberately ignoring the vampire teacher's, Edwin St. Aubwyn, biting commentary on their late arrival.
Edwin was, aside from Starlight's contemporary Arts teacher, one of the few people on staff who voluntarily took on class detentions. His prickly, slightly sarcastic, as well as no-nonsense demeanor, was actually quite well-suited (most times) to situations that were often charged with teenage rebellion, defensiveness or angst.
